  1. Overall it looks real good. Interested to see how the "rep" feature is going to work.
  2. I see the vision and elusiveness of Thurman in his prime, with maybe even more burst through the hole. Definitely he's a force to be reckoned with from day 1. I now agree with the statement (that I believe either Nix or Gailey made) that CJ is the type of back who makes his OL look even better than they really are. In a sense, his selection was a novel approach to making the OL better without actually selecting an OL.
  3. Question - are you a knuckel head if you can't spell knuckle correctly?
  4. Aaron, can you say COUNTER move?
  5. Let's keep in mind that 3 of our projected starters (Bell, Wood, Green) did not play. The depth did not look good however, and Chambers was atrocious as usual.
  6. It was pretty apparent (to me) that his body language combined with his statement showed he's very defensive on the subject of the Bills. I suspect he's been getting a lot of flak aimed at him from WNY and he doesn't like it.
  7. I knew there was something I liked about that Leach guy.
  8. OK, if the Bills' plane is grounded on the way to Dallas flying to the Super Bowl in January that might be interesting. But tweeting about being grounded on the way to the first preseason game? TMI in my opinion. Man I hate tweeting by pro athletes. It's so narcissistic.
  9. Steam, I almost choked on my lunch when I saw your avatar.
  10. Interesting point. If this is the case, I like this approach. When you think about it, there is a clear theme emerging from this (Gailey/Nix) regime, both from what they say and what they do - to get on the field you need to EARN it. Being a high draft choice on this team doesn't entitle you to anything, you need to produce.
  11. I think it's either that they like what they see at the position, or they've completely bought into "full rebuilding mode".
  12. So it was Simon that Marv Levy was screaming "overofficious jerk" to on the sidelines?
  13. Hmmmm...I've never inspected it that closely. Do you have any more fun facts?
  14. Um, no. http://www.bls.gov/web/laus/laumstrk.htm
  15. Nice, a "Dumb and Dumber" reference!
  16. Understood - been through the Columbus area myself. I guess I was suspecting that it was some kind of a knock against Texas (the stereotype of tumbleweeds, hicks and all). Hopefully most here understand that Texas' economy is leaving most of the rest of the US in the dust.
  17. I don't get the double-wide reference.
  18. ....brings to mind visions of Russ Brandon jumping up and down trying to see over the players.
  19. Chan will be fun to watch, no doubt. I like a surly coach.
  20. Trent has shown NFL-quality talent in streaks - nobody can deny his talent exists. Our QBs last year, including Trent, had probably the worst-ever combination of OL play/injuries and coaching that any QB has ever had. How some can solidify their opinions of Trent based on last year, is beyond me and wreaks of unknowledgeable, reactionary fandom. I trust Buddy's and Gailey's judgement and they put Trent in the lead. This was my thought going in. Glad to see that my white throwback #5 jersey is not irrelevant after just 1 year.
  21. I've also wondered why Ralph never did this, but my guess is that he's just a traditionalist. I do NOT think this makes the difference between the Bills staying in WNY and not, though.
