NEW UNIFORMS plus NEW UNIFORMS
BillnutinHouston replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe it was the video stream but they look kind of boring to me. At least not "fashion forward" as John Murphy called the old ones. The home blue doesn't "pop" like the throwbacks did, and the road whites aren't nearly as nice as the throwback whites were. -
48% of everything for players
BillnutinHouston replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Surprised that nobody yet has commented on this paragraph from the article: "The higher floor proposal could cause some problems for the lower revenue teams such as the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. Along with the salary cap, teams have to pay an average of about $27 million a year in benefits." -
Should the Bills re-sign Drayton Florence?
BillnutinHouston replied to mjt328's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cap? What cap? I'd re-sign Florence as long as he promises to no longer commit 5 penalities a game. -
Your OP stated "Look back at all the decisions he has made throughout the team's 50+ year history and try to not make any excuses for him while analyzing his decisions, and just see if it doesn't look like he was intentionally trying to fail." Of course your post couldn't reasonably have discussed ALL of Ralph's decisions, so let me ask this - how do seemingly illogical moves as scrapping and renovating the conditioning facilities and bringing in Dave Wannstedt as another high-priced defensive coach fit into your paradigm? Or would you argue that those, like his chartable endeavors, are "meaningless facts"? Just pointing out the silliness of painting Ralph's reign in such stark, black and white terms. Rarely do such simplistic arguments stand up to scrutiny.

Just got my Bills jersey order
BillnutinHouston replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually have to agree. Last year I broke down and bought my first jersey ever - a white throwback from DHGate (which was a great value in my opinion). I really liked the looks of it, but I feel a bit wierd wearing it as a 40-yr old guy (kind of feel like Doug Heffernan on the King of Queens or some other guy like that who just never grew up). I wouldn't wear it anywhere except on gameday at the Ralph. Can't wait to see the new unis, but I won't buy another jersey. Plenty of caps, t-shirts, maybe a polo, but no more jerseys for me. To each his own I guess. -
After all of jwolf's work, you reply with a spelling correction? Really? Classy.

Bills not funding coaches' pension & 401K plans
BillnutinHouston replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Over the past several months, other articles have documented that the Bills' pension plan was superior to that of most of the league. Just saying. -
That's a great sign. Maybe playing for the Bills is no longer just about the paycheck. Can't wait to see if Whitner reports.

I do not have a financial background but I'll comment anyway: Sure it's a free country, but just because "your buddy firmly believes", you post this wild speculation about a guy that used to drive a used Taurus? Really? Was that intended to trump your post from earlier this week saying a friend of Jack Kent Cooke told a friend of a friend of yours that the NFL wants out of Buffalo in the worst way? What gives, PTR? Having a bad week?

Bills to install A-Turf field
BillnutinHouston replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The blue end zones should be cool. Between the new helmets and the new endzones, looks like the "red" is being deemphasized and made just an accent color. -
Call me crazy but ....
BillnutinHouston replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best draft in many, many years. Second year for the new coaching staff, and Bills players in Chan's offense. Increasing contributions ahead (my projection) for Shawn Nelson, David Nelson, Danny Batten and Torell Troup. Wannstedt landed. Spiller hasn't played his best ball yet. Whaley in, Modrak gone. Better days are ahead! -
Donte Whitner compares himself to Jesus
BillnutinHouston replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Donte keeps finding new lows. Not sure he can get any lower than that. -
"I do."

Whitner Tweets: Thinks he's gone?
BillnutinHouston replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not think it's "hating" to analyze what you see. If the analysis happens to be negative, so be it. I'm sure Donte is a great guy. He's tried to be a leader having the DBs over to his house to watch film, etc. but just hasn't made many big plays. His tweets consistently reveal a lack of mental toughness. Consistent with his relentless tweeting, his empty playoff guarantee a few years ago shows big-talking bravado that is supported by...nothing. To say it's consistently annoying is not hating. It is what it is. -
Sabres Game #7 on Versus
BillnutinHouston replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hearing Ruff being interviewed during the 2nd period was pretty uninspiring. No energy or optimism there. Lindy sounded like he was giving up. Is there some reason why the Sabres look so tired? -
After watching Gruden's QB Camp ...
BillnutinHouston replied to HankBulloughMellencamp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After watching Cam on Gruden's show, it's clear to me that the Bills will stay FAR AWAY from Newton. Gruden put him on the spot and asked him to call a play he ran at Auburn - it was embarrassing - he couldn't even name one play (since they ran a system of numbers displayed from the sideline). I can only imagine how badly Newton bombed out when the Bills interviewed him. Gabbert looked smart, athletic and hungry with Gruden. I think I'd be happy with him at 3, although I'd prefer Dareus or Miller based on immediate need. -
So the Bills are named in he article as having made a call. Did Buddy call and say, "hey, would you be interested in trading down? We want to pick up a 2nd tier QB with your pick!" Buddy may have called another team, and he may have said he's interested in trading up, but I guarantee you, he DIDN'T say who he wanted to select with that pick! It's all speculation, folks. Relax.

Bound to get the TE position right
BillnutinHouston replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I absolutely think he will, if he can figure out how to manage those migranes. -
ANY of you season ticket holders in or around
BillnutinHouston replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I used to be in row 10. I'd take row 17 in a heartbeat. Nearly perfect height in my opinion. -
Here's how I'd re-write the opening quote in this thread: "Bills General Manager Buddy Nix is talking like a man who wants to take a quarterback with the third overall pick in the NFL draft understands that his most valuable commodity right about now is the third overall pick in the NFL draft. Buddy is wisely trying with all his might, to leverage other teams' desperation for a QB into gaining highly valuable additional picks for a Bills roster that needs to fill multiple holes."
