Rams in talks with 3 teams to trade Brandin Cooks

I expected this to be the case. He's the best realistic target for us IMO. Would be very happy to bring him in. -
There's roughly 60 RBs that play 25% or more of their team's snaps each year. Of those: 2019: Howard: 48th in catch %, 50th in yards per target Teammate: 29th in catch %, 9th in yards per target Singletary: 51st in catch %, 53rd in yards per target 2018: Howard: 47th in catch %, 41st in yards per target Teammate: 28th in catch %, 7th in yards per target 2017: Howard: 44th in catch %, 56th in yards per target Teammate: 26th in catch %, 42nd in yards per target

Man Cousins has done super well for himself. Basically a fully guaranteed $66 million with the way it's structured unless things go horribly wrong next year.

Would prefer Freeman over Howard due to him being able to catch the ball coming out of the backfield but neither one is necessarily my top choice. Howard's a pretty good runner but that's it; he'd make our offense more predictable.

My issue with him is he's pretty much purely a two-down player and I'd prefer our vet RB to be the 3rd down guy since that's an area where Singletary struggled as a rookie and rookies in general struggle with it. But Philly fans didn't like him because Philly's coaching staff did like him and that meant less touches for their heartthrob Miles Sanders.

They've traded away all of their picks (which is why the idea of a Hopkins trade is even being mentioned) and they're nowhere near being a Super Bowl contender. O'Brien is a fine coach (though he makes terrible in-game decisions too frequently, as evidenced by the wacky ending to our playoff game) but his team-building has left a lot to be desired.

Free Agency News and Updates - around the league

Technically, Gordon remains banned from the NFL despite the new drug testing rules. He has to apply for reinstatement and there's no guarantee the commish lets him back in the league. -
The only positive of this deal for Tennessee is that they can get out of this deal in a couple years.

Jags trade Calais to balt for a 5th

I would love to have Clowney. As for Phillips/Lawson, it’s questionable whether or not Phillips is a starting caliber player in this league and Shaq is just adequate. Again, Campbell is arguably the best in the league at his position. Incredible run defender and generates a lot of pressure. -

I’m not freaking out about our team, but to answer your question, he might be the best in the league at his position. We may be able to find a long term fit but we won’t find a more talented player. This just isn’t true. -

It’s a one year deal. The only potential downside to trading for him would be the opportunity cost of spending $15 million of our cap space on him but he’s literally one of the best players in the league at his position so we probably couldn’t have done any better. -

It’s possible but they play different positions so not necessarily. And they most likely can find a trade partner for Judon if need be. -

Internally there’s some love for Tee Higgins

The times start with a hand and end with a laser so presumably in these cases the hand guy started a little too early. -
Should Jonathan Taylor be in play at 22?

Those numbers are the timestamps measuring the difference between when he started and when he finished -

On a semi-related note, there’s a guy on Twitter that’s been going through the NFL Combine runs frame by frame and calculating exact 40 times and basically, he’s arguing that for example, Reagor actually ran a 4.40, not a 4.47. Weird stuff. -

That one isn’t adjusting for height though. There’s a formula for HASS (height adjusted speed score) that’s basically one step further than the formula you used but the official formula isn’t publicly available from what I can tell. We can replicate it to be within a point or so but that’s the best I’ve been able to find. I also wasn’t including a few of the guys on that list. Watkins, Juwan Johnson, and i think one or two others. The list I’m looking at is all the guys that are included in PFF’s draft guide since it allows me to look at a combination of stats, metrics, and measureables that I don’t have for some of those guys. -

See the third tab here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EGcKt-3OhHND7shQmY9LREGwBxtnUcFwQtQDz2U-3tk Higgins’ speed score isn’t listed because PlayerProfiler.com (who calculates the speed score) doesn’t use pro day numbers and the formula I’ve found for it isn’t exactly correct, but it’s close enough to know Higgins would be somewhere around a 106 give or take a point. -

Yes, speed score is adjusted for height and weight. He’s somewhere around a 106 which places him behind Claypool, Mims, Ruggs, Pittman, and Peoples-Jones -

The 4.54 was the official time according to Clemson which places him like 6th in this draft class in terms of speed score.
