Believe so; I think there are actually 3 of them in the league.
-
LOL. Didn't even think of that. Maybe all the folks in Houston are watching that and not at the game. Sounds like a Philly crowd in there.

Shoulda been a pick!

I'm digging the candy apple red helmets. One of my favorite colors. Their whole look is pretty good; the Bills COULD go in that direction, but I think they need more blue.

I wouldn't get caught up in labels with OBJ. If he comes here, he's coming here to get a ring, and he knows how to get open and catch balls. It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

Buffalo has as much great architecture, pound for pound, as any city in America. Not necessarily of this type, but that's OK. That's how architecture works. Great design is great; it all fits together. Of course the stadium shouldn't be in Orchard Park, at all, but that's another discussion...and very Buffalo. I said they would go open air in in OP several years ago. I wasn't wrong.

Ettiquacy when you aren't a fan of your local team????

LOL...spell correct did that, which doesn't make sense. -
Really, really bad. I don't think I've seen hockey pants that were white like that. The whole thing had a dingy, dirty look to it. And then they take the worst piece of sports graphic art of all time (the goat) and not only bring it back, but in the cheesy yellow/blue/white color scheme. I'm in the minority here, but I would LOVE for us to go back to black/white/red but with a new logo, maybe based on the original. We looked (and actually were) as tough as hell in those all black unis back in the day... Ray, May, Boughner, Barnaby, Primeau...I loved those teams and those unis!

You know, he was never the same after the unfortunate Denny Pratt tragedy. LOL

Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?

Yeah, but the guy who plugs in and does the same thing with a new name won't be asking for tons of money. He won't be back! -
Ravens WR Rashod Bateman done for the year - foot surgery

Big loss no doubt, but there is something that is not quite fully baked about the Baltimore team anyway. They are one of the better teams in the league, no doubt, but not true championship contenders. Too many chinks in their armor. This is now another one. -
Alien as a piece of work is MASSIVELY superior to Aliens in every way. But I actually really like ALIENS. Among the 10 million Alien sequels, it's pretty much the only I enjoy watching. They managed to capture a lot of the vibe of the original. Alien the original is one of the best movies ever made, and one of the absolutely most copied/ripped off films of all time. There are 10 million movies that have come along since that are, more or less, an Alien ripoff. It spawned an entire genre of film. That's not easy to do!

Right, why engage in conversation about movies. Simply create a list of movies. WTF is the point of that? How very 2BD of you! We already know what movies have been made. Why list them here? Most threads devolve into this type of thing. "Name your 3 best Bills defenders of all time" which quickly deteriorates into a long list of past Bills defenders. I don't have a favorite movie; too hard to do that. Somewhere in my Top 10 would be: Godfather I and II which I view as really 1 piece of work. Apocalypse Now 2001: A Space Odyssey Schindler's List Alien Dr. Strangelove Goodfellas It definitely had a "rah-rah" Patriotic vibe to it, especially at the time of its release. There were a ton of these war movies, some of which I enjoy. Another Bogart WWII film that I would much rather watch than Casablanca is "Sahara".

He was only 72! Kind of young to go these days. He was in a class of his own for a long time. He and Dave Jennings were like the kings of punting for a long time, at least as I remember it. Now they are all good.

It really IS very well designed and the whole thing couldn't be more "Buffalo." Extra points for being clever. But it's also completely lacking in class and is pretty damned cheesy. If you are going to mark up your body forever, I would go in a different direction. At the risk of being a little stupid here, that Josh-drawn logo has legitimate cubist inspiration in it. Note how the bison is drawn in profile, so you see the side, but at the face he changed up the perspective like you are looking at the front of the bison, so you see both eyes and the full mouth, but it's still on the side. That's very Picasso.

Blue on Blue for Jets- Plus Records of the Bills uniforms

I hear you, but I can also see that coming across as kind of "super hero" if you know what I mean. We don't want the guys to look like comic book characters. -
I have NO IDEA how people don't inherently understand that "REDSKIN" is a nasty, derogatory term from what is now a bygone era. Would you enjoy living in Japan and going to a baseball game played by the Osaka Round Eyes? Or the Yokohama Whities? LOL Come on people. The funny thing is, no sports team, ever, gave themselves an Indian-oriented nickname with an intent to be derogatory TO THEMSELVES. They are ALL meant to celebrate positive virtues about the Indian warrior culture, I guess, or something like that. Ask George Custer and his *entirely* annihilated unit who served under him if the Lakota Indians are tough bastards. Elements of the 101st Airborne Division gave themselves Mohawk haircuts and WAR PAINT face treatments on June 5, 1944, prior to making their drops in the early hours of the 6th on D-Day. Why would they do that? Because they were *real* warriors about to go into battle, and they were trying to tap into that native American warrior mojo. I personally find this to be one of the coolest things I have read about in the context of WWII. Makes me proud to be an American. Were they doing this to "mock" Indians or themselves? Hell no! It was a celebration. And there are actual accountings of Germans being scared when they ran into these guys in the dark! They were kind of spooked by them. It's just that "red skin" was almost uniquely derogatory among those Indian-based sports nicknames and it should have gone.

He always had nice things to say about others. He was that kind of guy.

Week 9: Bills at Jets - Sunday Nov. 6th 1pm

It's the old George Carlin bit about stuff and *****. For some reason, all of my ***** is stuff, but all of your stuff is *****. -
It's not a soccer thing, it's a human being thing. Everyone does this all over the world in all sports.
-
I have to say, it's fun when we do, especially if they get home! But honestly, I say "stay pat" with rushing 4 and doing what we do best. I'm expecting a lot of INTs this game!

The fact that someone is going to add a guy of his talent "for free" (not giving anything up for him other than money) is ridiculous. Total no brainer, if he is physically ready to go.

That's an interesting comment. When I saw it for the first time, I felt exactly the opposite. It looks, feels, and smells like an "old movie" to the point of it being a distraction. The dialogue, acting, delivery...it's just a very primitively shot film compared to (good) modern standards. I never got the enormous love for Casablanca. Though I do realize I'm probably a minority opinion here.
