  1. To put this loop on repeat, this year is all about his development and seeing consistent signs of improvement along the way. You have to have an agenda to objectively not see that especially since his return from the elbow injury, the signs for such consistent improvement are there. Whether that is going through reads, pocket awareness, leadership, touch passes, all of the above, I'm greatly encouraged, regardless of the scoreboard result. Sure he won't be perfect or without some head-scratchers along the way, but the wins will follow naturally. The bottom line is, this kid is a gamer with a hunger to succeed, and is dragging the rest of the O along for the ride right now. How can you be mad at the fact he gave this team a chance to pull out the W all the way to the final play? Go Bills!!!!!
  2. Does he take the same elixir as Alex Guerrero mixes up for TB12? If not, it's over
  3. There simply are no words.
  4. Considering that these are rookies with a necessarily small sample size, isn’t that by definition all we can do? As well as identifying patterns limited to 2/3 of a season?
  5. Not to be cute, but what does your analysis tell you about the worth, or lack of it, of the supporting O cast’s talent level, and how do you propose to account for it in your comparison models of the other QB’s you’ve referenced? Put another way, do you believe that any of the other rookies would be putting up better numbers if they had a current Bills jersey on? For me the physical tools that JA has been blessed with provide the highest upside of any of them if properly harnessed, channeled and developed. Nothing that’s happened since he’s come back from the elbow leads me to believe that can’t or won’t happen. Fair enough?
  6. Oh boy, JA may have to rush for 200 this week just to get safely away from his "pocket."
  7. This is a real thread?
  8. Shades of Kelly to Ronnie Harmon 1989, the pass doinked right off his forearm in the end zone, playoffs against the Browns/Bernie Kosar (yes, Cleveland used to be good too). Catch it, Bills win, he didn’t, so long trek back home with what could’ve/should’ve been. However, after that year, the SB run started and Kelly became Kelly—while I know this is not the same setting in terms of playoffs, I have confidence Allen will build off of this and become a better QB over time this year and beyond.
  9. All he can do is give his teammates the ability to make a play on the ball when he rockets it loose—he did that, and we should be talking about an awesome win at the end. To say nothing of what he did with his legs again too. He’s definitely a baller, and I’m feeling more confident by the week that the Bills didn’t miss on this kid.
  10. Understood; but he’s doing things practice wise that show he’s not exactly incapacitated. But he definitely took a pounding while playing
  11. This def strikes me as an odd situation; is this out of the ordinary in terms of length of time in the protocol? I understand every case is different but he has been back out on the practice field throwing the ball
  12. Time to start a new streak with JA at the helm!! It’s pretty cool to actually look forward to game days now instead of dreading them during that 4-5 week super bad run this year. Go Bills!!!!
  13. This just makes me like the kid even more for some reason—maybe because it gives off a ‘man of the people’ vibe? No caviar from 1st class cabin for this farm boy! ?
  14. Elway for what it’s worth was similarly ineffective that day to the Bills’ D credit—he and Kelly basically mirrored each other’s stats. I’d forgotten Kubiak played at all, and led all qbs with 136 yds that day! lol. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199201120buf.htm
  15. Hunts entourage made claims that’s how it went down in terms of her using the n word, but that’s a he said she said, and believe what ever you want about what I’m about to say, but my worst moments in my life have never involved striking a female. My point is simply that there are some things you never do, and unless it’s a matter of life and death (she pulled a gun or knife on him) which this was not, it’s never ok to do what he did, period. I get you want to dress it up in the cloak of the nfl’s conduct policy and whatever suspensions come with that and that should be the end of it, but I have no respect for him and the fact that you have spent so much of your time defending Hunt’s indefensible conduct against a 19 yr old woman, means it’s pointless to try to convince you of just how untenable him coming to Buffalo should be. I’m done with this.
  16. I do remember that—was def a defensive struggle, I think our home field was critical to the outcome—although the Bills also did plenty of playoff damage on the road during those days. The 92 AFC championship comes to mind in Miami, as well as the divisional round against Pittsburgh the week before.
  17. Add Elway to the mix of HOF QB’s never able to get directly past the Bills in the playoffs while Kelly held the reins—but of course he got his after JK retired.
  18. “THIS WAS NOT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE” Ummm ok OP, because assault and battery on a stranger female/19 yr old hookup option for an NFL star IS SO MUCH BETTER. Seriously dude, get a grip—all you have to do is tap into your moral compass to hopefully realize we shouldn’t want anything to do with this, ever. There are things that as a matter of principle transcend sports/rooting for a team, and at least for me this is one of them. Just imagine this happened to your mom, daughter, sister, GF, whoever—would you still be so inclined to root for him?
  19. If anyone needs a breather from this joyless topic, check out the Robert Foster thread next door—highly recommended and should restore some seasonal cheer!!
  20. Ok, I needed that after all of the Hunt steaming pile over in that thread—restores my hope that all is not lost in this league yet. Awesome gesture, RF gets it. Go Bills!!!!!
  21. The problem for the NFL from a PR standpoint is that it’s apparently so easy to expose the league’s hypocrisy on this issue, that a run of the mill sleazy tabloid like TMZ can make a cottage industry out of it.
  22. lol, yes, most of my relatives up in the rural north of western PA have little conception of what traffic/drive times are in metro A; my poor mother had to basically close her eyes when I picked the folks up from Hartsfield the first time and they couldn’t get over how many lanes there were on 85 ?
  23. So sad that Harvey Levin used to be the color commentary on the old People’s Court with Judge Wapner—you may or may not be too young to remember that one, but I grew up loving that show.
