At one point I would have been a cheerleader for bringing CK in, but I’ve had to take a step back to consider that he’s making it crystal clear he needs more mental and substance abuse help than an NFL franchise can give him while he’s supposed to also be holding onto a roster spot. Hate it for the kid and his family, had a lot of potential that is quickly slipping through the hourglass.

...said everyone including me since he turned 36. Somehow he always seems to find another gear/level late in the year to take it over the top--I really really hope it's true so that the curse can finally be lifted on the AFC East, but part of me also wants the Bills to beat him up good consistently while he's still on top of his game sort of, so that it means more--but the other part of me just wants him to be gone, no matter under what terms. The scourge of our franchise who's won more games on our home field that all of our QB's during the drought years, unreal.

Bills Sign WR Deonte Thompson to a 1-Year Deal
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe McBeane brought him back after it was pointed out that he was the last Bill with 100 yds receiving in a game before Robert Foster this week? Now we can light some real dynamite vertically with both on the field at the same time stretching that D coverage unit? -
The Patriots Have Signed Ramon Humber

Does this mean we are awash in so much defensive talent that even the Patriots jump at the chance to pick up our scrap heap? I’ll go with that -
The next 6 games... I expect
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll take consistent measurable improvement from JA the rest of the way, 2-3 more wins, and a gelling WR corps thanks to the speed infusions of Foster and McKenzie, with D continuing its dominant run, please! -

You're being way too negative! Josh Allen will be tossing the rock for at least 350yds/gm, averaging 3 scores, and much like Roethlisberger in 2004, we will wind up in the AFC Championship game. Except this time we beat New England while sacking Brady 7 times, the last time knocking him out the game thanks to a helmet-first pile driver by Hughes where Jerry doesn't lose his temper after the official flags the hit as unsportsmanlike conduct. In other news, I'm also putting all of you on notice that I'm winning the Mega Millions lottery tonight, and my posts after tomorrow will all be from Fiji. -

Most Famous Bills Fan you ever met
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never met "Steeler Killer" but always seemed like a good guy (from a fan's perspective). Also had a poignant moment in the "Four Falls of Buffalo" biopic, where he talked about (I'm seriously paraphrasing here off of memory) winning a SB with Green Bay in '96 after leaving Buffalo, and how Favre handed him the ball at the end and tells him this is for him, he deserves it--but that at that moment all he could think about was how special that moment would have been in a Bills uniform instead--anyway, always liked him, thanks for sharing. -
WTF with the “feel bad for Peterman” posts?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think what the OP doesn’t understand is that the reason a lot of us feel bad for the guy is that he’s been the subject of such crazy over the top vitriol from “fans” taking things to an extreme, that this is an opposite completely natural reaction to have, otherwise known as human empathy. -
He’ll be ok. All sides needed a fresh start, and even though he can’t catch a break on the field, he’s got a good head on his shoulders and will be stronger for all of the adversity he’s come through, at least I hope for his sake.

Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I qualified it by saying “in their right mind,” but yes, a good backup is always the most popular player around town. -
If the Pats have a 1st rd bye with home field locked up and sit a bunch of starters...the key would be not repeating 2004 when all the Bills had left to do was win against a Steelers squad resting a bunch of starters, and Bledsoe not being able to pull that off unfortunately.

The fact they are pulling this off with the kind of albatross they’ve been dragging around with them all year in the way of a terrible O, minus some exceptions like today, is even more amazing. I haven’t looked it up, but I’m guessing the total number of minutes played has to be up there too, since the number of 3 and outs by the O before today constantly would put added pressure on them...definitely speaks to coaching and not having a loser locker room mentality creeping in, luckily.

Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was waiting for this thread...the answer is, one decent start does not a QB controversy make (at least it shouldn’t). JA is the future. We need to see what we’ve got, so we can plan accordingly. Also, Frank Reich was a backup beast back in the day, a consistent winner off the bench, but no one in their right mind would’ve said sit JK when healthy. Reason being, the physical skill set was widely different and the Bills knew Kelly’s arm was the more dangerous, consistent weapon all in all. -
It’s definitely a comforting thought that not everyone in the supporting cast on O are a bunch of fruit stand proprietors dressed up as NFL starters—the less we have to turnover or plug through the draft/FA’s, the more we can focus on signing for depth, which is critical to future sustained success IMHO.

How about Matt Barkley huh?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tip of the cap to Barkley. Who needs training camp/preseason or even a solid week of playbook study to get ready for an NFL game?? This is our newest version of Fitz magic! Sparkley Barkley for permanent pinch hitter off the bench!! -
QB Position: Do they know what they are doing?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Part of the issue with DA is his diminished physical skill set—more specifically, his inability to move around in the pocket when pressure comes, which it did early and often when he played. Not his fault, just a symptom of his age and nothing to do with his arm. But a statue taking blunt hits will chip away at performance (even TB12 showed this today) and DA is no exception to the rule. Barkley can still move around back there and I think that was the difference, IMO. Oh, and a strong ground game for a change also helped! -
Jets defensive gameplan for bills...

@Rebel101I hope you enjoyed watching a Bills QB put up some numbers at MetLife today! Glad it worked out the way it did. How did the Jets fans treat you there? Go Bills!!! -

Four Different Starting QBs in One Season
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s unfortunate that you were able largely to put together a cohesive argument for your position until you had to pull the “faith” card at the end. At least you tried to qualify it with the cover that this is your “speculation,” as you have nothing factual with which to back that up. My “speculation” is that if we had a future HOFer starting at QB for McD, like Rodgers or Brees who also happen to believe differently than you do, that would be the last thing you bring up right? This is a business. McBeane make roster decisions that you may not like, but don’t kid yourself that a player’s personal beliefs play a role in that. -
If Barkley can move his legs a little more like Peterman in the pocket, but anticipate/throw like DA, then we might have ourselves an actual backup QB worthy performance tomorrow that includes <gasp> a 2 TD total or more. I feel like that’s not asking too much against the Jets who face similar issues as a team as the Bills. But given the mirror image of DA’s first start with 6 practices give or take coming in, maybe I need to slow my roll. Sucks, I was holding out hope JA would be ready to go but probably for the best long term.

Doubtful. With the health records of the starters thus far, we may need to be carrying 3 on active roster and 1 on the PS just to make it through the rest of the year, and I’m only partially kidding
