I'm not saying the Bucs are going to be great by any means, but there's definitely a lot of talent there. The reason Winston was under duress was because Arians' offense takes a long time for plays to develop. Depending on whose opinion you value, they ranged anywhere from like 7th-17th best pass blocking team in the league last year and it should be better this upcoming season assuming they actually take one of the tackles. Basically every position group on the team played well last year with the exception of the RBs, K, safeties and the extremely uneven play of Jameis. I think the major question if Brady signs there is how smooth the transition is offensively. It's not a guarantee that it all clicks into place just because he'd have great pieces around him; those pieces were playing a likely very different style than what will be required with Brady. The other major question is how much of the defensive play was a fluke or not.

Their C and guards were among the best in the league last year and they'll likely be taking one of the stud tackles with their 1st round pick.

I don't think we can assume that at all yet. In fact, I would say it's probably unlikely.

I like this a lot. Think the price was slightly higher than I would have expected, but honestly not surprised he cost at least a 1st. Great WR on a great contract long-term. Makes a lot of sense for us; he checks every box we've been missing. We have 2 years to figure out if Josh Allen is the guy or not and with this trade, we know for a fact that (barring injuries) he won't have any excuses if he doesn't show significant improvement these next two years. If Allen thrives, the trade was worth it because we paired him with a great WR that helped him take the next step in his development. If he fails, the trade was worth it because it tells us without a doubt that we need a new QB. Relying on a rookie WR to step in from Day 1 and be the #1 or #2 guy was clearly a risk that Beane didn't want to take. Can't say I blame him at all for feeling that way, especially when the alternative is bringing in a great young WR at an affordable salary.

It's possible that this results in Trent being cut, but that would just create the need for another pass rusher again. Shaq out, Addison in, at least for now.

I would say Byron is elite. Xavien is just good though.
