DirecTv Sunday Ticket- Potential big issues
PetermansRedemption replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It isn’t blacked out out of market. In market it is subject to NFL broadcast black outs. The next game, at 10PM, should not be blacked out. -
Cable TV Versus Everything Else

Called DIRECTV today to complain about no CBS, ended up getting $25 off my bill for 12 months. I called in December and they gave me free Sunday ticket and a $60 a month credit. Called today and now have the $25 a month credit. Brings me down to paying $42 a month for the middle range package and free Sunday Ticket Max. Every time I consider cancelling, they drag me back in. -
DirecTv Sunday Ticket- Potential big issues

I was coming here to ask this, if CBS was still blacked out in Buffalo. Absolutely ridiculous. -
I read this as 750 or more yards rushing. Reading comprehension is apparently not my strong suit. I voted accordingly as fewer than 750. In light of accurately reading the post, if he had 752 all purpose yards last year there is no way he gets less than that. I don’t see greater than 750 rushing yards though.

This Robert Kraft, what a whack job.

He’s probably drunk off his a** here. It’s not like he will be able to bust some sick moves. -

I have to imagine people are leaving in droves. DirecTV should crack and pay Nexstar whatever they want. It is just idiotic. At a minimum they should have to post a daily update on the channel that is blacked out. If Football season arrives and they still don’t have CBS they are going to lose an incredible amount of people. -

Thats so dirty. They should have to disclose to you that you will not get that channel and that it has no end in sight. -

Not sure of your location, but in the local Buffalo market the pre-season games are carried on WKBW channel 7 (ABC) which is not blacked out through DirecTV. We are safe at least for the next few weeks. If it isn’t corrected by then I’ll be getting an antenna or dropping DTV. -
What if Matt Barkley gets hurt?
PetermansRedemption replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would bet that when almost any back up in the league has to play, win percentage plummets. For that reason, I’d rather see what Tyree can do. We have suffered through Peterman, the worst QB in NFL history, can it get any worse? -
Raiders officially selected for Hard Knocks
PetermansRedemption replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m sure it’s somewhat of a distraction. I think the magnitude of be distraction is overblown. I would absolutely love to see the Bills selected for this show next year if they miss the playoffs this season (otherwise they wouldn’t be eligible). -
Good thing someone already thought to ban those. They were banned in 1994 under the Federal’s Assault Weapons Ban. I can’t explain why most mass shooters use AR’s, perhaps because the media talks them up so much? In most southern states a pistol is just as easy to obtain. A shooter can easily make a Glock 9MM with a few extended mags as deadly as an AR. It is far easier to control the muzzle rise and stay on target, because you won’t have any with the Glock. That is where the problem lies. How do you fix the issue? Is it culture or is it the guns? Democrats say guns, republicans say culture. If it’s the guns, You would need to ban all rifles and pistols to pre-empt the switch from rifles to pistols for mass shooters. Then how do you ban a rifle? New York tried with the safe act, by defining “evil” features. You know what someone did, made NY Safe Act legal AR’s. Do you just ban all non bolt action rifles? But wait, a bolt action rifle in the hands of a skilled shooter can be deadly as well. See the Austin tower mass shooting. How do you collect all the existing rifles and pistols? Very few owners will own up to having them. Maybe half if you are lucky. The rest will suddenly have “lost” them. Do you search the house? What if they have moved off the weapons off site? Do you detain them until they talk? But then how do you even force the legislation through? Republicans will never vote for it. I’m sure some Democrats wouldn’t as well. Even if you force it through AND the President at the time signs it, can it withstand a conservative supreme courts interpretation of the 2nd amendment? You can easily see why this hot button issue will likely never be solved. You would need a country unified on the cause. You would need a political party completely in control of the senate, the house, and the presidency. Then you would need a rather liberal Supreme Court interpretation of the 2nd amendment.

Cody Ford takes 1st reps at RG
PetermansRedemption replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree. I just hope Morse can be healthy for, at least, game 4 of the season. Might be able to come out 2-1 or 3-0 in those first 3 even with Bodine starting. -

Nice! This is why most injuries to the OL wouldn’t have bothered me. We have depth everything, except center. Be healthy Mitch Morse. HEALTHY! -
WR battle heading into first preseason game
PetermansRedemption replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From the practices I have seen, Ray-Ray has absolutely outshined McKenzie. I was very impressed with Ray-Ray and Zay Jones up to this point. -
Do firesticks get local channels? I’m unfamiliar with them. If so, I will be grabbing one. He was speaking of getting channel 4 (CBS) for opening day of the Bills. I looked on my guide today and the pre-season games are indeed on ABC (channel 7 in the Buffalo area). But for the regular season, I’m with you. I need to figure out what I’m doing. I’m thinking of going the Mohu Leaf from Amazon. It is an antenna that sticks on your window and has a coax line that you can run to your TV. It includes 10-16 feet of coax but obviously more could be bought.
-
I will have to check it out. I might have to buy an antenna sooner than anticipated ?. Don’t want to trust that it isn’t blacked out on 212-1.

Indispensable contribution to the thread

Don’t Bills pre-season games usually play on ABC? Channel 7 in the local Buffalo area.
