  1. Because we needed a pair of eyebrows on our staff like Bobby has--can you imagine the sheer amount of glower this guy could put in his stares to make a rookie quake in his boots if a blocking assignment gets missed?
  2. Didn’t see too many coaches on there either
  3. I was about to say I’m not sure I buy that this hire actually happened unless it comes from Yolo?
  4. Even the boo on everything panthers crowd has to agree that this hire is an upgrade over Danny.
  5. Oh great, let’s pull this tired take out of the archives shall we? Give it a rest please, and let’s talk football ?.
  6. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy ??
  7. Thanks for doing such a deep dive, clearly there was a lot of time/effort invested here OP, appreciate it!
  8. Imagine where we could go if we kept up the top D and added offensive firepower? Wouldn’t we be right there then with the league’s elite? Let Vegas quake in its boots!
  9. That seems appropriate for the occasion
  10. I’m not so sure the fans on this board anyway would be ok with only incremental progress—most comments for the thread that asked this very question expect significant steps forward this coming season:
  11. They say iron sharpens iron, but in our case it's been Thor's hammer versus an anvil of cardboard since Brady became the starter. You got anything pricier than Dom we can save up for?
  12. I hear good things have been happening though from a revitalization standpoint--I hope that's the case!
  13. Thanks Hap, great post! Showing why both sides have merit in this discussion. This is even in the running for "of the day" consideration--I'll let you know how it turns out!
  14. Yeah man! I got your Christmas package too, so thoughtful! We wish.
  15. Gugs, were you falling asleep ? at the keyboard? ?
  16. Not sure how you extrapolated that? My wife and kids usually keep me in an upbeat mood, so no, can’t say I’m all that miserable at last check. How do you manage to stay cheerful?
  17. Sadly probably not for most Millennials on this topic
  18. ^^^^^This. Post of the day @Augie ? Definitely I am more intrigued by our hiring prospects of those coaches still in the playoffs versus the also-ran squads, so I’m good still with the timing.
  19. Maybe I was reading too much Sully analysis of MW’s lack of mental fortitude back in those days? And you’re right, I’d forgotten his first couple years he put up very solid #s, but how he left with awful effort his last few here, discount against the value of his overall historically high K, and the fact that he didn’t help get us over the drought hump, all combine to make him as forgettable as anybody else we’ve left behind in previous drought regimes, fair or not that may be. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/after-further-review-heres-the-proof-that-mario-williams-quit-on-the-bills/amp/ Nah Augie, you hold that line! Was not a bad example, imho.
  20. Mario Williams deserves his entire own thread in this discussion, but I’d be curious what the consensus is concerning his production versus contract value over time. I don’t recall being impressed, sorry ?
  21. I’m guessing untenable long term cap squeezes, a la Doug Whaley management style?
  22. Fans like us, just with a bit more credibility:) but nonetheless thanks for clarifying
  23. A lot of valid points teef. However, I really don’t understand what it means to “move on from the Super Bowl days.” As a Bills fan I’ll always be proud of that era and its players. How is that a negative? Again, I’m not saying use the same playbook. I am saying I expect my franchise to show me they are trying to get back to our earlier glory and then some. That should be the standard.
