  1. The Jaguars are at best the only team on that list a place they might remotely send him and that's only because they're awful.
  2. If they're really moving on have to think they have a plan that we just don't see yet because it really doesn't make sense to move on without one, if this is a joke from Dawkins after losing Hyde, Poyer, Trey, and Morse that'd be real ***** up.
  3. It is a part of the game and would obviously depend on why they're looking for the trade, if it's just contract then yeah it's just as much a tool for a new contract as it is for getting traded somewhere that will give them one. But when someone gets tagged then the player is obviously going to want a negotiated deal whether it's on the current team or elsewhere.
  4. Everybody that gets tagged wants a deal or a trade, being a diva has nothing to do with it.
  5. The only thing they'll find in the Panthers #1 pick box is an IOU.
  6. If they get released and signed somewhere else they still get paid, that's why there's dead money right? Yes though players will make deals to stay on teams when they're on the edge of rosters, Knox is not on the edge of NFL rosters. Typically what's common is they move money around and the players actually benefit more from the restructure in some way and the can is kicked down the road, but they don't lose money. As for Von the thing I could see him doing is he actually is getting close to the edge of the roster with his injury and off-field situation. Him changing things up is about putting himself in a position to have a shot at another season to secure his spot and with incentives to make up for it.
  7. With all those comp picks this is going to be a hell of a draft for the 49ers.
  8. Russ was probably willing to take a cheaper 1 year prove it deal somewhere as a starter knowing he's getting paid by Denver either way. Won't change the fact that he won't have the weight he's used to though.
  9. Solid TE 2 restructures his deal to help the team out probably in the normal way, thread full of people crapping on him and asking if it's a pay cut even though nobody really does that ever.
  10. Mike Tomlin meeting Russel Wilson going into training camp:
  11. Yeah seems like a recipe with him and Tomlin for a Lockeroom of 2 men enter one man leaves with those personalities, and I wouldn't bet on Mr. Dangewhich in that fight.
  12. Well yeah, it's sign me an extension or trade me, and that should surprise no one. and while people might say why not us, the contract would be a pain in the ass, but the main thing is they'd never send him to the Bills, just like they'd never send him to the Chiefs or maybe at this point Texans.
  13. You mean a move where we lost a player and they gained a player....yeah that's an interesting take, it's not like this is a trade.
  14. I can't see us moving on from Dawkins without an actual plan for his replacement it just wouldn't make any sense.
  15. I definitely never attempted to fire lasers from my hands as a kid....😏 😢
  16. He has far too much child support to take any kind of deal we'd be able to offer.
  17. That makes so little sense for how the comp pick forumla should work, I mean you lose the player because he gets paid a contract in Free agency that you can't match given whatever situation your team is in with your players and cap situation, WTF does an injury that happens way down the road in the middle of the season have to do with it. I mean what if he'd been struck by lightning in the middle of the season, god forbid, that's going to count against the FA loss formula for us because reasons?
  18. Solid TE3 makes perfect sense.
  19. This is really annoying, it doesn't make any sense to create a system to incentivize the promoting and developing of minority coaches with comp picks only to have it also effect the system used for comp picks that's supposed to help balance things from teams losing good players in FA. Why have those interconnected?
  20. 70 out of 10 of thousands I'd say it's more that despite the terrible conditions being known there were always going to be people that weren't adequately prepared for the conditions. Hell even we celebrate Fitzpatrick going to that freezing Patriots playoff game and having his shirt off, fans can be kind of dumb.
  21. Clearly you were the glue holding things together.
  22. For all the people happy about them losing a guy they spent money keeping for his Special Teams play, I'm not sure him taking a step back in said Special Teams play isn't a big reason why he's getting the axe. I'm not really sure, but I haven't really noticed him as a gunner as much this last season, and you usually can.
  23. I get what you mean, but I hope to see him batting clean up.
