First draft pick - trade down and see 3 more WR's come off the board before we pick the 8th WR of the draft. Do not draft another WR. Top FA - After losing Diggs and Davis and we signed a guy not anywhere close to what is considered a top WR free agent type contract. Kincaid - That move was made last year when we needed another threat with Diggs, Davis, Shakir on this roster.

Because the Bills never do anything that leaves people wondering ?????

McDermott: "MVS & Samuel good chance of Week 1 return"
ngbills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like MVS is a shoe in to make the team then. Many seemed to think he was on the outside looking in. -
I think this is what a ton of people are feeling. We have arguably the best QB in the game but have been unable to get over the hump. It becomes harder to be sold on the same coach, less talent, teams around us getting better, yet this is our best year ahead? For me, an expectation of being in the Super Bowl has been replaced by hope. Maybe this can go right and we get there. Versus we should be there. We have done a good job at being a very good and respectable team. The only thing that could get high feeling back again would be something along the lines of getting CeeDee Lamb or a move that brings a legit threat to pair with Allen. Otherwise it is the wait and see how these pieces fit together.

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…

Bills offense has not scored a TD: It does not matter. It is preseason so nothing really matters. Teams are not game planning or showing the real stuff. Ray Davis has rushed for 60 yards on 13 carries. Trade Cook, we have found a future star in Davis. -
Postgame thread (8/17/24) - Bills at Steelers

Much of this is true. Though our 2nd qb has played a lot and it has not been good. As has our 1st string OL and that has been bas as well. -

Again, every team has random guys playing and could come up with an excuse. You would think even our back ups could score against other teams back ups. Could mean nothing. But it could also mean our depth is not great, preparation, playbook or coaching is not great. Hopefully it’s meaningless. -

No td in two games now. Player issue or OC issue? Maybe no issue. But common response is it’s just preseason. Didn’t realize it was preseason for the Bills and no one else. 15 points in two games puts them with the chargers, Steelers and panthers. Not a great group. -
Edwards has a $2.8M cap hit.
-
Cant ignore we are spending almost $6M on Rapp and Edwards. I take Simmons at $8M and some lower $ guys than the combo.

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM

Week one preseason revisits - Good news, bad news, meaningless news about our week one loss... Last year only two teams got blown out like the Bills did last week. One was the 49ers and the other was the Panthers. Super Bowl or worst record in the league or nothing to see here. -
Matt Milano had surgery for "significant bicep injury", out indefinitely
ngbills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is becoming a trend. poor decisions on the offensive side of the ball in many phases from players to coaching. While they focus on D and we are now seeing those decisions back fire - pay Milano and not Edmunds, Miller, Hyde/Poyer situation, White, Elam, Basham, AJE... -

So we are paying: $31M to Diggs to not be on the team $6M to White to not be on team $20M to Bates, Poyer, Hyde, Floyd, Harty, Morse to not be on team $15M to Miller to not exist $12M to Milano to be out until Dec Over $80M to players that potentially have zero impact on the season. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
ngbills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thats one way to look at it. Reality though is we beat Pitt, likely the worst AFC team in the playoffs, and scored 31 points with two drives starting near the Pitt 30 yard line. Was not the cleanest win as it should have been a blowout. KC played MIA and only scored 26 in a game that was never really in question. KC then beat the Bills. KC went on to play BAL and SF which drive the numbers down. So its a bit of reading too much in the numbers to say the Bills O was better in the playoffs. -

Better regular season or better playoffs and when it counts? Allen may have a higher ceiling and be more athletic. But Mahomes is better. -

Problem with these comparisons is it starts with: Reid > McD Mahomes > Allen Kelce > Kincaid/Knox Pacheco > Cook/Davis Who cares with all that if our WR's are as good as theirs. Plus Rice is likely better than any of our WR's. And guess what they did this offseason - added Brown and drafted Worthy. So clearly they care about having WR's. -
So many picks on RB's. So little to show for it.

Bills reached out to Peterman and he said he just could not show is face around town. But he did suggest his former back up Dinucci...

Ryan Tannehill is on a plane now...

Glad he is gone. This is football. We dont need intense guys that get all aggressive like that. Pushing each other around. We just want to sit around the campfire singing and making smores.

Vegas has Jets at +2000 and Bills at +1500. If you can guarantee a healthy roster for both teams you could see those odds flip. I still put my money on Bills and would never make that Jets bet. But if your looking for a realistic longshot bet I would say the Jets are not an awful choice. Rodgers stays healthy, OL is improved, the D will be solid. Stranger things have happened.

Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC
ngbills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is that the goal? Top 10 coach with a top 10 team. No super bowl appearances with the best all around QB in the league that plays like an alien. If he missed this list he should have been fired yesterday. It is expected he is a top 10, that is pretty meaningless.
