  1. Seriously, a rule change I would like to see is pass interference placing he ball at the spot of the foul. All too often a game is swung when a ball is tossed 40+ yards down field, incidental contact occuring, and it turning into a 40+ yard penalty. I would like to see it change back to a 10-15 yard penalty. Additionally, down by contact should be reviewable.
  2. Remember that Ryan Leaf could throw in college as well.
  3. Put him in the Mike Vick, Dante Culpepper, Donovan McNabb class of QBs. Exciting to watch but will not get a SB ring as starter. In fact, to win a SB in this league you need a boring and consistant QB that does not make mistakes.
  4. History indicates that Heisman trophy winning QBs do not win SBs. Additionally: - There have been 26 different starting SB QBs since 1985 - 11 1st round draft choices have started a SB. - 10 QBs were drafted in the 4th round or later (including UDFA) have started a SB. - 33% of the past 21 SB (7) were won by 1st rd choices - 48% (10) were won by QBs drafted 4th round or later (incl UDFA). - 7 of the 1st rd choices started the SB for the team that drafted them. Aikman is the only one to win. - Aikman, Elway, and Dilfer are the only 1st rounders to win. - More QBs (4) drafted in the 4th Rd have won the SB for the team that drafted them than those 1st Rd. (Brady, Warner, Rypien, Montana)
  5. Opps sorry for the duplicate, the other post had moved to page two...
  6. As of noon on Jan 6th Krumrie is still an employee of the Buffalo Bills. I would suspect that he will remain an employee until after the Gray decision, which also has not been made as of noon, contrary to other reports on this board.
  7. Did anyone mention anything about Troy Smith's performance against ND? This kid is underated and will be coming out in all likelihood in 2007.
  8. Marv has no management experience. Making him GM would only prove that RW has indeed gone crazy... I like Marv, but making him GM is a bit of a stretch.
  9. He was getting punchy with a reporter... and then disclosed the medication dose.
  10. That is why they will hang onto MM.
  11. BTW, based on winning percentage alone MM is in the top third of Bills all-time coaches. Only 4 of the 13 coaches in Bills history have a 500% or better winning percentage: Saban, Knox, Levy, and Phillips. Some would question the successes of Knox and Phillips.
  12. Bring in a guy with no coaching experience as an NFL head coach, now that is one of the best ideas I have heard yet on this board You must have forgotten to include a smilie of some sort. Chris Speilman wanted to be the head coach of the Buckeyes without having any coaching experience. It is a good thing they choose Tressel since Speilman coached the AFL Columbus Destroyers for only one year and had only one win when Tressel won the BCS in his second year.
  13. You must not be old enough to remember Jim Ringo (3-20) Kay Stevenson (10-26) or Hank Bullough (4-17). In two years MM is three wins from matching their collective 6 year totals. There was also Harvey Johnson (2-23-1)
  14. 1:10 - bashing of any/all of the decisions made begins.
  15. Not that you were one of them, but just a couple days ago people filled this board with comments that KH gives this team the best chance to win. What a difference a game makes. Anyone who blames this loss on coaching hasn't a clue. 14 points off of 4 INTs and a special team TD is all about bad execution.
  16. If you put Brees in front of the Bills current OL he would play just like JP. So, I would not give up anything.
  17. I think half the posters on this board would fill the role nicely.
  18. The 1st round pick will hold out during training camp, be useless for the 1st year, get injured during his 2nd camp and miss half the year. TD will be criticized since he should have known all that going in. If he trades the pick, then the pick will go onto a HOF career. TD will be criticized post mortum since he should have known all that going in.
  19. Yes, I guess you are right R Rich. I guess it is as easy to judge GMs after one year as it is to evaluate the future success of a QB after 8 career starts. Well, at least from this side of the computer screen, eh?.
  20. And the Browns have gotten how much better under Savage's (albeit short) tenure? Differences in salary cap philosophy?

  22. Personally, if I had an OL like the one I was dealt, I would hold out my young guy and put in the 10 year vet as well.
  23. Could it also be that this OL is so bad that MM doesn't want to risk him being hurt? Holcomb is doing better right now for one simple reason: 10 years of NFL experience.
