  1. According to the googles it’s an abacus but I have my questions also. 😅
  2. The Hamlin situation could’ve sunk this team for good, and he’s steered the ship to once again tie season high franchise wins…McD would be more than deserving, imho.
  3. From your thumbs to the NFL’s New England comp picks committee!
  4. I’m somewhere in the Anchorman cologne percentage on this…
  5. Joe Marino on his pod yesterday pointed out that Allen’s INT % last year vs this year was (paraphrasing the specifics but this is close) 2.4% to 2.6%…his point was Josh statistically not materially worse in the category.
  6. Arguably with each additional game added to the regular season since the 14 they played, this accomplishment dims slightly—but yes, still worthy of recognition/respect.
  7. Per McAfee yesterday (Ian Rappaport segment), the NFL had a chip in the Cinci/Ravens game ball to determine how close it came to breaking the plane of the goal line right before the fumble, so why can't those same chips tell us when it was snapped relative to the play clock?
  8. This is old from 2012, but backs up the notion that there are other phases of time blocks more important that halftime during which adjustments can be made: Block Quote: Head Coach Greg Schiano stressed that such adjustments are a constant process from pregame through to the last play, and not the result of a rousing speech between third and fourth periods. Schiano has stated, on more than one occasion, that the concept of the magical halftime adjustment is, as he said Thursday, "overrated in a big, big way." In fact, his team might end up making more corrections on the fly during a long offensive drive than it would during a halftime trip to the locker room. "If you're a defensive player and you sit down on the bench and your offense goes out and has a 12 or 14-play drive, with clock stoppages and real time," he said, "it's a heck of a lot longer than what you have at halftime." https://www.buccaneers.com/news/in-game-adjustments-a-lot-more-than-a-halftime-speech-8038714
  9. Yep, basically double: https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/02/07/how-long-is-halftime-at-the-super-bowl
  10. FWIW, here's an article talking about the Comeback game and Marv's interaction with Frank at his locker as well as some other player convos--definitely not an X's and O's sort of thing... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32405466/how-buffalo-bills-pulled-greatest-comeback-nfl-history
  11. Just in case not already posted elsewhere: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/17/tickets-to-potential-afc-title-game-in-atlanta-go-on-sale-wednesday/
  12. From the Manningcast last night, on the myth of halftime adjustments being some kind of game changer potentially. I'm curious what others here would say to that, especially those who've played any kind of organized football? I was a bench rider in Division 3 football in college, and I remember a lot of hysterics from the staff (as we were usually losing big by half), as well as a few hastily drawn diagrams on the chalkboard, but nothing much more than that. Thoughts? Block Quote: During Monday night's "ManningCast" of the Buccaneers-Cowboys game, Manning explained why he didn't believe in halftime adjustments. "I don't know if I ever made a halftime adjustment in my entire 18-year career," Manning said, making a glib joke about the Buccaneers as they came out to start the second half trailing the Cowboys 18-0. "I think that's the biggest myth in football — the halftime adjustments. You go in, you use the restroom, you eat a couple of oranges, and then the head coach says, 'Alright, let's go!'" Peyton's brother Eli agreed with his assessment. "You're in there for like, three minutes," Eli said. "There's no time!" Peyton concluded. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/peyton-manning-says-halftime-adjustments-are-the-biggest-myth-in-football/ar-AA16rK5Y?cvid=8080cce8c7744203b05615803dbd2a56
  13. We have been blessed indeed with cartoon villains in the East for many decades—prolly deserving of its own thread! Hoodie ‘Emperor’ Belichick, Adam ‘Eyeballs’ Gase, our own tandem bike riding Ryans, etc., etc…😅
  14. Watching Bills games is either the best thing for my overall cardiac wellbeing, or the worst, considering the interval palpitations my heart endures along the way…landing this plane was a doozy!
  15. If we’d just gotten done beating Cinci or KC in a nail biter like this one, I think I’d be feeling much better about it; cruising at the beginning didn’t prepare me for what was to come against the “injury riddled” phins…that said, we move on and still have a chance to clean some things up.
  16. I mean, he’s not wrong, but sometimes you have to shoot the messenger, Sammy! 😂
  17. Happy to always talk more in DM with you; I know faith discussions like this that go into detail are generally frowned on otherwise. I don’t pretend to have all the answers but I’m always up for a tough in depth discussion on this topic. 👍🏻
  18. He doesn’t toy with us, He loves us more than we can imagine. All of us are just passing through. You’re free to believe anything you like when it comes to the hereafter, but even choosing to believe God doesn’t exist is a belief that requires faith. My only follow up question for you would be what if you’re wrong?
  19. Yes please to Pep Hamilton!!! Just fresh off a thrilling Texans campaign where he ruined Mills’ shot, so sure, this checks out in Jersey 🤓.
  20. As much as I would love Adams here, Josh doesn’t play defense, and I am more convinced Josh can (and does) elevate the play of those around him on O. The D on the other hand, needs all the help it can get from commodities on the come up.
  21. Pre-Purdy mania! 🤷🏼‍♂️
  22. Totally not sure, but I’m envisioning the holder having it in his left hand and placing it simultaneously while positioning the ball just before the kicker makes contact—but too lazy to pull the game footage and see for myself 😎🤷🏼‍♂️…
