  1. ... and started trying to be fancy and dance around in his return game? He used to run upfield with reckless abandon. It seems that every return this year he has been afraid of getting hit.
  2. After further review, Brady's trailing leg on the slide touched the ground at the 37, his lead leg at the 36. He slid to the 33.The spot wasn't perfect, but wasn't awful.
  3. I have some questions about the QB slide rule With 1:15 left in the 3rd Brady scrambled left tackle and did a QB slide. It was marked at the BUF 36 for 9 yards. When he stopped his slide, his lead foot was at the 36. The slide mark left on the turf, however, started at least two yards earlier. Is the rule that the ball is spotted where the QB slide starts , or stops? I would think it should be where it starts. Additionally, in most plays the ball is placed where the ball is located. At the very least, they placed the ball where his lead foot stopped, not a yard back where the ball was when the slide stopped. This is a moot point if the QB side rule is that the ball is placed at the most forward progress of any part of the QB's anatomy
  4. thanks for posting all the great shots!
  5. Rex Grossman is a better option
  6. Yep, the fact they players are not executing on the field is all Ralph's fault.
  7. The Mythbuster's 2008 'End With a Bang' episode proved that you can, in fact, polish a turd.
  8. No, it just goes to show what happens when someone is let go because of short term thinking, which is the hallmark of this board. This board bashed Gilbride about his schemes. They aren't looking so bad now, are they..
  9. Yes, the person on top of the org chart is always to blame. With that said, this game is all about chemistry, and it is much harder to achieve than anyone on this board would ever care to admit. It can not be drafted, it can not be coached. It just happens.
  10. Yep, changing coordinators every year will provide the instability this team needs to be successful.
  11. I think there is plenty of talent on this team. When the talent doesn't execute is come down, in my opinion, to questioning the heart of this team. There are few leaders emerging, or depth of leadership. During the super bowl days they were called the bickering Bills, which was a misnomer. The problem was there were too many leaders whom were all trying to push the team. The kind of leadership can not be drafted or evaluated. It evolves on the field. That is the problem with the team. Not coaching, not talent.

  13. You are spot on. Changing coaches will do nothing for this team. The bottom line for me is that the guys on the field need to execute or they are out of a job. In this case it was not the play calling. It was Trent underthrowing and Losman taking three sacks.
  14. That one alone should end this ridiculous thread.
  15. I can't believe someone would suggest Martyball. Sherman is coaching A&M for a reason. Before we look at the coaches we need to look at the execution of the players. Missed field goals, bad penalties, and dropped balls fall at the feet of the guys on the field. Execution of less than 6 plays decided the outcome of the last two losses. Had we won those we would not be having this conversation.
  16. This is still crazy talk. While Trent's confidence is shaken, benching him at this point could really shake it. Starting Losman does nothing good.
  17. You completely underestimate both the pain or treatment for this condition. Repeated injections are not recommended since they can weaken the plantar fascia and cause it to rupture as well as shrink the fat pad covering the heel. Left untreated, it can result in back, knee, or hip problems. It is not uncommon for it to take a year of treatments for a non-athlete for the condition to improve.
  18. It would matter whom was our QB. We are getting absolutely no run support. It doesn't matter if it is play calling or execution. I just wouldn't blame the QB.
  19. Except Brett's campaign may be tainted by possible 'tampering' charges through his contact with the Lions the second week of the season. linky Farve and Lions
  20. The reality is that for every Joe Thomas there are three dozen Mike Williams'. I think it takes 3-4 years of Pro ball for a lineman's true talent to emerge. Why waste choices guessing on raw talent when you can get a lineman with known skills with only a few miles on him...
  21. He certainly is not alone in that belief
  22. People have too much time to think during a bye week.
