MVP vote - Josh got 2nd most votes

rodgers is not a demon. he is just missing a leadership quality that has kept the most talented qb of the past 15 years from winning more than 1 SB. WE know it's a team game, but the QB is a huge part of molding what the team is. -

im not sure rodgers is the worst guy in the world, but he is not a natural born leader. you can just see his demeanor on the sideline with the defense, or his guys when things aren't going well. He's a bit of a baby. I think it was in the game against the Bucs, after the offense put some points on the board to make a game, Rodgers was communicating with the defense and it basically looked like he was saying in a very condescending demeanor to them that they better not screw up. The words don't really matter. You could just see that his tone and gestures were not those of a supportive teammate. you either are or you aren't. it is mostly something that you are born with. it can be worked on, and I'll bet he has improved some in this regard. but he will never be able to turn himself into what josh allen was born as. -

Manning, Brady, and Rodgers all hit their ceiling in year 7--actually year 8 for Brady. -
What I have heard about Rex's defense is that you need a very cerebral leader on the field to make the calls and get everybody else set up. Ed Reed was that guy. and then Jim Leonhard was that guy. I've read that the jets used him on the field, past his physical expiration date, because his presence in making the calls was so important. and the jets defense was pretty decent under rex, iirc. apparently buffalo didn't have that guy. or maybe i read or heard something that is more fiction than fact.

there is a number that he is worth right now, and then there is a number he will be worth if he does this for a 2nd straight season. THey should try to get him for something like 35-40 tops. if he says no, see if he can do it again. if he does it again, you can go 45. if he doesn't want that, we were all fooled and he doesn't want to be here.

agree about the unsportsmanlike stuff at the end. though i was very okay with feliciano's penalty sticking up for josh when the refs blew an easy call. all of the stuff that came after that was a bit sad. -

KC was getting a ton of pressure without blitzing tonight. there just weren't any open men. -

people who are into coaching will rub shoulders with people who are into coaching and they will find their way in--if they are into teaching and leading. just as bienemy and all the other black coaches did. if you want in, you have to network. it doesn't just happen. there is no wand. -

ya this is it right here. old boys network stuff can be used very effectively by people who know what they are doing. if you're too incompetent to put the pieces together, you are going to fail whether you are hiring friends or otherwise. I think Caserio is likely a good hire for the texans, but if McNair won't get out of the way, it won't make a difference. -

success in life is largely about networking and connections. There are people who are good and bad at using that tool--on both ends of the equation. But I don't think you can eliminate it. And I'm not really sure you should. people who strive to get to certain places in life should be aware of this and be savvy enough to make those connections. It won't be real or lasting if it doesn't happen organically. -

how do you fight nepotism? how do you make a rule against it? -

you ask why is there a rooney rule, implying that the reason must be driven by logic. im not going to argue one way or the other. But not all decisions are based on logic and reasoning. -

optics/virtue signaling are very high on the list of why things are currently done. logic is sometimes the last thing that dictates cause and effect. -

It is said they had an agreement to wait until after this weekend to interview. 2 weeks off before SB would give a little cushion to focus on interviewing for a minute yeah. this is the big thing they are touting in the media. and it makes sense. wentz is a huge investment that has not gone well so far.
