Matt Miller's new mock: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2808985-2019-nfl-mock-draft-matt-millers-latest-picks-entering-final-month-of-season

You don't need to use the savings on another pass-rusher. Buffalo has like 10 draft picks that can be used while spending that $5 million on another much-needed position. Murphy currently rates as the 75th best edge defender out of 107 that qualify per PFF. There are 6 rookies rated ahead of him this season. If you insist on using the $5 million on another edge guy, just in the range from guys rated #50-75 (where Murphy is), there are 13 guys being paid less than $5 million, so we're probably talking about at least 20-30 of them in total.

Yeah, it's CJ. I want to see the picture of him is from one of the games against Duke or Georgetown but I don't remember for sure. I made this avatar in Photoshop a long time ago now. And yeah, the team has been rough for sure. I thought we were being overhyped the whole time anyways, so I'm not super surprised, but it is a little disappointing to more or less look like the same team we had a year ago.

I'm not sure i understand the logic behind "We already have ____ cap space, why get more?" The answer is pretty simple. You can save $5 million by cutting Murphy and then sign someone significantly cheaper that will likely produce more. The amount of cap space that Buffalo already has should not be a factor in the decision at all. You're not cutting Murphy because you need cap space; you're cutting Murphy because he's more expensive than alternative options and also likely inferior to those cheaper options. The same is likely true in the case of LeSean McCoy and Charles Clay as well. The Bills should cut them, not because they need to clear more cap space, but because they can replace them with better players at a better price point.

Of the 55 RBs that have at least 65 carries this year, McCoy ranks 38th in terms of highest percentage of runs with 8+ in the box, meaning that he's facing 8+ in the box less than most.

I'm a bit torn. Ethically, I'd love for the NFL to just kick out guys that can't behave themselves. Therefore, from that perspective, I would not want Buffalo to pick him up. Having said that, it appears that the NFL has zero interest in doing that, as there are countless examples of far worse people (at least based on what we currently know) being able to continue playing in the NFL. From that perspective, not picking up Hunt is simply the Bills being willing to miss out on a great player that someone else will not miss out on. On top of being a great player, his contract is absolutely tiny, so from a football perspective, he'd be a fantastic value. I voted no, and I think I'm ultimately comfortable with missing out on him, but it it is semi-tempting to just go for it and hope that he keeps himself clean moving forwards. His skillset and contract are both highly enticing and I am someone that believes in second chances.

I don’t think he pushed either of them the second time honestly. It looks like he’s just trying to break free from whoever was holding him back and that was bringing his momentum towards the hallway. Then the woman pushes his friend backwards and the two of them happened to collide. And since the guy was already off balance, it made him stumble into the woman who was then knocked over since she had her back turned at that point. Hunt obviously initially pushed her before he was restrained and obviously lightly kicked her at the end, but most physical part of the altercation looks like it was an accident to me. If you slow the video down, it doesn’t look like he’s even looking at his friend or the woman when he knocks them over, and it doesn’t really make sense that he would want to push his own friend anyways (though nothing about this whole thing really makes logical sense to begin with).

I'm still catching up on the thread, but in case nobody responded to your question, there is no relationship between them. She was just a woman that (according to her side of the story) one of Hunt's friends wanted to hook up with and she said no and was kicked out of the room. Hunt's side of the story is that (I think I remember this from way back when this story first came out) they found out she was underage and couldn't be drinking, so they asked her to leave, she called him the n-word, and then the events that happened in the hallway happened.

Is Vander Eshe to Edmunds the same as Juju to Zay
DCOrange replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think LVE is significantly better in coverage right now. In fact, I think that's one of Edmunds' weaknesses at the moment. FWIW, LVE is ranked as the 3rd best linebacker in the league in pass coverage per PFF. Edmunds ranks 74th out of 82. -

Yep, he's one spot ahead of Vander Esch (for now, PFF hasn't updated for last night's performance yet). -

For those keeping score, Vander Esch (before last night's great performance) was ranked as the #6 LB in the league per PFF. Edmunds is #71 out of 82. Having said that, I think this is a little different (though I didn't really love the Edmunds trade-up either). I think it was pretty easy to see that Zay was not the best WR on the board even at the time, and that's only proven to be true as things have gone on. It's not just Juju either. There were a bunch of other options at that point in the draft that would have been better than Zay too. My only real issue with getting Edmunds is that I just don't fundamentally believe in trading up early in the draft in almost any situation. -

So where do you guys think we'll be drafting?
DCOrange replied to Victory Formation's topic in College Football
I'm guessing the 8-10 range if we don't trade down. -
LeVeon Bell: What better fit for him than Buffalo?
DCOrange replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously he wouldn't be a feature back or anything, but they're already giving him handoffs as is. There's no reason they couldn't line him up in the backfield out of the shotgun and do some fun stuff with him. Having a WR with his speed that can motion out of the backfield and potentially be mismatched on LBs would be a nice way to weaponize him IMO. He's the same size as Tavon Austin, who has done the same thing from time to time. -

That I do agree with. My guess is that the Jets and Raiders are the teams to watch here but I know other people in the media (and Leveon himself in the case of Indy) have said to watch out for Indy and Green Bay. If I were in Beane's shoes, I'd probably consider signing a guy like Tevin Coleman (probably a pretty large contract in his own right), Alex Collins (hopefully cheap-ish after this season), or Malcolm Brown (cheap flyer on a guy that's been productive behind Gurley), and then go out and draft a RB like Darrell Henderson or Matt Colburn in the 3rd-7th round range (Henderson towards the front of that range or Colburn in the back half). I'd also like to see Buffalo potentially utilize Isaiah McKenzie out of the backfield next season as a Ty Montgomery-type of play. -
How much more mileage is left on the Shady chasis?

McCoy's rankings in total tackles avoided and tackles avoided per attempt over the years: 2018 (out of 60): 37th, 48th - below average or bad depending on which metric you use 2017 (out of 58): 14th, 39th - great or below average depending on which metric you use 2016 (out of 49): 5th, 11th - great 2015 (out of 55): 9th, 16th - great 2014 (out of 58): 10th, 34th - great or below average depending on which metric you use 2013 (out of 66): 3rd, 13th - elite 2012 (out of 62): 6th, 4th - elite 2011 (out of 72): 2nd, 15th - elite 2010 (out of 70): 29th, 41st - above or below average depending on which metric you use 2009 (out of 77): 38th, 35th - slightly above average Maybe these last two seasons are just a fluke like 2014 was, but it doesn't look great IMO. -
LeVeon Bell: What better fit for him than Buffalo?

I'm not so sure honestly. I know Florio, who you quoted below, disagrees. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/11/16/yes-odds-are-available-for-leveon-bells-next-contract/ Florio says he would expect a 3 year, $54-60 million deal fully guaranteed -
For reference as far as stadium costs and stuff go, the Las Vegas Raiders stadium is expected to cost roughly $1.8 billion. And for what it's worth, I only know this because I'm a Milwaukee Bucks fan, but when they built their new stadium this past year, the stadium cost $500 million, half of which came from the public. This amounted to roughly 62 cents on their taxes. There will certainly be a way for Buffalo to make a new stadium happen without inflicting much harm on taxpayers.

The different angles would be great if they actually used them for more than just replays. A view in which you can actually see the play developing would make it so much more enjoyable IMO. Like I said, no other sport is similar to the way that football prevents you from seeing where a play is going.

I actually think football is the worst sport to watch on TV in terms of actually watching the game. I prefer football over baseball or hockey for example, so I'd rather watch football, but if for example we're talking about a person that enjoys every sport equally, I think football is the worst because of the fact that the TV angle is so brutal. You can never see where a pass is intended to go or anything. It blows my mind that in today's age we're still stuck with the same awful TV angle for football; no other sport strips you of the ability to see the field when you're watching a game the way that football does.
