So I’m guessing this is the NFL thread ? Nice drive by the Steelers. Washington is MASSIVE

I don’t own one single piece of Bills memorabilia except for some old football cards I bought at a convention in Vegas. I thought they would be worth a lot because they were super old. I got a Joe Cribbs, Joe Ferguson, and splurged on an OJ Simpson one (separate the art from the artist.) To your OP, I would go with the helmet all day long. Jerseys are everywhere. An authentic Bills helmet is a beautiful thing.

Gonna watch Pats vs Steelers Keep an eye on the Broncos vs Chargers as they are AFC contenders but it’s hard to watch 10 hours of football. Then I’ll be rooting for Daboll and Russell Wilson to pull some magic against the Chiefs.

Yes. He gives their offense so many new possibilities. These are the type of under the radar players that make a championship team. I hope he continues to get better and get more looks.

The Jets have been so terrible for so long that it’s actually depressing. They have 1 SB from 65 years ago and have been fluctuating from garbage to mediocre ever since.

Rousseau will find himself. Him and Oliver have always been streaky players. When he’s on point he’s dangerous. Plus his run defense is arguably better than his pass rushing because of those long arms. He is great at setting the edge. It would be really shortsighted to get rid of him.

I see Josh breaking not just Buffalo records, but NFL records seemingly on a weekly basis. To me the numbers speak for themselves. I want a cohesive offense that flows effortlessly as much as anybody, but it’s the NFL. The cohesiveness & consistency to me is right on the scoreboard. Oh, he’s going to be a problem. I love Knox, but this guy is the future. I can’t wait to see what does for the rest of the season. I see many big plays on the horizon.

I’m curious as to what you see that makes you think it isn’t structured ?

So much versatility on Bills offense. I would say we are up there with Detroit and the Rams as far as how they can beat you pretty much any way they want. A lot of that is because of Allen of course, but the offensive line is the engine of the entire thing. Both equally great run and pass blocking, pulling, short yardage, you name it. Beane did an incredible job building that unit up. We have put up 30+ points in 3 straight games against a great defense and a couple decent ones. We have 3 starting Tight Ends (Hawes is legit), a top 5 RB, and WRs with a wide array of different skill sets. If I could describe this offense in one word it would be “balanced.” It feels different from other years because of that reason. I mean they could run it the past couple of years, but it finally looks like they are going to peak this season and hit their fullest potential.

SOMEBODY from the AFCE has to step up, right ? I mean it really can’t be this easy every single year.

Week 3, Fish v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
TB also recovered the forced fumble by Oliver in the Ravens game. Iced the regular season game against the Chiefs last year. Forced the Mark Andrews fumble in the playoffs, a huge turning point in that game. And many more I can’t think of at the moment. He’s got that clutch gene you want in a defensive leader. -
I’ve been burned too many times. Let’s wait this one out and enjoy the regular season.

A note on the base nickel vs the 4/3
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very rarely can a defensive player win games all on their own. Taron Johnson pick 6 on Lamar Jackson remains one of the best Buffalo sports moments of all time. Going into the 4th quarter the Offense was sputtering and Baltimore on a long back breaking drive in the red zone about to tie the game up. Taron jumps the route and FLOORS it. Took a risk taking it out of the end zone, but delivered. 14 point swing just like that. What a moment. This was before the Bills were perennial playoff contenders too so the moment was even better because I wasn’t used to the success yet. -
A note on the base nickel vs the 4/3
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is a WILD statement. Taron Johnson is only one year removed from being a 2nd team All Pro. If you want to get on him about his recent injuries then fine I get that, but when healthy he is as good as any Nickel in the game. -
I understand and that’s a good point, but they didn’t assist the Ravens beforehand by calling timeouts for them in the red zone and giving them ample time to set everything up to score.

Clock management is hands down McDermott’s worst trait as a coach. Those time outs during the end of the half were ridiculous. Did they really think they were going to do much with 30 seconds and no time outs ? Even if that’s your goal then let Miami use THEIR time outs first. They executed that drive perfectly for the TD and left 11 seconds for us. The non-challenge on the bobbled Tyreek catch. If a normal fan can see it from their couch then there is no excuse for an NFL coach. Drive led to 7 points. Just mind boggling. I hope they learn from these mistakes because you can’t be pulling that crap in the playoffs.

I disagree. At least they made the kick off return a viable part of the game again which had been lacking since the days of Devin Hester. I just think teams need to come up with better strategies on kick off coverage. With teams starting at the 35 and how good kickers are, it only takes about 25-30 yards to get into FG range. If I am a returner I am downing it every chance I get. Kickers should start working with the punters more to work on ball placement and directional kicking which are now much more important. I actually think it’s exciting as kickers now need to develop whole new skill sets instead of just booming it into the end zone like they did in previous years.

Deone Walker Deflected the Ball on INT
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know Walker’s pressure caused the interception. I meant the tip itself really didn’t affect the ball that much as Tua was throwing it towards Bernard anyway.
