  1. Winning without (guy did not have a lot of stats) is different than winning without (not on the field). Diggs took attention and teams planned around defending him. With him gone its easier to defend other guys. A TE benefits from teams having a stud WR because the S help goes that direction instead of helping with a TE. The less weapons period hurts everyone.
  2. I will take Mitchell and McCaffrey later. I think he can be an above average S or zone CB. Maybe a really good one. If we are talking about him in 3rd or 4th and we already have a WR I am fine with it. But I dont know if he starts over Rapp or Edwards next year and is not playing over Johnson.
  3. We have Shakir and Samuel. I dont think the WR gets better with McConkey. We need Mitchell, Polk or Franklin .
  4. 1) Using our top pick on a DB 2) I think he lacks some physical attributes (quickness, arm length, height) that will hurt him in the NFL game 3) He played some bad QB's and offenses which make his tape look better
  5. Hard to argue the Bills are not well behind all the teams below in TE/WR core. Bills: Kincaid, Samuel, Shakir BAL: Andrews, Flowers, Bateman CIN: Gesicki, Chase, Higgins CLE: Njoku, Cooper, Moore, Jeudy HOU: Schultz, Diggs, Dell, Collins/Brown/Woods JAC: Engram, Kirk, Davis, Thomas Jr. KC: Kelce, Rice, Brown, Worthy MIA: Smith, Hill, Waddle NYJ: Conklin, Wilson, Williams
  6. Beane knows this trend in WR pay is going to reverse by then because he is a wizard.
  7. Well if Worthy or Legette are hits then this is a fireable offense. Based on what we saw the Bills could have moved up to jump for Thomas. So that would be some egg on the face. In what the consensus says is the best WR draft in years. When the Bills need a WR and you end the first without one. I don’t know how that is a good thing. I only feel better if Mitchell is their guy and they grab him at 33.
  8. The Bills and McD continue to think they are the smartest people in the room. To me if Worthy turns into a stud (mahomes 2.0) it’s the final straw. We know better than everybody else because we have made the playoffs meanwhile sf and kc are repeat Super Bowl or at least champ week. But we make these mind boggling moves. Trade up for the 2nd best te but make a move in possibly one of the best wr drafts. We are smart yet I guess..,
  9. Please no Ladd. Just don’t see him being good in the nfl.
  10. I agree - add a legit WR and it adds 2-3 wins to the expectations.
  11. If you got a guy like Aiyuk as a plan a or plan b - then you can sit back at 28. If you get to 28 and all the names are gone you make the trade for Aiyuk and the swap is more of a sure thing for the much higher price tag. If you dont have an Aiyuk or similar for a back up plan you do whatever it takes to move up if needed to get your guy.
  12. Hamlin will be the only captain
  13. OMG. Players want to get paid. What is going on in Cinci...
  14. WR is most obvious need by far. Extremely strong wr draft. Bills will pick wr.
  15. I get the formation discussion but dont get the point that we dont need an X receiver. I may be taking liberties here, but most are referring more to the X as the #1 WR. The Bills do desperately need a #1 WR and that #1 is likely an X. But the NFL game has become much more dynamic than X lines up here, Y there, etc. Guys move around and your #1 will be in the slot, outside, in the backfield. Its all about creating mismatches. The Bills lack that guy (the traditional X) that teams will want to double team. WIthout it the Bills become a lot less dangerous. Nobody will be scared of Kincaid, Knox, Shakir, Samuels.
  16. It just shows why you need to draft a good one. Its becoming one of the harder and more expensive positions to fill in free agency.
  17. No Coleman and no S in the 1st. I am on the 1st round picks have to be QB, WR or Edge train.
  18. I do not expect any jail time etc. It will be a suspended license, probation, fines and community service. Kind of ridiculous if you think about it - because he got lucky no one died he does not end up like Ruggs. So the luck of the outcome is what is more important than the action. You should definitely get more severe punishment if someone dies...but if you do the exact same thing and no one dies it should not be the difference between many years in jail and nothing. That wont stop anyone from actually killing someone next time.
  19. The comparison is that he used to go work out in LA and was basically a full go year round. Now he is taking a lot more time off. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that. The first few years he had much more to work on so had to put in the work to get better. He is much more in maintain mode now with less focus on working on things. But that is doing less.
  20. Well some of it is based on Josh saying himself that getting rest in the offseason is what is most important to him. He takes time off until official practices start. But lets not take Josh word for it, the posters here know more about what he does.
