  1. At least the 2 of them were able to become good friends later in life--especially during his cancer battles, Jim's had Marino there to help support him. Kudos to Marino for that! https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/yahoo-sports-minute/dan-marino-visits-jim-kelly-in-hospital--shares-powerful-moment-with-former-rival-040925320.html
  2. Well, in the absence of being told that I can’t by our overlords, I’ve delegated such authority to myself. You’re welcome!
  3. For the longest time as a kid, I thought clouds were made by airplanes...hey, it made perfect sense at the time seeing the jet contrails
  4. Post of the day @whatdrought! Time to turn our attention back to the defense methinks.
  5. I'd like to think after a long season, he needed to just get away and decompress from the Bills for awhile
  6. If true, I hope that he rots and gets a few sock parties along the way in the big house. Absolutely one of the worst types of crimes anyone could commit against another human being.
  7. I've actually been wondering this for the last couple weeks also--but didn't want to say anything in case it was already known and not good for some reason? @YoloinOhio has basically had almost no competition with getting quality breaking news out to us since the AWOL started!
  8. Oh no, I was trying to keep things civil...oh well Kirk > Picard. http://whatculture.com/tv/star-trek-10-reasons-kirk-better-picard
  9. And a Bengals fan would still love to swap out...how bad is that??
  10. Great call on Tim Tindale...had an out of nowhere type statement game that day...I was remiss to not mention him. Also, there was a great line by the announcing crew after one of the Thurman bursts, that he was just "stealing" yards from the Dolphins untouched. Little did we know what was to come...
  11. An age old question (well, since the late 70's at least), and am curious what you all think? Feel free to add favorite movies/episodes in your comments also.
  12. Talk about paying your dues as a fanbase. I wonder if there would be any New England fans left if they had a run like that post-Brady?
  13. Meant only in the absolute loosest sense of the word, and with only winners possible...participation trophies all around bro!
  14. Following a friendly “debate” with @ShadyBillsFan as to best playoff wins in the Bills dominant run, it got me to thinking about our last playoff win, period—and fittingly it was another dagger in the Fins & the legendary Danny Marino on 12/30/1995, who the Bills owned back in the day. Of note is the dominant Bills Oline that day, and a monster game from Steve Tasker, as a converted wide receiver (who also held for Christie). Surprisingly, our playoff win drought is not the longest in the league, as that dubious honor goes to the Lions and the Bengals, who last won a playoff game in 1991 and 1990, respectively. Also, Cleveland hasn’t won one since 1994, but because of the years where they had no franchise left they get a statistical break, and Buffalo is still counted as 3rd longest active drought: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_franchise_post-season_droughts Regardless, it is insane that it’s been so long since we long-suffering Bills fans have had a playoff W to celebrate. The clip below is a fun way to burn your lunch break. Enjoy:
  15. As fans of the Bills, I would respectfully opine that it is our solemn right, nay, our duty, to dump on anything Patriots related whatsoever.
  16. This is why we keep you around @Augie--keepin' it real!
  17. I like it. Continuity on an overachieving bunch this year!
  18. Great stat. I also believe that is the worst playoff loss in Raiders history still. I checked and they've had 2 regular season losses by margins of 55-0 and 52-0, I think those are the only worse games.
  19. Happy Belated birthday Gugs. What a couple of days--celebrated your 20K post plus a birthday...what's next?? Pats another Lombardi trophy?
  20. I truly enjoy debating the merits of which Bills playoff victories were most embarrassing for the oppo . I pretty much can't and won't fault your take here either. Ah, the off-season. Time to hop in the way-back machine...
  21. Ironically, to add insult to injury, the very next season in 1993, the Bills beat the Oilers yet again, in an embarrassment of a game 35-7 for them. So inside of 2 years, they lost in the most excruciating fashion ever, following that up with a blowout loss in the first rematch opportunity. Oh, and the first playoff game victory Kelly ever had was also against Houston, in 1988. Must've sucked for them!
  22. I will never be able to see enough wins against the Giants, 'Skins & Cowboys, regardless of whether or not they are "rivals" in the sense that it's an always competitive game or not.
  23. Would he be willing to come here on a prove it heavily incentive laden team friendly type deal? Besides "the hit" and bad blood built up over time for that dude, the main issue is actually his injury history/availability and recent performance--I'm more interested in building solidly for the future in developing young quality talent, than grabbing a player who has past glory but comes here to be put out to pasture with no real long term future prospects left (see, e.g., Bledsoe, Merriman [love to pick on that guy], Langston Walker). All that said, although I'm a no right now, I could still probably be convinced that he could have a decent game or two left in him for at least the Pats games, to stick it to Hoodie, that alone would be nice.
  24. Wait, first I don't think we're quite finished with the "fire everyone for not picking Mahomes" threads yet?
