  1. i have been as down on bass and Bojo as much as anybody. I have been really impressed with both the past few weeks. long field goals, consistent. Huge punts. punts inside the 10, etc.
  2. I'd love it because we're the better team. I'd hate it because of the extra stress it would bring to the game. The Pats, and now Brady and the Bucs, doing well stresses me out almost as much as the bills playing poorly. the PTSD is real.
  3. good stuff. i have to say i am really pleased with myself on how i stayed optimistic about defense when we were only 5 or 6 games into the season. optimism in the face of mediocrity is not my typical MO. Just knowing we had so many pieces from defenses that were highly ranked before and knowing we've had a coach that knows how to put it all together. No preseason hurt. Losing a couple guys hurt. But the best will always figure it out. I have seen so many patriots teams that didn't look good on defense until the end of the year and playoffs. McD (props to frazier as well) is a legit defensive mind. Trust the process.
  4. There are different types of leaders. Brady can get away with getting in a guy's face and getting after them about putting in work because he is the hardest working guy on the team. If Kyler is the hardest working guy on the team, he will be okay.
  5. i love collinsworth. very polarizing guy. i have this conversation with friends any time he is on. I also like Michaels, but Tirico has a very good rep himself. i have not seen him call many games, personally.
  6. im not sold on him as a head coach. im not even certain he's a great o coordinator. but i wouldn't give him up. the devil you know, all.
  7. this is probably wishful thinking. head coaching opps might be once in a lifetime. you are only one terrible season away from no longer being considered a shining candidate. Maybe he doesn't leave for a sh!t job like the Jets or Detroit, but he will leave if given the chance at a promising opportunity. i think
  8. i believe he decided to stammer about how it was because the bucs were down so much, so was forgivable to be over aggressive in a bad spot. i think i said aftet that play that Brady had just pulled a Josh Allen. good to see that brilliant vets make the same really dumb mistakes as our guy.
  9. the lack of adjustments when the opposition stifles our passing game worries me. Maybe im being too picky. it just seems there are too many long stretches where we can't do anything at all.
  10. He does a good job running the overall program. as long as he brings in talented to guys to delegate to, I feel good. I'm not really sold on Daboll though. I think we could go to the next level with the RIGHT change. It shouldn't happen until he leaves for greener pastures though.
  11. a few things. The NFC does not have a solid, complete No. 1. Tampa Bay has almost as good a shot as anybody. Tony Romo gives love to the Bills. I listened to him on Bill Simmons podcast last week, and when simmons asked him for dark horse super bowl contenders, he named Arizona and Buffalo. Multiple times. He likes McDermott. And he likes Allen. Didn't have a bad thing to say, but said he is still learning the game. Which we all know is true.bu Arians is a stubborn coach and is not building or even tailoring very much to his Hall of Fame qb. It is his offense, and he continues to call a ton of plays that go against Brady's strengths. Other posters have already said it. Brady likes to use his rb as a safety net. he likes that edelman type of guy to go underneath. They aren't doing a lot of that stuff. they are chucking the ball down field a lot more than most teams, and without success. Arians is a decent coach, but teams need to build their system around the talent of their players. Especially when the actually have talented players. Do you think Peyton Manning was running an Adam Gase offense in Denver? Nope. that guy came to town and built the same offense he ran in Indy all of those years. He put in the work. And the coaches were smart enough to get the heck out of the way and give input only when and where needed. Brady is not what he used to be, but he is still very capable. Arians needs to figure it out.
  12. haha. pretty disingenuous to refer to that as a replay. the pre-color light bright must have been a sight to behold. really enjoyed that video
  13. I do not trade him for a 32 year old Russ. No chance.
  14. I don't think I'd trade him for anybody. If I read that we traded him for Mahomes, I would be sad. and then I'd get over it.
  15. Good post. I believe this is the majority of how athletes pray in sports.
  16. yes. can't believe you are the first to mention this. He can't pin inside the 20 to save his life. never mind trying to get it inside the 10.
  17. can we talk about our punter for a minute? that guy is a terrible. huge leg, but the worse I have ever seen at pinning the ball inside the 20. and that 12 yard punt? the guy just has no control of his leg. hopefully this is something that can be fixed over an offseason.
  18. It is great that allen does what he does at the end of games. that said, our offense looked as hopeless as I've seen it look in all 3 of allen's years during most of the 2nd half today. combine that with AZs running game looking almost unstoppable for a quarter and a half, it was tough to watch. this was easily the toughest game for me to watch all season.
  19. that's just not the same as 4 guys going 2 to 3 feet in the air and coming down on top of each other. it's not a coordination or athleticism thing.
  20. No possible way i put allen in their. he is a good enough athlete to make a play, but he is not used to making plays on balls against guys who do that day in and day out. The chances of making an awkward move because he is not used to that combination and specific type of physicality and body awareness are just too high. it has disaster written all over it. He comes down funny on a guys foot and he is done.
  21. McD is flawed but overall the right guy. he needs to recognize his weaknesses and put guys around him to fill in the holes. A level coaches hire A level assistants. B level coaches hire C level assistants. Hopefully he does the right thing
  22. hopkins might be the number 1 wideout in the NFL. what is most frustrating is that he has no business being in AZ. O'Brien gave him away and should have been fired the night that trade was made.
  23. our defense did not play a good overall game, but they made some huge plays (a lot of luck) and big stops in the 4th qtr. but there were long stretches where we couldn't stop Murray or their backs. If not for turnovers (again, a lot of luck involved), AZ scores mid 30s to 40 without needing the hail mary.
