  1. Troup is an overweight slug.
  2. Umm, maybe the are keeping MLmbecause CJ has yet to touch the ball in a Pro game?
  3. I second this perspective.
  4. People are still talking about other QBs. Time to let it go..
  5. Grading a draft before any of the players have played one game is like reviewing a movie before filming even begins.
  6. All drafts should be graded three years after the fact. A few years ago the Ravens got an A+ in the draft. 3 years later only one of them was still with the club
  7. Cbus news reports discussions w/ St.L are dead.
  8. I wouldn't take a QB in the first round. Period.
  9. The assumption that this thread is making is that coaches are the reason behind a bad team. When in fact, talent also needs to be considered. I would love to look back at Marv's coaching staff 1987 to see how many were cast offs from bad teams.
  10. it wasn't a problem with the strength and conditioning coach or bad game planning that put him in a bad position that resulted in the injury then?
  11. Ain't that the truth.
  12. Hear, Hear! We could draft Joe Montana and we would be cut after his first season behind this line...
  13. Goodbye Rusty Jones, Hello broken bones
  14. Absolutely NO QBs in the first round. They will be on the bench with a concussion by week 6 and this board will be lit up slamming the team didn't select an OL or DL in the 1st. 1st round QBs are high risk, and this team can not afford high risk...
  15. The notion they are playing to lose is ridiculous.
  16. Any position but QB or RB
  17. A QB drafted in the 1st round will become the next JP/Trent behind this line. It would be an absolute waste of a draft pick / money. If either of those guys had a better line, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
  18. Ryan Leaf was the real deal. Drafting a QB in first round is a bigger risk then hiring a head coach with no experience. For every Manning there are two dozen Ryan Leafs
  19. First round QBs are a big gamble. More QBs drafted in later rounds have won the SB than first rounders...
  20. Coaches put every player in a position to make plays. Making the plays is up to the player. Are you suggesting a coach would undermine his team by intentionally not putting a player in position to make plays?
  21. Shanahan and Schottenheimer are old crusties who's best days are behind them. Cowher & Gruden have some shelf life and the attitude this team needs. My feeling is that Cowher will land up in Washington.
  22. Hmmmm. Most *proven HEAD* coaches that *want* to coach are employed. A few options are to; a) violate NFL policies and negotate within one already in a contract; b) get one out of the TV booth (no easy task. people are delusional if that think Cowher would jump out for the Bills); or c) hire a *proven* old crusty who's best coaching days are years behind. Whom do YOU have in mind? Name names.
  23. In the case of yesterday's game, I do not see how the QB is responsible for 13 penalties, a muffed punt, and a 15 backwards return which gave back field position. Any momentum the QB position was gaining was taken away by the above.
  24. It's the training staff's fault it's the coach's fault it's the players fault for not training properly in the off season. This is PRO FOOTBALL. Large men throwing themselves around at fast speeds Injuries happen. No one to blame except the sport itself.
