  1. I understand what you are saying, but it doesn't get much more disastrous than putting Mills out there.
  2. I think it's one of those assumed things. If a tight end sucks and can't catch, it's assumed he is a good blocker and that is typically wrong. This does not just happen with Clay, it happens everywhere. It's like the White defensive end...of course he is high motor, grinder, lunch pail, unathletic. Usually just assumed things.
  3. Yeah my I initial thought was Miami. They are going to suck anyway so Allen can rack up some stats while helping Flores establish his culture with the team ala Mike Tolbert.
  4. I want to trade Zay Jones to the Chargers for Forrest Lamp and sign Crowder to be my slot guy. Carolina liked him pre-draft as well. He was in their backyard.
  5. John Miller is one of the worst guards in the league and one of the worst I have ever seen play. Like "Colin Brown replacing Andy Levitre" bad. He will not be back.
  6. What about Aaron Hernandez? Oh wait...
  7. As a receiver, he was more productive than Charles Clay last year.
  8. Oh lord that seems a bit high. Perhaps they are planning to expand his role? He does double as a fullback, but split time with Maxx Williams, Andrews, and Hirsch. I think he has some upside as a receiver, but kinda yuck. I'm curious what the guaranteed number is, and I think Jesse James certainly gets more.
  9. I actually liked a lot of what I saw from Teller, and honestly I liked what I saw from Ike Boettger in the small sample. Here's the thing though, Ryan Groy and Jordan Mills suck and Dion Dawkins struggled. I think, if you put better players around these guys, we will see better play. But Teller is athletic and really strong and should have been drafted higher than the fifth round. He was a steal there. He is a better prospect than I think a lot of people think. I think he would go in the third round in this draft class, as there are only a handful of guards I like better. That said he is a work in progress. I see this offseason going one of two ways 1. Sign a center like Paradis or Morse and a RT like Williams or James. Having those two guys on the line would set you up with Teller and Long as you guards with a guy like Boettger competing. 2. Sign a guard like Saffold or Quentin Spain and a RT like Williams or James. What that does is forces you to go with Bodine or Long at center and puts Teller/Boettger/draft pick in a three way competition for the right guard spot. It isn't ideal, but playing next to a better RT would help. Obviously you could draft a guy, or trade for a guy like Forrest Lamp. Ideally, you sign Morse/Paradis, Saffold/Spain, and Williams/James, and trade for Forrest Lamp but I am not sure how realistic it is to get a center, guard, and RT in free agency. That would put Teller/Lamp/Long/Boettger/Draft pick in a competition for the RG spot, which is a really good place to be. Dream scenario is getting a center, guard and RT. Something like: LT - Dawkins LG - Saffold/Spain C - Morse/Paradis RG - Lamp/Long/Teller/Boettger RT - James/Williams
  10. I'd say Frederick, Hudson and Alex Mack are in a league of their own. Next you have Jason Kelce, Brandon Linder, Pouncey brothers, Max Unger. Then I think Paradis, Morse, Ryan Kelly are kind of that next tier. I think Paradis is overrated and I strongly prefer Morse, but I'd love to have either. Both are huge upgrades. Our competition for Paradis imo includes the Jets, Cardinals, Vikings, Ravens. Paradis is connected to Gase, Kubiak, and Cards o line coach Sean Kulger. For Morse I think we are looking at competition from the Texans, Dolphins, etc. Morse is from Austin and is close with his disabled brother who lives there. Next tier of free agency at center, I had my eye on BJ Finney, but he got a second round tender from the Steelers as a RFA. Nick Easton is pretty good but coming off an injury. I think Pat Elflein could be available via trade as well. So I am really hoping for Paradis or Morse.
  11. I don't really believe in PFF stuff, especially when it comes to linemen. I think they are comparable and Saffold wouldn't cost a draft pick.
  12. Id say he's pretty smart. If he's been able to make a lucrative career out of doing absolutely nothing and spewing conjecture, hell man I feel like an idiot for working my ass off everyday.
  13. Man just wait till next week and the legal tampering period.
  14. I think I'd rather try to sign Saffold for that type of money.
  15. I prefer the upside of Chris Conley honestly. I hope we pursue him.
  16. Great point. Also the Panthers loved him pre-draft. There was a lot of talk that they were going to take him at the end of the first round that year, but the Texans beat them to it.
  17. Agreed on that point. It honestly is his only red flag, but it is a big one. But the upside is huge imo and I think he's worth the risk. He'd be amazing for Allen in setting protections an things of that nature. He literally anchors the offense.
  18. Haha yes. I'd be ecstatic with either for sure!
  19. Morse is younger, bigger, faster, stronger, and a former college left tackle,. He has the all around better pedigree. I'd settle for Paradis, but I think Morse is the better player. In all fairness, I have watched Morse than Paradis, but I think Paradis is a zone only center.
  20. We have the advantage of lots of cap space that they don't have. But this does sound like the usual conjecture from LaConfora. That said, fingers crossed it happens. I want Morse, Williams, Jesse James.
  21. I like James too. I just want us to do whatever we have to do so we don't use our top ten pick on a right tackle. Whether that's Williams, James, Trent Brown whomever. A key move like that kind of unlocks the rest of the offseason. If we can corral a RT, a C, and a TE, everything changes.
  22. If you really want to get crazy, Kenny Stills, who I really like, could be cut or traded. He played with Phillips at Oklahoma and in Miami. Stills would be a great fit for the Josh Allen skill set. But yeah im assuming Daryl Williams is the guy. Geneo Grissom, former Patriot, is also a guy who could be a depth end who is a former Sooner teammate. But I just love Phillips' passion and zeal.
  23. I'm guessing and hoping he is recruiting Daryl Williams. They were teammates at Oklahoma.
  24. I think I'd rather have Daryl Williams than Saffold. But I want Morse and another guy. I'll take Saffold, Spain, Cann, James, Williams, whomever.
