  1. I think Trent can be serviceable.
  2. When you trade up, you put a lot of chips on ONE GUY being really good (and staying healthy), because you've given up other players to get him. In the Bills' situation, if anything, you trade DOWN. Your best course of action is not to pursue ONE dominant player, you need SEVERAL good ones. You get your hands on several by adding picks, not giving them away. Plus the strength of your organization (we hope) is now Buddy Nix - get more picks in that man's hands!!!!
  3. I will never forget that perverse bit of ineptitude on Royal's part - perfect throw and he catches the ball but then takes two INSANELY LARGE strides and steps out of the endzone. After that play, I had Royal forever labelled in my mind as "Gorilla steps".
  4. That's a dumb statement on Lombardi's part. Not only does he not know the timing of any Bills inquiry, but the Eagles are in a situation where they ARE taking their time and evaluating all offers. Timing has nothing to do with the final outcome here. This is just a hunch on my part but I happen to think Lombardi has an ax to grind when it comes to the Bills. I think he wanted back in the GM game and was ticked that he never got a sniff from the Bills.
  5. Yea I'm in the same boat. Got the white throwback so I'd hate to shelve it. I think under a new staff, Edwards can be serviceable. Thanks NEVERGIVEUP for another solid update.
  6. In the history of really ugly Bills merchandise, this has to be the worst. But I will say, the snap enclosure at the top is MOEY.
  7. Hard to see what the down side of this signing would be.
  8. In the history of ugly Bills gear, this has to be the worst. But I will say, the snap enclosure at the top is MONEY.
  9. Does anyone really expect to hear words of truth coming from the mouths of HC's or GM's in the weeks leading up to the draft?
  10. Dirty looks - can you elaborate on the context? Was it a snobby thing? I hope not- that would be very disappointing.
  11. Correct. The most weighty issue that Russ Brandon or Ralph Wilson should be allowed to strategize on now, is the endzones - green or red?
  12. Can't vouch for this website, but here's a link confirming a mid-April schedule release date.
  13. I've seen quite a bit of McCoy - no thanks. He may resemble Drew Brees in stature, but not in play. Sure he looks great against Sam Houston State, but not so hot against top competition.
  14. I tried delving into several paragraphs of this, but its really hard to follow. I'm sure there may be valid thoughts in there somewhere - for example, I do agree that the Bills' brass intentionally obfuscates about their real intentions (I think that was one of the points you were making).
  15. I do not have your answer but you would think that since a) they have a new head coach b) new GM and Assistant GM c) new strength and conditioning coaches, and d) several players may be playing new positions ...many players would be working out in Buffalo this offseason. If players on our roster aren't willing to do it this year of all years, then their commitment is questionable. At a minimum they should be fully communicating with the S&C coaches to make sure they are headed in the right direction with their respective private workout regimens.
  16. Not done yet. Apparently they were pursuing Porter so they are obviously still looking to fill certain holes through FA.
  17. If it was Mayock or Lombardi, maybe, but I think I'll pass on hearing Marshall Faulk's "analysis".
  18. Not to be contrary to the views above because I do NOT think that Buffalo is a pariah among free agents but.....out comes the news that Edwards failed physicals in Denver and Seattle. So it's not really accurate to say that Edwards CHOSE Buffalo over those two cities.
  19. Someone noted that they also received this photo, except it had their own name listed on the scoreboard. I guess the whole point of the photo was not to display the great football being played, but rather to use the marketing gimmick of a photo showing a real NFL play with YOUR NAME on the scoreboard in the background. If that was the point, then they had to use a photo taken from an endzone, in order to get the scoreboard in the shot. Still, you would have thought they could have found, after much digging, a photo of a receiver about to catch a ball, with the scoreboard in the background, that they could use to display the season ticket holder's name on the scoreboard.
  20. So what would you call someone who took the time to READ the report of such a so-called loser?
  21. I liked the QB's quote - Edwards I think his name is - when asked which NFL team he would like to play for. "Beggars can't be choosers" he said. He's got "Buffalo Bill" written all over him.
  22. Yikes. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
  23. What I make note of here is the comments on Byrd. I, like the author, am not quite ready to anoint him as a star simply based on his gaudy 2009 numbers - many of his picks were easy IMO. Whether they were just thrown to him or whether Byrd put himself in a position to make them look easy, is an open question for smarter football minds than I. Time will tell. As I consider my level of football knowledge, skimpy though it is, I'm comforted to know that I'm not the only one who thinks Byrd may be a bit overrated at this stage of the game.
