  1. Lol this is never going to happen.
  2. Buffalo doesn't NEED the cap space, but I simply think they can upgrade at RB by moving on from him, so yes, I would have traded him if they could get an asset at the deadline. I think Philly may have finally realized that Josh Adams is a better runner now than McCoy is though. At any rate, IMO, Buffalo should cut McCoy in the offseason assuming they're unable to trade him.
  3. Again, refer to my last sentence in which I said I'm not sure Allen, Darnold, or Rosen are better passers right now either. All 3 of those guys have been objectively bad passers this season. Lamar has statistically been better than all of them even after removing all rushing numbers. Obviously it's a small sample size with all of them and an even smaller sample size with Lamar, but the only reason I'm feeling any less confident in ranking Lamar as my #1 QB prospect last offseason is because Baker has been better than advertised IMO. The other 3 haven't done anything to make me feel less confident in taking Lamar over them.
  4. They can make Bortles a post 6/1 cut and then it's "only" like $11 mil in dead cap for next season. Releasing those four gets Jacksonville to $11-12 million in cap space according to Spotrac. If they feel the need to clear more space, they could look at another defensive guy like Malik Jackson or Barry Church; they both rank among the worst in the league at their positions this year. Church would clear up over $6 mil and Jackson over $11 mil.
  5. I like Harry a lot, but I don't think he should be expected to be the #1 right away, or at least not in the traditional sense. Traditionally, when you talk about a #1 WR, you're referring to the split end or X receiver (aka the guy that lines up on the line of scrimmage and fights press coverage). I don't think Harry is ready to do that in the NFL at the moment; maybe he improves in the offseason and adds that to his arsenal. He certainly has the physical tools to be that guy. But right now, I think he's a flanker/Z guy; he's not really great at fighting press coverage right now but he's a massive threat when he's lined up off the LOS. I think guys like DK Metcalf, Collin Johnson, and Deebo Samuel are more ready for the role of being the X receiver right now.
  6. The reason I had Lamar as my #1 QB in the class and still do is because his running ability is so insanely special that even being a below average passer should be enough for him to be a good starting QB. With the exception of Baker, I don't think any of the other rookies are significantly better throwing the ball than Lamar is right now. In fact, I'm not sure they're better at all.
  7. Before the draft, I had Lamar and Darnold rated ahead of Allen. Now, I would take Lamar and Mayfield ahead of Allen. I'd take Allen over Darnold now though, and have always preferred him over Rosen.
  8. For next season, the only piece on defense that seems like they definitely will lose is Dareus. They'll cut him. The rest of the cap shavings will likely come on offense if I had to guess. Bortles, Carlos Hyde, and Sefarian-Jenkins all appear to be locks to be released at this point.
  9. I'd probably lean towards the freedom that Buffalo has now in terms of all the cap space and draft assets that they have. I'm not super confident that McBeane will use the assets correctly though. We very well may be two years away from being in the Jaguars position.
  10. Ultimately I think Bell is a Jet. Don’t really expect Indy or Buffalo to make a run at him personally and the Jets will open the checkbook for him.
  11. New mock from Benjamin Solak, one of my favorite draft writers: https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/11/26/solak-mock-draft-3-0/ Bills picks:
  12. His arm is significantly stronger than Peterman's though, which is one of, if not the biggest issue Peterman has. Having said that, as much as I wanted to like Thorson, I don't really see it either. He has some tools and has some mobility, but he seems like a pretty blah prospect to me. He's supposedly pretty renowned for his leadership/personality though; I remember the stuff I was reading a year or two ago about him made him sound like someone that I could see McDermott being interested in. Don't think that's an issue at this point with Allen in the fold though.
  13. Signing Bell isn't my preferred route, but I would understand if Buffalo recognizes their need for weapons and signs what appears to be the best weapon available. Depending on how they structure the contract, I think I'd be okay with biting the bullet on him. I'm not sure I like his fit behind this lackluster OLine though. I'd probably prefer to just draft someone/maybe pair the rookie with a young guy that they sign in free agency ala Tevin Coleman, Alex Collins, or Malcolm Brown.
  14. They did sign Graham this offseason, and this could also change if Green Bay overhauls its front office/coaching staff as people seem to expect.
  15. I remember this exact discussion a year or two ago and somebody proposed the "reverse touchback". Offense keeps the ball since the defense didn't recover it, but the offense gets moved back to the 20 yard line and the down counts, so if the fumble occurs on 2nd and goal for example, it's now 3rd and goal from the 20 yard line.
  16. I think his passing has maybe been slightly worse than I expected (I was really high on him for the past two or three years now), but I continue to think that a guy with his intangibles and physical tools is the exact type of gamble I like to take when it comes to QBs. Freakish tools with the passion and desire to improve = a guy I'm happy to take a chance on.
  17. Brees will win, but I think Mahomes has a stronger case than people are giving him credit for. Having probably the best running game in the NFL is a huge help to Brees (though he's undeniably been incredible this year). Anywho, I think Brees deserves it, and considering his age and the fact that he's never won, he'll get it barring a collapse down the stretch. But I think Mahomes means roughly as much to his team as Brees does to his. I'd probably go with Luck as a distant 3rd.
  18. I think taking a QB on Day 3 this year would be fine and probably wise. I don't see them spending a Day 1 or 2 pick on a QB until at least next year though. There's too many other areas that need upgrading.
  19. He probably did just quit on the route, but I actually think it was a good thing for him to do so (though he probably did not realize it when he did it). Zay was wide open, and by Benjamin basically stopping, it basically took his man out of the play so that Zay had more space to turn up the field. Likewise I think Holmes should have sat down on his route in the first clip. He was wide open over the middle and instead basically ran into the coverage.
  20. The year before roughly half the NBA teams "lost money" simply because they purposefully spend money elsewhere so that they can claim they're losing money.
  21. I imagine this is probably similar to the NBA, where basically no NBA team outside of the Lakers is "profitable" but if they ever wanted to be, all of them could be. Certainly college programs could scrub their budgets to find a couple more hundred dollars to get a few more jackets.
  22. Boyd has one more year left
  23. They've been to at least 3 games that the public knows about. Of course Alabama has like 40 future NFL players on their roster so it's anyone's guess if they were there because they're interested in Jonah or not (though I imagine they probably are).
  24. That would just lead me to question why they can't afford a few more jackets lol. These programs are making boatloads of money every year and they supply players with all sorts of other types of apparel; seems weird that they'd skimp out on just one item.
  25. Seems like a bad look for both guys. Obviously Oliver wayyy overreacted here but it also seems like a dumb rule that only active players are allowed to stay warm lol.
