Quite the enthusiast with his commentary.

Why. Does. McCoutney. Sentence. Every. word. He. Says…

White gloves it is!

Definitely an uphill battle but doable. If, this week, Miami lose to NYJ and we beat Dallas I have no doubt at all of getting into the playoffs. Of the 8 teams at 7-6/8-4 half of them are going to drop games. Let’s hope it’s what we need to get in an host a game in Buffalo

As long as we aren’t forcing those atrocious screens again I see that as an improvement. Big test to see what he does to negate Parsons and help Brown out.

Did you vogue in the mirror after all that work?

Hyde’s best plays will always be the onside recovery for a TD and that diving INT in the 21/22 playoffs… Completely turned the whole dynamic of each game; nail in the coffin type plays. He’s had some gems but they were definitely wow plays. Sad to see him go but in the interest of the way the NFL is now, you need an athletic guy back there. I think that’s the only option for him and Poyer. The nod goes to Po for being slightly more capable to not have another long term injury. Tug on anything long enough you are able to milk it. At least I should tell my wife that.

Baltimore aren’t it. Streaky team that relies solely on running the ball and other teams making errors. Think they drop two of their next 3. Hopefully one of them isn’t Miami. Would rather play them than travel to Arrowhead again.

I feel as though the Chargers are going to do a 180°. Not saying we lose but I don’t feel like the team who showed up and rolled over against the Chargers Thursday will be the same one who show up on the 23rd. Saving grace is Easton Stick is absolutely rough. The Patriots? Who knows. After the last outing against them they shouldn’t be taking it lightly as with Billy on the outs that team may just give 100% effort for the guy every play.

Saw a YouTube short a few weeks ago of the Kelce’s podcast where they talked about DBs always wearing red gloves against KC to get away with grabbing the jerseys. Definitely something to it.

Was this the historic portion they were talking about?

Man, Chargers blow without Herbert.

Great post that covers valuable points on each player. I think it comes down to one or the other if the salaries are the same in Hyde/Poyer; leadership and ability to stay on the field. That nod goes to Poyer. Hopefully Hyde comes back on a cheap deal to have a crack at a SB if it doesn’t pan out this year. Benford is decent at CB. Can’t see them moving him elsewhere especially if that cap hit to Tre is something they move on from. 2¢

Gabe Davis- Do you want him back and for how much $

How long into next season until a “We should have kept Gabe…” thread? Over/under 6 weeks? -
2 New Jersey QBs named player of the week.

That’s a brilliant analogy lol I just feel Wilson, with actual decent coaching, could at least be a low-tier starter in this league. That offensive line is a disaster which mitigates the talent they have at skill positions. Guy is a slow decision maker and reader of the field. Maybe if he was in the same or similar system as Tua where his first read is schemed open you’d see him be somewhat competent. Contrary to probably most people I actually want the Jets and Pats to return to somewhat decent football as I believe it better tests our team for success. -
If that is reaching then so is your point of acting like everything is hunky dory. There is an issue underlying somewhere and that needs to be addressed. You’re completely masking my point with other statements that I was not appertaining to or mentioning… I will repeat: he is having a lack of separation and several uncharacteristic drops. I’m not seeing where people can’t “be on him” for that. This coming from the same guy that claims they are “only going to utilize Diggs” a month ago, that Davis needs competition because of drops but also said he was going to be perfectly fine during the off season back in April… Two sides of an argued opinion here. Things change… And Diggs play has done just that. You’re also the same guy who claimed Higgins is a “bonafide #1 on any team”. Stats between Gabe and Tee aren’t far off when you consider Higgins has had 98 more targets and 90 more receptions over the same span of years… So what does that mean for a guy who questions Davis as a number 2 but screams similar production is that of a bonafide numer 1... After Diggs there is a drop off. A significant one. That is my only concern with his play as of late. A valid one at that.

Feeding him the big plays a few times a game had us almost juggernaut-esque for a while there. Stretching the field with mostly Gabe for the underneath guys was a success. Can a Gabe replacement be better? Of course. But him and the passing offense have obliterated defenses.

Special teams has been rough outside Gillian’s fumble.

Who know maybe you’ll both leave happy from there this Sunday 😂

Ok but volume of targets matters. And if he’s on pace for that it’s come in about half the games; incredible yes but again, volume of targets. Lack of separation and some uncharacteristic drops have happened… His stat line doesn’t change that.

I agree, it is a good thing but both are developing players. Doesn’t matter if he’s smothered or not. He’s of the excellence where that shouldn’t be a problem game in, game out. Did it matter week 1 against Sauce or Miami’s decent secondary? I’m not denying he is a beast just that from observational he’s struggled in big games where the competition is tough which means we are seeing something surface which is a cause for concern going forward given the personnel and carry over into next year.

Ariza, IMO, is only coming back to a team who dumped him if they are the only ones calling for his services which I doubt. Guy might end up on roster fill next year or a PS.
