Why do people think this is a thing, he's not going there, he's not coming here, not the Texans, hell probably not even the ***** Jaguars even though they suck even still they're still to close to a step removed from being relevant enough in the conference for if they trade him there it blowing up in their face when they play them in the regular season for playoff seeding and even worse in the actual playoffs.

and they were really confused why an employee from another team caught it.

Rasul Douglas contract restructure... saves $2.5 mill
Warcodered replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it technically possible, sure, it just would be extremely surprising for them to do that after having just been negotiating on it, have to imagine there might be some sort of agent/lawyer fees they could end up paying twice doing that. -

I mean the only thing that could possibly be at this point if it was even anything, which it probably isn't, would be a trade, he's already here this season and they just fiddled with his contract to figure it out, so that's really all it could be. Seems much more likely players are goofing around after Dawkins. -
Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY

Steelers are in a rare position to basically have a QB getting paid top QB money but most of it is being paid by and costs the cap of another team. Only problem is he doesn't play like he's getting paid like that.

Maybe we call Dallas say sorry about last year but what would you give us to help make it up to you?

Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY
Warcodered replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm glad we didn't move on from a core team player like him that's been solid at that spot especially with no clear plan behind him, like that wouldn't have seemed smart. But not going to lie with all the gut wrenching heart and soul players we lost/losing this offseason that joke really kind of pisses me off. -
The Jaguars are at best the only team on that list a place they might remotely send him and that's only because they're awful.

Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY
Warcodered replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they're really moving on have to think they have a plan that we just don't see yet because it really doesn't make sense to move on without one, if this is a joke from Dawkins after losing Hyde, Poyer, Trey, and Morse that'd be real ***** up. -
It is a part of the game and would obviously depend on why they're looking for the trade, if it's just contract then yeah it's just as much a tool for a new contract as it is for getting traded somewhere that will give them one. But when someone gets tagged then the player is obviously going to want a negotiated deal whether it's on the current team or elsewhere.
-
Everybody that gets tagged wants a deal or a trade, being a diva has nothing to do with it.

If they get released and signed somewhere else they still get paid, that's why there's dead money right? Yes though players will make deals to stay on teams when they're on the edge of rosters, Knox is not on the edge of NFL rosters. Typically what's common is they move money around and the players actually benefit more from the restructure in some way and the can is kicked down the road, but they don't lose money. As for Von the thing I could see him doing is he actually is getting close to the edge of the roster with his injury and off-field situation. Him changing things up is about putting himself in a position to have a shot at another season to secure his spot and with incentives to make up for it.

Russ was probably willing to take a cheaper 1 year prove it deal somewhere as a starter knowing he's getting paid by Denver either way. Won't change the fact that he won't have the weight he's used to though.

Solid TE 2 restructures his deal to help the team out probably in the normal way, thread full of people crapping on him and asking if it's a pay cut even though nobody really does that ever.

Mike Tomlin meeting Russel Wilson going into training camp:

Yeah seems like a recipe with him and Tomlin for a Lockeroom of 2 men enter one man leaves with those personalities, and I wouldn't bet on Mr. Dangewhich in that fight.
