  1. Personally, I love the guy's initiative. Putting his Finance degree (or whatever) to good use and actually trying to make a difference with it. And when you read the guy's plan it is impressive conceptually.
  2. Error Maybe - good one, but the truth is more like "Error Definitely".
  3. I hope that Byrd's play this year is explained by his health, but I said even last year that I thought he was overrated. I still think so, but again I hope I'm wrong.
  4. I like when he tries tracking down Linehan after the game, then when someone tells him he already went in the tunnel, Fitz says "tell him I said hi".
  5. Try telling that to Roscoe.
  6. Not sure what the post has to do with the thread title, but I do agree with the thread title - they are learning how to win. It sets up an interesting battle next week vs. the Steelers.
  7. I saw most of the first half, and Luck looked phenomenal. He's built real thick (body type reminds me of another pretty good QB who played for the Bills), has good wheels, tremendous vision and arm. Willing to stand in the pocket and find his second and third receivers. It was funny how the commentators could not contain themselves with excitement about this kid - they kept saying that the Cal defense was usually pretty stout but Luck was having his way with it. Barring something unexpected happening between now and April, if Buddy has a shot at him, he will break the all time record getting that pick in. Count on it.
  8. Captures the feeling pretty well, but I'm not sure why the article says "Thousands of people who live in Buffalo stick with our teams through every circumstance." Obviously there's a huge legion of Buffalo expatriates who follow the Bills and Sabres, too. When you consider distance, travel & Sunday Ticket costs, and different "home town" teams competing for expatriates' attention, the support that Buffalo teams get from out of town fans is an even more remarkable feature of Buffalo's fan base.
  9. A big +1 to show support for the dwindling numbers of classy folks who still come out to the games.
  10. Well done Billsbonds! This is not an easy task to take on, and we appreciate your efforts. Keep us posted.
  11. Enlightening thread. I didn't know Ray Charles liked football.
  12. You're kidding posting this, right? Them there are some SERIOUS rose-colored glasses!
  13. Someone help me here - why is he still on this team? Not only is he unable to set the edge, cover anyone, rush the passer, or get off blocks, but as an added bonus he also gets in the way (blocks) other defensive players from getting to the ball. Amazing that nobody else on the roster can push him for playing time.
  14. Not sure slow motion is really needed to see that. Hali was a beast today.
  15. I'm sorry, I don't see it. He's still far away from being an "impact corner". Every time his man catches a ball the words "first rounder" flash in my mind. Has he knocked down ANY passes this year?
  16. "Often missing in the clutch"? Serious? Do you have stats on his 4th quarter kicks to validate that perception?
  17. Oh I thought you meant me.
  18. Agreed, I hate the sheepishly jogging out of bounds.
  19. How was the Reggie corner pick, not a pick? He caught the ball probably 4 full yards in front of the end line.
  20. Fox News Sunday just did a feature on Washington Capitols owner Ted Leonsis. This guy answers every email he gets from fans. Fox even published his email address at the end of their story so fans could try it. When asked what the biggest mistake of most sports owners is, he said, (paraphrasing here) "acting like they know enough about the sport to call the shots. I would not even pretend to know what I'm doing and act like a GM. My job is to pay for what the team needs, and make sure the beer is cold." Other quotes (paraphrased) “Every owner holds the mental health of their community in the palm of their hand.” “winning a championship can make grown men cry.” “I will not rest, or die a happy man until I win a title.” Heavy sigh....
  21. Flop - great avatar!
  22. Correct answer. I would have thought this is pretty obvious at this point, but obviously it isn't to some. Oh and by the way, if all remains silent at One Bills Drive, it doesn't necessarily mean they are standing pat as some will assume. It means the RIGHT deal didn't materialize. You don't deal just to deal, if it's not in your interest.
  23. Would the team as currently composed make more or less revenue (prior to a sale) if it was known that the Bills will remain safely in WNY? The answer to this question might explain the lack of a publicized plan.
