  1. I can definitely appreciate where you're coming from with that...and I am now much more aware of Skinner, Eichel et al than ever before which is fine too
  2. With all due respect, wasn't it to be expected that there would be some flak incoming for posting about the Pats during game week, with the motto of letting them get even more Lombardi's than they already have?? C'mon man, I think this was a poking the bear type posting that paid off beautifully--it's definitely a piping hot thread!
  3. I guess it's different for us out of town fans who aren't from Buffalo originally, but again, I do get the "why" part of it.
  4. Not complaining, but this morning was the same thing--on my 30 minutes in the car ride in, it was 5 minutes of Bills with Murph, and the rest was all hockey. Hey, great for the Sabs having a kicka** year for a change! I want to hear about the Bills on a Monday after a game like this...but I get it, it's a lot of airtime to fill talking about only 2 pro teams all the time basically, with a little UB/'Cuse sauce thrown in to keep it balanced
  5. That fact of nobody having brought up Rosen as the better pick in some time is noteworthy in and of itself though, right? Wasn't he the most "pro-ready" of the entire class? Shows just how much any of us could get up there and spout hot air before the draft also, and have just as much chance of being right, as the gifted analysts who are paid handsomely to do so...
  6. Whose side are you on?? Part of being a fan is holding out hope for fairy tale endings! One that is at least in the realm of possibility this time around! ? The same lowly Lions who already dispatched the Pats...got it! I'll take the time to throw however I can get it, right?
  7. Ummm...they’ve hoisted the Lombardi aplenty—to the point where the last thing I’m worried about is bowing down to their egos yet again in the hopes that after this last time, it’s really over. Did anyone care outside of Bills fans, to let the Bills have just one more run at this time getting the ring, because they’d earned it through marching through the NFL the 4 years previous? If the Pats fall flat this time around, I’ll be cheering loudly as I hope everyone else around here will too—they’ve cost me enough angst the last 2 decades to last a lifetime. Of course I can appreciate football greatness, but doesn’t mean I have to like it or ask for more...especially at my team’s expense 2x per year
  8. It’s a little different when you are developing what is hopefully already your franchise bedrock QB for the next 10+ years, that you just selected #7 overall in 1st round, no?
  9. I don’t care about draft position right now. I do care about establishing a winning culture, JA’s confidence (and by extension, that of his young wideouts), and momentum to flash for potential established FA’s so maybe the overpayments aren’t as bad. For the draft, it’s a highly speculative science even in the best of slots (just ask the Brownies over the past decade until finally hitting the lotto this year) and I have a feeling we won’t stay pat wherever we end up regardless. Too many unknowns right now to worry about. Just win baby!!
  10. Said everyone before Vikes game this year, and for all of the 5 teams who’ve beaten NE so far this year (inc. the Steelers fresh off a loss to the <gulp> dumpster fire Raiders)...
  11. The time that Allen had on the deep TD to Foster to let that route develop first is what struck me this week, as opposed to the bomb against the Jags where we all wondered how on earth that happened with 3 guys collapsing the pocket on him in no time flat...progress by the line!
  12. Well, at least you didn’t name your avatar in frustration after Buffalo picked the “wrong” josh, so there’s that ?. Welcome to the right- right Josh fan club!
  13. Those sorts of trend lines tend to merge well I would argue...I’m more than cautiously optimistic that we are discovering our franchise QB growing up before our eyes under extremely difficult conditions, to pay dividends quickly.
  14. No, definitely not that. It’s a team finding itself on the fly while weathering the storm that has been this season...in other words, it’s the process of building a culture from the ground up. Yes, definitely proudly encouraging!
  15. Meanwhile in other news, the “right Josh” tossed yet another multiple pick game to go with 130 yds in losing to a bad Atlanta defense...but who’s counting?
  16. Oh there’s lots of stuff you probably shouldn’t do lol, but 10-15 secs to get the cheese going doesn’t do the mayo any harm in my experience...like I said, this is not about anything normal with sandwiches ?
  17. slow ????...this guy (or gal) gets it! Every vehicle looks better dressed to the 9’s in Buffalo regalia. Probably did it for the resale value ?
  18. Thousand island brushed on some baked tilapia, broiled to a nice crisp??
  19. I guess part of the question would have to be, if you did a personal challenge of whether or not you could go without for a period of multiple days/weeks (Peter King always talks about doing a sober October for instance) without a drink? How bad would you crave one? Could you even do it? I like what someone else already wrote, does it interfere with (and that should be someone else telling you whether or not it does) the rest of your life in any way? Difficult subject
  20. The first one sounds off, even by my out there standards, but I’m not judging. #2 sounds great! Chips in sandwiches period is a can’t miss, esp. Doritos
  21. Have you ever been made fun of for a sandwich you’ve created because the ingredient combinations don’t make sense at first glance? I’ve got several, which is why I ask...butter, peanut butter and honey was my first creation as a youngster, and I graduated to mayo, cheese & salsa (nuke it to melt the cheese, yum!!). There are more, but I want to hear from you! Needless to say my wife who is very anti-normal sandwiches, is constantly amazed at my creations, and not in a good way. I say don’t knock it till you’ve tried it ?
  22. Considering he could’ve/should’ve been terminated, it qualifies as a slap, sorry, just my 2 cents...also, his proportion of a fine would rightfully be higher than for Hughes, given Hughes was simply reacting to something Ellison started in the 1st place.
  23. It’s crazy how easily the Bills handled the Skins on Monday night in 93 (around halloween) with Rypien looking like a JV starter—anyone remember that game? I had a friend of mine tape the game on VHS and must’ve watched it like 50 times, until the tape wore out. The Bills produced something crazy in the 1st quarter alone, like 200 yds of offense and 2-3 tds before the Skins knew what hit them...a great game for all the right reasons!! And of course the Bills beat those same cowboys in Dallas, early season 93 after SB XXVII, 13-10, go figure
  24. That’s part of the reason why it’s hard to take their statements seriously. Kind of like partisan politics where the other side is always in the wrong even if they say the sky is blue. In order to be credible, they should own egregiousness where “called” for, no pun intended. I get it though, carry on.
  25. The NFLRA is a joke and makes itself just look silly by trying to argue this slap on the wrist was excessive somehow ??‍♂️
