  1. I hope so. At least Martin has seen game action within the past decade.
  2. Um, yeah. Right. I would ignore that source from now on.
  3. Obviously?! Hmmm. The only thing that is obvious is that Davis will be drafted by an NFL team. I do not know how anyone can judge talent levels when neither has shown anything on the pro field. i.e. Shawn Alexander is obviously better than Travis Henry
  4. V Young took it again and got a 16. Brilliant! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11590315/
  5. All one can say is that McKinnie he has been more durable that MW. The jury is still out whether he was worth the fourth pick overall. McKinnie has yet to appear in a Pro Bowl. He is also not a "character guy." He was arrested for a scuffle in a gas station last year and is all about the money. Besides, based on all the talk on this board it looks like they should have drafted LeCharles Bentley
  6. Hmmm. We want more OLers that were set out at the curb?
  7. Won't happen. Coming off a serious injury and a large cap number. Just not a smart move.
  8. Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda. The Bills should have taken: Lynn Swann over Ruben Gant in '74 Clay Matthews or Ozzie Newsome over Terry Miller in '78 Mike Singletary instead of Booker More in '81 Jerry Rice over Derrick Burroughs in '85 ...and so on.
  9. I like Mangold. He may last until the 2nd run of OL but I expect him to be a late 1st rounder...
  10. It takes no journalistic talent to go back over any past drafts and critisize GMs for not choosing players years later. The draft IS a crap shoot and as at the tables in Vegas, some are luckier than others. I would love to see which sports writers thought Ryan Leaf or Tony Mandarich were going to be a superstars. As I recall, both made the covers of leading sports publications at the time. Instead, the GMs get critisized for actually choosing them.
  11. But a DE does nothing to upgrade an extremely pitiful OL.
  12. Of course, all the information that we are hearing regarding the individuals and dollars involved is all based on rumor. If the dollar amounts were true, Mrs. #99 would have been responsible for 33% of the total cash flow of the ring. This sounds fictional.
  13. He has to have something on him!! Perhaps CL has some disability which prevents the team from letting him go in fear of a law suit.
  14. Opps. Sorry. Not College rules.
  15. Take a look at his feet and the location of the ball in relation to his left foot and line goal and side line. Jackson Catch It looks like it crossed the plane to me
  16. I feel Mel provides absolutely no insight at all I TIVO the draft to FF through his annoying rants and "expert" opinions.
  17. Let's get realistic. The Brick and Young will be gone by then. Unless an OL is there, I think they keep trading down 3-5 spots and gathering picks until the 20th pick or so. Less cap $
  18. Mark Perlman rocks as a Line Judge! (yes! sarcasim!)
  19. This team took a step back NOT because of Losman!! They took a step back because the players could not execute on game day. The OL could not execute, which left Losman's inexperience exposed. Holcomb's experience alternatively, hid the execution problems with the OL. The OL could not run block, which killed the run game, which put more pressure on the passing game, which again exposed inexperience. The players get the big bucks to play a game thay have been playing since they were 8. They should be able to play the game despite coaching and despite scheme.
  20. The problem is not with the people MM hired than with MM himself.
  21. This is a pretty good guess. I would suspect that Sunday TV revenue gains also play a big part in the process.
  22. Yep, here at Ohio State the Professors are the best judges of football/athletic talent as well.
