  1. I love that he just fricking makes plays. instead of curling up in a shell and playing scared not to throw another pick
  2. This is what happens when you can’t get your way on ability alone, dirty punk. He couldn’t bear Josh showing him up yet again.
  3. Well, at least you already knew what was coming in terms of disagreement. I’d respectfully point out the number of years during the drought where even semi competent QB play for us (over the course of a whole season) would have catapulted us into relevance/playoffs? Bills are Exhibit A as to why a great QB is always worth it...
  4. The whole Rooney Rule thing helps...he will probably get interviews every year regardless of the seriousness of the teams involved or not.
  5. I think it's the exact opposite--if you were on the fence, this would make it that much more likely given some history of sorts will be made there, no?
  6. Streamed some of the show with his segment, and he had plenty of good things to say about the Bills' overall trajectory (unlike the Fish), and said he absolutely loves Josh Allen and thinks he's the real deal for the Bills. Hope so! He did the call for the Chargers game earlier this year, and is looking forward to see JA's improvement up close this week.
  7. While not a splash re-signing, having Anderson available to hold a clipboard and be a veteran mentor voice in the QB room as a #3 for cheap $$ also wouldn't be terrible, IMO.
  8. So before this thread goes bye bye until next year @ Christmas perhaps--wanted to leave you all with one other one that I just saw for the first time this week although it's been out since 2004--"Christmas With The Kranks" starring Tim Allen and Dan Akyroyd; a definite crowd pleaser. Conversely, Merry Friggin' Christmas was very very meh. Also, per the recommendation of @CommonCents, The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix was surprisingly good! I didn't expect Kurt Russell to be as good as he was as Santa, and the dialogue for him was quite clever/funny I thought. Anyway, thanks to all who posted their favs. Happy New Year!
  9. ^^^^This. It just does. Draft schmaft. The day you can 100% guarantee a hit on a draft pick versus a miss, is the day we can re-visit this thread.
  10. Put yourself mentally in the position of whichever fan base were to be stuck with him as their new HC...can you imagine the message boards blowing up in enthusiastic anticipation of what's to come? Hardly. You know they would be freaking out over what such outsiders know of the Bills this year, in a bad way. He still needs to actually prove he has what it takes at this level, and for too many times this year, talent/injuries notwithstanding, he simply couldn't get it done for whatever reason. That said, he's been on an upwards trajectory since Josh came back, and I think that he therefore does deserve to come back next year and prove he was better than appearances all along. But to jump from this year to a HC job? Bloody unlikely, IMHO.
  11. Glad to see Kyle getting to go out on his own terms, rather than by injury or the team, etc. He's definitely earned that right, and am very appreciative of the everyday effort he gave even while toiling for many forgetful front offices/coaches the Bills had during his 13+ year run. Also am glad he got to experience breaking the drought last year, helped in no small part by the TD he himself scored against the Fish...good player, even better person. Here's to you Kyle! Now go out there and say goodbye by pulverizing Miami one more time please! Go Bills!!!
  12. The soggy chicken looks like it’s been warming for a bit too long maybe? ? no way this is Star’s buffet of choice
  13. Even if you're right about the 4.5 extra savings, I've never heard of Clay refusing to run routes for his QB during pre-game warmups---if nothing else, KB needed to be excised for more reasons than just $$, and frankly the Bills didn't do it soon enough, IMHO. Clay won't last either, but I doubt he is a locker room cancer, and at least says all the right things in public (such as owning the Miami missed catch).
  14. In other news, Kelvin Benjamin's new position coach in Kansas City locked him in the conference room "by accident" with an XBox last week...
  15. For some reason this thread reminded me of SI's article on Hoodie's inherited football library that he then donated to the Naval Academy in Annapolis in 2006--a collectible vault of sorts for football knowledge: https://www.si.com/2015/01/28/bill-belichick-library-steve-belichick-naval-academy Hoodie is like the Borg from Star Trek--constantly assimilating and absorbing all in his path
  16. McD could barely find it in himself to say a negative thing even of Kelvin Benjamin (remember the line he gave about KB's effort? “At times" it would be there?) so I'm not surprised he's not throwing too much shade over Shady's way. His players probably appreciate that he has their back versus the media scrum, but internally I'd love to hear what is said amongst the coaches about his play so far this year.
  17. Well, to be fair Donuts, my wife pretty much rules our roost, so it stands to reason that TB12's affinity for mom-jeans during the off-seasons proves he reigns supreme in the Bundchen household as well--and I think in his mind he can will away any lasting effects from head hits, and Giselle just doesn't get it!
  18. ^^^^^Post of the day Wiz, Post. Of. The. Day. I would only add, really need to see the Bills straight up handle their business against Hoodie & Co., because from a coaching standpoint the qualitative difference is still way too marked, aging Tom or not, as we saw this week with lack of critical in-game adjustments.
  19. As another poster above already mentioned, it’s clear that the lack of talent around JA right now is holding him back from his best self, not the other way around. How could you not like the direction he’s going? I’ve been super encouraged by most of what I’ve seen so far from him, including his priority of looking for intermediate/deep options first—we’ve been missing that kind of aggressive mind set from our signal callers for how long around here? Since Kelly? Everyone knows how deficient our roster is right now compared to 2013-14, yet we have a buzz/excitement about Sundays that has been missing for far too long.
  20. How do you tell a GOAT type player that he needs to start prepping an exit plan? A lot of the great ones had trouble coming to terms with their own playing mortality and ended up rather ungraciously exiting from their organizations...some to retire, some to eke out a few more seasons somewhere else because they still felt like they had “it,” which was a 50/50 proposition any given week; TB12 in Kraft’s mind has probably earned himself the right to do it however he wants to, including playing a few more years in decline, but I feel like Belichick is a different proposition—he’s always handled players as commodities that you buy/sell and don’t think about it in nostalgic terms. Get the popcorn ?! But at the end of the day, I’m more worried about our own house and taking care of our business, which will hopefully someday include a straight up beat down of these same Pats, consistently.
