  1. Elaine Dickinson: "There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?"
  2. The interesting thing here is the "who"! I think it was the fans who set these expectations. The team is not meeting our expectations based on our information. Unfortunately, fan expecations and information is often not based in reality.
  3. Nope. It is always the GM's fault, no...it's always the Head Coach's fault, no...it's always the owner's fault. Well, it is always someone elses fault but the guys on the field being played big money to play a kids game. I mean, come on now, it can never be the players fault?
  4. The thing I remember is that will time running down in the 4th douring the last drive the ref placed the ball on the line of scrimmage As the Bills walked up, a Giant' delineman kicked the ball and the ref had to retrieve the ball and reset it. That cost the Bills about 10 seconds on the clock. That would have given the Bills one more play.
  5. The world does rotate around the Oline. If the Oline gave the QB protection, the QB position would be playing better, the Offense would be more productive, and the team would be above 500. With a winning team I doubt people would be trashing the GM and coaching staff.
  6. One does not learn how to drive a car sitting in the passenger seat. I expect to see JP.
  7. I counted out loud a few times after the snap and Sunday and could not count the times I barely finished "two-one thousand" before someone was through the line. How can any QB bring an exciting football when he has no OLine to protect him and he has no time for plays to even develop?
  8. ah, ah humm... I think many of us did in fact blame the Oline for Bledsoe's and the teams issues over the past two years..that is those of us that do not have the overwhelming need to trash the GM, coaching staff, or QB at every opportunity.
  9. Yes, but the penalty extended a drive and helped change any momentum the game had. The best player on the team should not make such bonehead plays. That goes for Fletcher as well.
  10. MM is not the one to blame on the penalties. On Sunday there were penalties by Fletcher and Clements that helps to extend drives. These guys are vets that know what penalties are and know better.
  11. If you actually paid attention to the games you will have noticed that nothing has changed on the Oline since last year. The Oline has actully been a problem with this team for at least 5 years now. As soon as the ball gets to JP there are guys in the backfield chasing him. The guy has no time in order to make any decisions let alone good ones. he is now taking what, a 10 step drop to get himself some time? Changing QBs will solve nothing. I'm sorry. You can blame the coaches all you want. The players are highly paid professionals and should be able to play the game in spite of coaching.
  12. The bottom line for me is that there are men playing a kids game for big money. The blame does not lie with the owner, GM, or coaching staff. It is up to the players to perform on the field.
  13. I am on the other side of the equator attending a conference and will be missing the next two games. Hard to believe that last week I was sitting in the upper deck at the Ralph. (in case you HAVE to know, I am here presenting a paper at a conference) While I have the games being Tivoed, I will be relying upon NFL.com for stats and you guys for all important commentary. Obrigado! (Thanks)
  14. Ther are these networking guys held up in their building who have been feeding photos out suich as this one where the water was just thrown off the truck. Ironically, they7 say, the water brand is "Nirvana"
  15. There are three kinds of looters: despiration degenerate disinfranchised The despirate are looting for water and diapers. The degenerate are those that make a living stealing cars and breaking into homes. The disinfranchised believe that the government owes them something and looting is their payback. The last two are unacceptable in a sitaution like that unfolding in NOLA.
  16. Word is that Fats Domino was one of those that decided to ride it out. He has not been heard from since Sunday...
  17. I passed by a station last night by the Columbus, OH airport: 3.69 reg 3.89 prem This station is normally high, but is over 50 cents more than the second highest price I have seen.
  18. We had 4 inches in central Ohio
  19. Don't count on it. There are reports that 8 refineries are off line. That will certainly impact gas supply. The BIG issue and greater impact on people will be the increase in the cost of natural gas.
  20. There are many things we spend money on that we can do without in order to afford gas. If money is so tight it is time for some to trade off that $30+ for a carton of butts, $20 a week for lottery tickets, $2 bottles of water, and $4 lattes for gas. Yes, there are people who can not afford any of the above and for that I am sad. I do not know if I accept an "I can't afford gas" argument, however, at least from a group of people who are able to have the resources to post to TBD.
  21. Is it a first generation? There is this wacky old guy named Doc Brown over in Hill Valley who may have some old parts laying around.
  22. He will become a member of LeBron James' possy. He was so spoon-fed since high school that he can't make decisions on his own. Maurice listens to the people around him who feed him with really bad advice.
  23. Good thing it wasn't in Boloxi. What happened there is just sad.
  24. Other than on the OL they should stick with the guys they have. Signing free agents at this point can only lead to future salary cap hell problems
