  1. Transition was referring to transition in leadership. Guys like Diggs, White, Hyde, Poyer, Morse were some of the vet leaders of this team and are now gone. In a way you can look at this is a challenge to Allen to step up as a leader. Maybe the draft of rookies and saying they were looking for leadership qualities was a shot at recent draft picks like Cook, Groot, Oliver, etc that they need to be leaders. I don't see transition as referring to talent because outside of Diggs the talent was replaceable.
  2. What talent have they lost? White has not contributed for a long time Hyde and Poyer both lost a few steps Diggs supposedly quit and is not the player he used to be Davis can’t catch and disappears all the time McG upgrades an aging Morse The handful of ST guys like Neal, Mata, etc can be replaced.
  3. I still think Dorsey was a scapegoat and because we won more games under Brady it is viewed as "Brady is better". But reality was we won games because the D played a lot better and we turned the ball over less. The O stats were not that different. The passing O definitely was worse with Brady, while rushing was better. But if you dig deeper much of the rushing improvement came via Allen's legs. Which because they were in much more desperation mode, I think they took the chains off Allen and let him run while during Dorsey's time in the early season they told Allen not to run. So since Brady was allowed to lean heavy on Allen it skews things. I am hopeful with an offseason Brady can put it together. But I dont think we can go a full 17 plus playoffs with the style he utilized with Allen as a bulldozer. He needs to get the passing game going much more than he was able to last year.
  4. WR Gallup to Raiders
  5. If the Bills traded for a top WR or had drafted one of the top 3 in this draft they definitely would be a favorite. Even as they stand now they have the 4th highest odds.
  6. There are quite a few names available. I try to pick up a couple WR - Tyler Boyd and somebody. Some decent DB's to be had as well - give me Simmons and Gilmore or Howard. Add some DL for our rotation to compete for a job. WR Tyler Boyd (Titans) OBJ (MIA) Michael Thomas Michael Gallup (Raiders) Corey Davis DJ Chark (Chargers) MVS (BUF) Hunter Renfrow Zay Jones (AZ) RB Joshua Kelly OL Connor Williams Donovan Smith Dalton Risner Andrus Peat (Raiders) D.J. Humphries David Bakhtiari S/CB Justin Simmons Stephon Gilmore Quandre Diggs Xavien Howard Adoree Jackson Jamal Adams Steven Nelson Micah Hyde Ahkello Witherspoon Patrick Peterson Eddie Jackson DL Calais Campbell Emmanuel Ogbah Lawrence Guy Yannick Ngakoue Tyus Bowser Markus Golden Bud Dupree (Chargers) Carl Lawson
  7. We dont need a #1 or a guy that wants targets. It will takeaway balls from spreading around to guys like Hollins, Hamler, Ty Johnson, etc.
  8. But, but they are paying Mahomes and Jones, Thuney, Taylor...how what why.
  9. So if your team used to be mediocre you should accept being really good but falling short? This team has been very close and with Allen can remain very close. The margin of error has been really small - like better coaching in the 13 second game, having a #2 WR, etc. If the Bills made a few different choices the team could have possibly one of a super bowl. McBeane has brought them close, but that does not mean you cant question if they can get them over the top.
  10. Well they inherited a disaster and had to rebuild an aging and overpaid roster that was in salary cap hell and then created in just a few years what many are calling an aging, overpaid roster that is in salary cap hell. All the while blew a few playoff games and have only been to the AFC champ game once with Allen at QB. Remember all these past years when the Bills did not sign available free agents because we dont want to be like the Rams etc and be in salary cap hell? How did that work out? Instead we created a bad cap situation with a bunch of overpaid aging players.
  11. And he was drafted in the 3rd round. A 4.6 WR will not be a top 10 pick.
  12. Not with a 4.6 40. That is just never gonna happen.
  13. The answer is essentially is there a guy your d needs to focus on, double or triple cover, game plan around etc. or can you just go plain vanilla. If you’re playing kc you plan around Kelce. That helps other guys. You can’t stop them all. Right now there is no one on on the bills other team needs to say oh no we better stop that that guy. Diggs demanded that kind of attention.
  14. Could have been taken by Cowboys, Detroit, Ravens, 49ers or any other team wanting to trade up for him. I could see ravens and 49ers not trading with chiefs. So highly likely they don’t get him.
  15. Mitchell over Coleman in 2nd Franklin or McMillan in 3rd Rice in 6th/7th other stuff is fine.
  16. Bingo. You see this be all the time. Jones in kc sat out a game and it was puppy dogs and rainbows after winning a Super Bowl again.
  17. So does Diggs 99% of the time. It’s is so dumb to say this nonsense like Diggs can’t make that play. Shi$ happens.
  18. Older players that can be replaced. We are fine at the positions that matter and just needed a Wr to still be a Super Bowl favorite. Let’s not sell this like Allen is gone or our LT etc. Many of the guys that left this year excluding Diggs were almost not brought back last year. We let aging vets walk not young guys we could not resign.
  19. That is why they needed a good wr in any of the last few drafts. Diggs is either a cancer or was in the decline. But we don’t need a plan. Makes no sense. That is the issue. Not Diggs.
  20. It was widely discussed as the best wr class in a long time. That was the narrative. It was what all the scouts and professionals that get paid have said. So the Bills are not better than the 2019 version? That lost to HOU after sneaking in the playoffs. That is crazy talk. If that is true McD and Beane should be fired for destroying a roster with Allen as your qb.
  21. Coleman replaced Davis. Samuel replaced Harty. So yes.
  22. With a worse roster we traded a 1st for Diggs. Now with a Super Bowl contender we trade Diggs and in a potentially once in a decade WR draft we don’t make a move.
  23. How many offseason in a row has wr been a need?
  24. Then you do what it takes to move up and grab at least one of the top 4 if not top 3. This was the time to sell out and get into the top 10. We have cap space next season and could used free agency and not have a 1st rounder. Heck we didn’t use a first this year so what is the difference?
  25. Coleman, Bishop, Davis, Carter could be the only guys that make the roster.
