  1. Also bet a work buddy of mine who’s a big Packer fan, a cool six pack on this game, no points, straight up. But before you ask, no I don’t have a receipt to prove it.
  2. Well last Sunday it was stay out of wifey’s way (sort of) while she had a baby, and the Bills won unbelievably—so this week...stay out of wifey’s way again?
  3. Way ahead of you. I just tried their switchboard this morning, and unfortunately this is as far as I got: “How may I direct your call? Oh, I thought you might be 1982 calling to provide us with some DNA evidence. So sorry, but our agents are currently busy watching back to the future. Try again next week!”
  4. It’s “anchor—man” not “anchor—lady,” and that’s a scientific fact!
  5. And if he develops his overall effort, hands and attitude?
  6. Obviously he is 1st ballot if they create a career backup category given how many times he’s assumed the starter role off the bench; Reich would also then be in there for the Houston comeback game alone, plus became a starter in Carolina after Buffalo
  7. I can attest to there not being a true fall season down here—definitely no break from the heat in September, and will probably still be a couple weeks before sweatshirt is called for. The longer I’m down here the more I’ve missed the snow too, esp. around the holidays
  8. Drop by Ray Ray, but luckily Clay Matthews flagged for roughing the passer
  9. And I’m sure the Gulfstream came in at a bargain since it’s still garaged in Cleveland...
  10. Lol, thanks for posting—it caught me at a moment of weakness, went ahead and got my XXL white one in honor of last week.
  11. I remembered the same thing and dug this up that I read the other day, think this was it: http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/32272/bills-pull-defensive-u-turn-but-dont-point-to-vontae-davis-exit
  12. Seeing as how we are going up against NFL royalty in Rodgers, the ? will no doubt do everything in their power to defuse our pass rush strength and flag us left and right for breathing in his general direction. Over/under for roughing the passer flags against Jerry?
  13. Uhh...I thought Conor McGregor was gonna get suspended for busting out some windows, this is totally unfair!
  14. I’ve always liked Vic, has earned the benefit of the doubt I hope
  15. Kind of like all the threads discussing how bad the Bills absolutely would lose to Minnie last week... But the dude is 41 years old. I think the point was that eventually despite all the “voodoo that he do” he would run out of fountain of youth espressos. Hope that he doesn’t know when to hang it up gracefully and I get to see some real stinkers from him, to slightly soothe all of the pain he’s brought our franchise, which is almost impossible. I know that comes off sounding petty, but hey, haven’t we earned that right by this point?
  16. Bills went down that road with the one year rental Terrell Owens, and that was before the pushups in his driveway or flexing in a home gym next to the Koi pond with choppers buzzing overhead like it was the OJ slow roll (ok, the koi pond is taking some dramatic liberties) but he was already a head case himself before the Russ Brandon/Jauronimo (love that moniker on this board) regime brought him in for 2009. Anyone remember that year? Jauronimo was mercifully axed halfway through and Fewell started his forgettable run. TO was still able to put up decent numbers for what he was at that point in his career though. 17. A 17-year drought is just what the Dr. ordered. Hope that Brady/Belichick are around long enough to taste some of it.
  18. Have to admit I jumped full tilt on the bandwagon of goodbye Leslie after the LAC debacle and McD's taking over the playcall sheet, but am pleasantly surprised by how our DC responded and put his best foot forward--the players including Hughes obviously also responded by dramatically upping their game with the backs to the wall. I think that a team can smell right away if character/grit from the top down is real or fake (a/k/a The Ryan Bros. Express), and plays accordingly over the course of a long season. Kudos to the coaching staff then.
  19. I've pretty much hyped it every time they fall flat in September one or 2 times since at least 2012, so I fully get it. A lot of national guys say just wait until Edelman comes back and takes the doubles off of Gronk--but Brady just looks 41 years old heaving the ball anywhere close to deep so far this year--I feel like that's a difference in the eyeball test from previous years. They've always killed in the short passing attack though, so who knows if it will even matter.
  20. No matter how many deep tissue massages, Terminator cryogenic freezing routines or no-name TB12 endorsed vitamin supplements from his Guerrero guru that Brady gets, at some point Father Time will come calling for him too, "Faust" type devil deals notwithstanding. The Patsies have outlived their dynasty's 9 lives--I have a feeling the end is close, and all is no longer well in that locker room. Or is it just me hoping for too much?
  21. The other factoid of useless trivia associated with the QB greats of that era (I will also include Montana even though he was already in the league before '83) that I find interesting as I'm from there originally, is that most of them came up in the steel mill geography of western PA--nicknamed the Cradle of Quarterbacks because it literally churned out so many good ones--Marino, Kelly, Montana, Hostetler, and before that, Unitas, Namath, just to name a few...good article about that here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1994-01-30-9401300392-story.html
  22. Random add on—one of my proudest fan moments coming up was being able to memorize/recite each players name from the team photo in 1993–back then players actually were proud to play most of their careers with only one team (or so I’d like to believe)—anyway, the guy I always thought had the coolest name on that roster was LB Marvcus Patton—dude could play some pretty good ball to boot.
  23. Why would you not just keep feeding him the rock? Can’t stop him and eat clock too; oh wait never mind, Woods just takes it in...
