  1. My personal fav excerpt—well done OP! “Human helicopter Cole Beasley caught a spectacular TD while landing on his head. Rookie revelation Gabe Davis was such an unknown that fellow rookie cornerback Amik Robertson forgot to cover him for an easy lob and catch for Davis’ second TD. John Brown had a TD catch on a fantastic pass and equally far-fetched catch – the referees just didn’t give it to him.”
  2. Does the saying, “you are what your record says you are” still apply? I would say yes
  3. Wouldn't this in theory benefit an offense which dictates the plays, more so than a defense gameplanning to respond to tendencies? First franchise 500 yard game? Yes, please! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_500-yard_passing_games_in_the_National_Football_League
  4. Possibly. But we would also need to know if there were extended family members who came down with it from community spread first, as opposed to this being a players-only phenomenon, before drawing that conclusion more definitely?
  5. Oh, no question, and MLB is definitely not comparable to the NFL for that to such an extent on the prep need side, but they will need to be thinking outside the box on how to get a full season or at least enough games to get to a playoff format, and I thought this would at least be another decent backup option if circumstances permit.
  6. Sorry if this has already been mentioned upthread or elsewhere, but on WGR Howard & Jeremy during Sal's spot in the 8AM hour, Jeremy had a pretty insightful suggestion imho--why doesn't the NFL go the route of matching up "clean" tested teams during the weeks where that week's opponent has too many positives to play the game--for example, the Bills could play the Broncos this week instead of TN, as both teams tested clean, and were supposed to play each other anyway, and so on. The motto being, get the games in where you can, and sort it out later. What's the sense in having 2 healthy teams sitting out a week that could be playing otherwise if their regularly scheduled opponent drops off? I get there would be issues with prep time etc., but the NFL is going to have to be flexible with this if we're going to get a full or almost full slate of games in. MLB did this to some degree when the Marlins stuff hit the fan, flipping series around and the like, without much of a hitch.
  7. They did the opposite of what the Falcons have been doing in their blown lead games...call runs to bleed clock; know the onside kick rules, execute. That is all.
  8. He’s been on the field when other teams score (a lot).
  9. You know me Donuts, Kelly will always be my #1 guy, but this Allen is showing us something truly special...and I’m thrilled to be able to see this after such a long wait since Kelly’s retirement after 96.
  10. Nope. And please reference this fact in your next fan article!
  11. Because it seemed like that ball had no windup—just a flick of his wrist and out it launched for umpteen yards—otherwise it’s heading to the Hoover Dam? 🤔
  12. Great write up per usual OP. I’m with you on the 4:25 start—it messed with the flow of my day and I too was worried about this being a letdown game—as soon as I saw how easily we punched it in 1st Q though, I mentally went on cruise control, even when the Raiders went on a mini-run, it felt nothing like the angst of the Rams game to me—crazy how quickly we can go from the mindset of how will we lose this game inevitably, to how close will we let the other team get before we slam the door shut for good...
  13. Agree generally with OP, but still way too many “chunk” plays given up along the way whether by ground or air mail—tighten it up fellas!! Nice to see some turnovers however!
  14. You know what they say about broken clocks...so we should still be good!
  15. That’s the fashionable half of his bee keeper suit, I think 🤔
  16. This is the type of presser that would make even Jimmy Spags want to cry uncle.
  17. That's what I thought the drumbeat going into the Rams game as a true "test" was all about?
  18. My fav. Well done/said, OP.
  19. In the spirit of the OP, FIFY.
  20. I noted this elsewhere yesterday, but I just feel like the bolded concerning what he thinks Allen did or didn't mean to the team in 2018, 2019 are solidly lazy and overly simplistic takes from someone who should know better. For those of us actually watching the games, we know Allen did more to help us win 5 out of the 6 wins in 2018 than "he was a hindrance," and kept us close in a few others (Clay's last second drop against Miami which if caught would've won the game, comes to mind), to say nothing of 2019 where he didn't just "stay out of the way," rather, was instrumental to the Bills going back to the playoffs at 10-6, including wins in Dallas and Pittsburgh...or am I the one on crazy pills?
  21. You must be able to fall asleep very easily already then.
  22. What? All I did was, I went to Joe D and said, "look into these eyes, we both know that I know what I'm doing..." snapped my fingers, and hey, I'm still here today! I mighta mentioned that he seemed sleepy, but it was a long drive home from the stadium, so I'm sure that's all it was.
