  1. don't want to but hard to avoid. kind of pisses me off there has been maybe 2 super bowls in the past 20 years that I could just enjoy and not give a ***** about the outcome.
  2. i've gotta assume there are some Pats fans here. which is odd, because I can't imagine spending time on another team's internet message board. Shy of being a fan of a college team that had one of our guys. The Josh Allen Wyoming fans make sense to me, for example.
  3. give williams a chance to walk off field to standing o
  4. Elway looks like a horse. Young, Marino, Brady stand alone.
  5. pythagoras says it is only about a 45-47 yard throw.
  6. probably true. they definitely don't completely trust him. they go uber conservative every time they get a lead. Run, run. pass on 3rd and long. another completion % killer. the difference between tyrod and him is that he can make some huge throws that tyrod doesn't have the ability to. It is so nice to have a qb that can throw to any part of the field now.
  7. COuld have just as easily been around 60%. A couple drops. A couple of HUGE third down completions called back. And a lot of deep throws. I am a big stats guy, but i think anybody not obsessed by it is going to see way more good than bad. the debbie downers are definitely the minority today. most people get it.
  8. On an individual basis, the articles can make sense, but when you see his total body of work, and read the negative titles on a day in and day out basis, you realize what you are dealing with. It's fine in doses. But as John said, when that is all you bring to the table it is a HUGE turn off.
  9. let's not the blame the guy who eats all the pizza. the problem is obviously with the guy who didn't order enough.
  10. Bill Belichick was pretty conservative the Pats, until Brady proved himself over a number of years. As he got better and better, they were able to open up to a greater extent. It wasn't until 07, six years in, that they really opened up.
  11. 90-91 season. Reds win world series. Bulls beat Lakers. Wide Right. My life as a sports fan got off to such a promising start ?
  12. worth reiterating, Mccarron did not want to be a backup to these guys. Anderson will fill that role better. He understands why he is here. And he is a competent backup who has seen a lot. Good move that should have been made 6 weeks ago.
  13. I picked our guys, and a lot of it has to do with Allen being such a natural leader. He is hard not to fall in love with, even if you were pissed when the pick was made. I am throwing logic out the window on this one and going with the home team. I 100% understand that might not be the best choice, but I'm not going to overanalyze it. The two qbs are much closer than the numbers are showing right now. how close, we will not know for a couple years.
  14. I had to listen to the chargers game on the radio, but it sounds like he may have just been giving a lot of constructive criticism. He is a qb, so maybe he focused a bit more attention on the josh, rather than the line, etc. he was on the radio in buffalo, the next day, and couldn't say enough good things about Allen. Something along the line that he has a chance to be the best of this class. Talked a lot about how you just want to see one or two things getting corrected or at least noticeably worked on, from game to game.
  15. I don't know how Allen is going to turn out, but it is clear that he is a born leader of men.
