Deone Walker Deflected the Ball on INT
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it would’ve been an interception either way. Tua completely missed Bernard. Walker might’ve even made it harder to catch by tipping it -
“Replace James Cook with a Kenneth Walker type then this team becomes a 3-14 team.” “Replace Josh Allen with a Geno Smith or a Sam Darnold and we are suddenly a 7-9 team.” Yes, when you replace your STAR players with average journeymen your offense suffers. Truly groundbreaking stuff there… If Beane gets crap for his bad picks then he should get credit for the good ones. James Cook and Josh Allen are both top 5 at their respect positions. Without Beane, this franchise would be exactly where Miami is now. Edit: I also wanted to add… If Darnold ended up in Buffalo I am certain that his development would’ve been much better here. I’m sure he wishes he ended up here 😭

Yes. White had an up & down game, but look at the end result. 21 points allowed, 88 combined yards between Hill/Waddle. Those 3rd down conversions by Miami made me want to rip my hair out, but @Joe Marino made a good point. That type of production would probably win most if not all of the games this year. I keep reminding myself that it’s a divisional game against a team that knows us very well. Miami was staring down the barrel of 0-3. Since 1990, only 6 teams have went on to make the playoffs with that record. If Google is correct, the Dolphins have a 2.5% of getting in after their loss. The timing couldn’t be anymore perfect as their schedule gets drastically easier the next 4 weeks. Miami threw the kitchen sink at us and still couldn’t get it done. They were a cornered animal fighting for their playoff hopes. Those are the hardest teams to beat IMO -
AJE is good for 6-7 sacks a year as a rotational player. That is darn good production for someone who sees so little playing time. He is also solid against the run. AJ plays well against Miami and has rocked Tua multiple times. I can’t say enough how frustrating it is that he wasn’t being played especially when the Bills were getting torched on those 3rd and longs.

McDermott doesn’t play around. Doesn’t take much to land a player in the dog house. He was greatly missed on those 3rd and longs.

I stated in my OP that he is what is at this point which is solid depth. Hairston is the future, but White is the present. Hopefully, he will be up to speed come play off time. -

Agree 100%. Tre White knows how to play Tyreek Hill. They have been going against each other since his Kansas City days and were drafted within 1 year of one another. Sometimes you don’t match up speed against speed. -

I thought Tre White had a solid game. Made some key tackles and passes defended. Now that he’s completely over his injury it’s clear that he lost a step, but I think his experience & leadership will prove useful down the stretch. He is what he is at this point which is solid depth, but still a former All Pro that receivers must respect. -
I want to see Epenesa in there more often. Groot has been underwhelming so far. Having some fresh legs in there might make a big difference. Also don’t discount Ed Oliver’s absence and the impact on the guys around him.

The Patriots did this to us for 20 years
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t feel down. McDaniel is goofy, but he called a fantastic game. It’s the players who ultimately lost. I understand the roughing the kicker penalty and how hard it is to stop your entire body momentum, but the interception was inexcusable. McDaniel threw everything he had at us and put Miami in position to tie it up and possibly win if they went for 2. I actually gained some respect for their coach. -
