When is it time for QB under Josh’s wings?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to JROC INTEL's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is too much for me to even think about right now. I don’t even want to imagine a Bills team post-Allen. -
Well, we have the best pure scorer and weapon in the NFL who can win games solely on the strength of his own abilities so there’s no way we miss the playoffs. Losing the AFCE is always a possibility, but I am 1000% sure we squeak into a wild card spot at worst case scenario. Love or hate him, McDermott always fields an elite regular season defense. Bernard will be just as good as Milano IMO and Dorian Williams gained some valuable experience last year. The Bills have great players and solid vets on every level of the defense and no real glaring weaknesses on that side of the ball. Finally a stable CB1 in Douglas who can allow them to be more creative w/ the blitz. Receiver is always a concern until someone separates themselves as the clear cut #1. Whether that be Kincaid, Samuel, or Coleman remains to be seen, but one of them will have to step up. Buffalo has a strong running game as well as Allen’s playmaking to lean on until that happens. I am more confident than most and I think the WR issue is way overblown. The Chiefs are about equal to us in that area if not worse and no one is batting an eye.

Lets win the Super Bowl thought Exercise
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they swapped coaches today they would have to install a whole new offensive and defensive philosophy 3 weeks before the start of the season. The odds would actually decrease and I’m not sure why this isn’t an option on the poll? -
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this mostly because the fact Josh Allen has 15 rushing TDs? Usually they run it in one way or the other if they’re at the goal line. People always discount his rushing stats to prove their stupid narrative. He’s a dual threat QB. People don’t seem to do the same to Lamar 🤔

Just quit the season. That performance was pathetic
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hard to be inspired for a meaningless game where all you’re trying to is make it out without an injury which could potentially cost millions. They’re fun for watching backups battle for roster spots, but coaches (they’ll lie of course) don’t give a damn if they win or lose. Honestly, the most interesting thing about the games are watching Bass. -
P5t5man (Nathan Peterman) employed again - he is Raider again
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Peterman must have incriminating evidence against Goodell or something because this makes no sense. Good for him, but it’s baffling. Why not go with a promising late rounder/UDFA or young backup who hasn’t had a shot and try catching lightning in a bottle ? I don’t understand the NFL’s obsession w/ bringing back proven failures. Buffalo did the same thing w/ Mitch Trubisky. None of these guys are going to win their team more than a few games if QB1 goes down. I’d rather throw the water boy out there and see what he’s got -
JA’s favorite pass of his NFL career
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Crazy bc this is the pass I immediately thought of when I saw the title of this thread. Really shows Allen arm strength which is in a class by itself. My favorite play hands down. A very very close 2nd would be where Allen launched it to Robert Foster while being draped on by 2 defenders. Actually you can interchange either one of these plays because both are equally impressive Only QB where his arm and legs are equally lethal. -
Claypool - The Dream is Over...
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to ScottishBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nobody thought that. Some thought he was a boom or bust type player, but I don’t recall anyone proclaiming Claypool the second coming. -
Just quit the season. That performance was pathetic
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
The pre-season isn’t meant to appease the fans or even for them to win the game. How dumb would they look if Coleman gets lit up and injured for the season opener? The biggest goal is always to come out of the preseason unscathed, not to win. We have 17 regular season games plus the playoffs to watch Josh Allen throw bombs. -
Predict what positional groups are better/worse in 2024?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Back up QB = worse I agree. Tannehill would’ve been a great insurance policy. People say the season would be over anyways if the starting QB goes down, but it’s not always gonna be a season ending injury. If Josh were to go out 4 games or so, I guarentee he would go a respectable .500 in that event. We now know w/ Trubisky, the defense is going to have to play lights out and Cook will need to summon his inner Barry Sanders for the Bills to have a shot. I just don’t get why they brought him back. He went 2-5 w/ Pittsburgh and played horribly in the process. Either shell the money over to get a top backup QB or sign a high-ceiling developmental guy who can learn behind Allen. I never understood why some of the worst backups float around the NFL for so long (and this goes the same for coaches.) Why field a guaranteed bust when you could take your chance on catching lightning in a bottle by playing a rookie who showed a little bit of magic in college? -
Good Day Bad Day - Preseason week 1
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, but what if Josh is out only for a few games? Would be nice to win 1 or 2 of them instead of going 0-3. Trubisky is trash. I wish they would’ve got a developmental QB in the draft who they potentially could use as trade bait down the road. -
The most loathsome NFL players of all time

Jump scare -
Nah, he sucked. Relied wayyy too much on Josh pulling miracles plays out of his ass. Brady is a breath of fresh air because he knows how to run a balanced offense. I can’t even remember the last time Buffalo had a 1000 yard rusher. (Looked it up, Shady in 2017) The win streak at the end of the season to ***** the division title was a thing of beauty and they did it largely without their best skill player. I am excited to see what Brady does w/ a full off-season. The only con I can think of is Josh running the ball too much and taking hits, but I think it was a do or die mentality since the playoffs were still up in the air. I think Brady told Josh to pick up the 1st down by all means necessary. Edit: did they really bleep the word s-n-a-t-c-h ??? 🤣

Yardage Predictions for Bills Receivers in 2024
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nah Josh will definitely find the guy he trusts the most that will have over 1000. -
My point is Buffalo got some great years out of Diggs while aiding the development of Josh Allen. Gave up a late 1st and SHOULD get back an early 2nd. That is not bad at all. Not ideal that it was a 2025 pick, but it could’ve been much, much worse. Diggs is now on the wrong side of 30 and we had him during his prime years. Sucks that Buffalo didn’t get a ring out of it, but clearly from a production standpoint, the Bills got plenty of value out of him for what they gave up. If they hit on that 2nd rounder from the Texans (who they got from the Vikings) along w/ Diggs having a down year, this trade may look to be a steal

That kick to send the game into OT against Houston was pretty clutch -
I think it would look better w/ the current charging Buffalo edit: and a matching uniform

Tre White is doing "great" in Camp
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good. I hope he has a great year -
Off a cliff ? Diggs still had almost 1200 yards and 8 TDs. I get that most of it came in the first half of the season, but Buffalo switched coordinators. I am in the minority, but I think getting a 2nd for a player u got 4 years of stellar play from who u originally traded a late 1st rounder for is not bad. Better than letting him continue to whine and getting nothing for him when he hits FA.

I feel like people are sleeping on Ty Johnson. He has the advantage of knowing the playbook and has put up proven results in very limited action (37 touches, 10 first downs, 4.4 ypc, 9 yards per rec, 100% catch rate) People automatically assume rookie RBs are going to pan out, but it’s not automatically a given. I love Davis and especially love his upside as a pass catcher, I am just trying to be a realist. Ty Johnson is a bowling ball out there and I never noticed any drop off in production when on the field. He also has good hands. I am hoping one of these guys can develop into a legit multipurpose back. Most likely will be Davis, but I will definitely keep my eye out on this TC battle.
