9/18/25 GAMEDAY Bills vs Dolphins Post Game Thread TNF
CincyBillsFan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. We're watching a scripted game plan by the Bills. Make that 39 yard FG and get off the field late in the 2nd quarter on 3rd & 12 or 3rd & 10 and the O likely gets points before the end of the half. Net, game over after the Bills score at the start of the 3rd. It didn't go that way but in the end we still won by 10. The Bills are doubling down on what they did last season. -

A win is a win. I was hoping for a little less 2nd half stress but the Bills pursuit of home field advantage remains in good shape. I can't help but think this entire team is being driven by analytics with the offense having a governor installed that limits it's explosiveness but also eliminates TO's and wins TOP. Now let's get healthy over the next 10 days and take it to NO at the Ralph. -

They are wasting the prime years of Allen. What a freaking shame. -

Couple of big differences including: * a Bills team that was in some disarray at the time. Remember that bad bad loss in London to the Jags the week before they barely beat the Giants. In fact the Bills would lose 4 of 6 games with their only wins being close ones over the Giants & Bucs at home. * DaBold had special insight on Allen and the Bills offense. * The Giants are not a rival game nor were they even a conference game. Tonight the Bills are playing against a rival division team. -
Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF

This is a fair take but there is a huge difference between a "desperate" team and one that is injury riddled and falling apart. KC & Houston are desperate in every sense of the word and I would hate to be playing either this week. But the Dolphin injuries on their O line and in their secondary are substantial. Add to that is the fact that this is a short week with the game in Buffalo. Sure "on any given Sunday" applies here to but I'm having a hard time worrying about this game. -
WEEK 2. 9/14/2025. Around the rest of the NFL.

Me to. Why on earth do the powers that be think more people down here in Cincinnati are interested in the Dallas/NY game, featuring2 teams that will not make the playoffs, then a rematch of the Super Bowl. It's insane. -
He had the groin injury last week and it limited him in practice but obviously not in the game. From what I can see he was a full go today.

Agree and I'm an Ohio State fan. IMO McCarthy outplayed Williams last night. And if I'm a Vikings fan I love how he bounced back from a very bad pick 6. This was a demonstration of an all important intangible for an NFL QB. -
Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)

IMO the idea that Bishop's play was a major factor in our defensive woes against the Ravens is not supported by my eye test. Sure he got trucked by Henry (join the crowd) but the gaping holes in the D line and the obliteration of our LB's contributed more then anything Bishop did. It seemed like Rapp struggled way more then Bishop, which was understandable given the time he missed. I also didn't see much from Johnson either. The fact is that the Ravens offense, particularly with Henry, is probably the worst match up the Bills D faces with it's undersized LB's & Safety's. -
Allen and the O don't always have the MetLife blues, remember this game? https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/401326469/bills-jets

I believe both Kincaid & Knox were also on the field as the Bills went with 3 TE's. Both Knox and Kincaid went to their left making it look like a short screen while Hawes went straight down the field on a seam play. From what I could see that was a cleverly designed play by Brady taking advantage of the Bills early game short passing to the boundary.

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF

The safeties were the least of the Bills problems on D last night. Tackling Henry 20 yards downfield when he has a head steam is a challenge for any safety in the league. The issue was that our D line and LB's were often being abused at the point of attack. -
Week 1, Ravens v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
CincyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I may be wrong but it looked to me like McD put a governor on Brady and the Bills offense in order to protect his defense. In the first half they wasted back to back possessions with very conservative play calling. It wasn't until the end of the half when the O was unleashed and Allen hit two big passes to set up the FG. In the 4th quarter the Bills had no choice but to turn Allen & the O lose and it showed. -
The Hawes catch was a perfect pass. The TDt o Coleman was tipped by Knock and if he hadn't touched it it was going right Coleman. There's no luck about either play.

Don't forget Kincaid who made two great catches that accounted for 10 points. And Bosa forced a critical fumble.

Bass was very good in the layoffs last season and was 4 - 4 from 50 or more yards out. -
Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
CincyBillsFan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills had TWO 70 yard drives for TD's in the first half. Their only short field TD drive was after the Jackson fumble and return. Bingo. In many ways the coaching decisions, particularly in the 2nd half, came very close to again losing the Bills a playoff game. The last FG was maddening because it told me that McD thought an 8 point lead would lock the game up when a TD would have really locked the game up. -

But did Jackson play better then Allen in that game even taking out the 2 TO's? Allen was fantastic in the 1st half badly outplaying Jackson in building a 21 - 10 lead. In the 2nd half the Bills played not to lose and were not taking any chances which limited Allen's chances to make some more big plays. In contrast and as you noted Jackson was playing catch up against a weak defense protecting a lead. He was always going to put up better numbers than Allen in the 2nd half. What needs to be repeated over and over again is that the defense almost blew another playoff game as did the coaches decision to play it close to the vest in the 2nd half. -

True but then again this is going to happen when going up against the best DC in the NFL. The fact remains that Allen made a tremendous throw to put the ball in play and convert the 4th down. Kincaid had both hands on the ball going to the ground. If you watch high school football that same catch is often made. I do believe that if Kincaid had been healthy he snags that ball but pushing off on that knee probably hurt like hell. -
But for people to do this based on Allen's playoff record versus Mahomes they would have to ignore the fact that Allen has been superb in those loses playing exceptionally well. Only someone with zero football knowledge would not recognize the massive disparity in playoff performances between Allen & Jackson. Last season Jackson's 2 bad TO's against the Bills cost them the game and back in the 2020 playoffs Jackson's 102 yard Pick 6 lost the Ravens that game. Then throw in Jackson's dismal 2023 Championship game performance against KC and IMO if the playoffs are factored in it is crazy to pick Jackson over Allen.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 3
CincyBillsFan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch the Joe Marino video on the All 22 thread thread. He showed multiple good plays by Bishop. Joe said Bishop had to flash and in only 2 series he did. IMO he looked like a solid starter playing against backups. This was huge because it showed what those of us who are optimistic about Bishop thought was the deal - Bishop had missed a lot of practices and was rusty against the Bears. After a weeks practice, Bishop looked a lot more decisive and confident and had knocked the rust off. The issue IMO is NOT talent as Bishop has more then enough to be a very good NFL safety. It's whether or not he can stay healthy. -
Wow, what do base this on?

Envy may be one of the worst sins. After all Pegula has done for Buffalo it's beyond petty to carp about his freaking boat. Some folks need to play a little "It's a Wonderful life" mind game and consider what Buffalo would be like today if Pegula never bought the Bills & Sabres? Would either team still be in the city? Would there be any development on the waterfront?
