Dolphins trade for OT Isaiah Wilson [Edit: now cut him]
Motorin' replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More like Andre can I borrow 35 cent. -
Value is perception. I would only consider trading Edmonds if I was getting a 1 plus. So Edmonds for #19 and swap our 5th for WFT 4th. If the salary cap weren't reduced, I don't think it would make sense to contemplate.

McShay- Bills trying to move up above 23 for Etienne

I think people are missing the weapon he is as a receiver. He can put up Cole Beasley numbers. -

In 12 games last year ETN had 48 receptions and 588 yards, over 16 games that extrapolates to 64 receptions and nearly 800 yards. He's a threat catching passes out of the backfield... I get that we are a downfield passing team. But KC figured out how to hem us in, and they were able to do so by ignoring the flats. You can not ignore ETN, he will kill you. You have to defend him, which then helps to open the downfield passing lanes. -
Yeah, but not just government steered. The government owns many of the highest valued and highest performing corporations. And so the government has massive revenue as a result. It's state owned capitalism, which is not at all bloated, incomplete bureaucracy.

Our foreign debt, while not insignificant, pales in comparison to the total amount of debt held by US banks. US banks which are publicly traded and owned by a variety of stock holders, hedge funds and holding companies. And who have been granted authority by the US Congress to create US currency by loaning it into existence. China on the other hand owns all of it's banks, and therefore owns the trillions of dollars of assets and hundreds of billions of annual revenue. While we are approaching 60 Trillion total owed to US banks ( Federal, state and local governments, + private and corporate debt) all of China's domestic debt owed to Chinese banks becomes revenue of the nation.

Talk to me about China's banking system. Who owns their largest banks, how much revenue do they generate and how much assets do they hold?

1988 Buffalo Bills -1st Division Title since ‘80

I definitely remember Jimbo grabbing Boroughs by the collar and giving him the business on the sidelines during a game. That press conference definitely happened where Jim called out House, but Dereck Boroughs was definitely in the middle of the Bickering Bills BS. Edit: getting old sucks! I was thinking of Chris Burkett that Kelly roughed up a bit on the sidelines. -
The stats didn't tell the story. Not only was Josh never and inaccurate QB, he was making pin point accurate throws of the highest difficulty at Wyoming that most NFL qb's can't make. His issue was missing way too many throws due to inconsistent and lackadaisical mechanics on the easiest throws. Still marveling at this:

Are sports’ drafts fair to the players?
Motorin' replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In North America. In European sports the pro teams recruit players from a very early age to their youth academies, and they start getting paid as early as 13 years old. Players can chose to move to other teams, but their current team negotiates a transfer fee. For instance, when Stefan Diggs wanted out of Minnesota, he would have had much more control over where he went. As long as Minnesota and the team agree on the fee transfer and the new team and Diggs agree on the contract. In Diggs case, the Bills would have had to pay Minn probably 40-50 million for his rights. Instead of letting free agents leave, teams sell their rights. Probably could have gotten 15 million for Shaq Lawson and maybe 20 mil for Jordan Phillips. Teams are constantly trying to woo players under contract away from other teams, and the market for player transfer can be steep. So there's no drafts. Each team has their own youth farm teams, and buy and sell players rights. -

Funny story, a year or two ago a friend of mine with a teenage daughter (14ish) is taking her clothes shopping. The girl gets excited about literal old school mom jeans. The mom is like, wouldn't you prefer skinny jeans? And the girl says "yuck, I'm not wearing mom jeans." -

Jesus, it's a ad saying they have a higher quality product that will last longer. So you should by it cause it's better, and if you buy their product you'll also help the environment because you aren't buying disposable clothing. If you don't see how that ad could motivate sales then you're probably just mad that the company is able to generate sales by saying it cares about the environment. Maybe global warming deniers won't buy a brand that claims to care about the environment. But most people want to believe they are helping the environment when participating in consumerism. Even if it's total BS. -
I'm surprised they haven't already. And I'm not saying that they are looking to replace him. But it is always a possibility that they see a prospect in the draft who might be an upgrade or a wash, which would give them significant cap space to bring in one big time free agent either this year or next. The problem, if there is one, is the unexpected shrinking cap.

Which defensive scheme would you prefer?
Motorin' replied to Arm of Harm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same, but he had Jerry Hughes and Kyle Williams in their prime with Mario Williams and Dareus. That front 4 could wreck anybody. McD's defense is doesn't have the same talent and ability to get pressure with just 4. -
I don't think anyone on this board is obtaining power. But I applaude your actions to recognize the importance of diversity and actually doing something about it. I try to live my life focused on solutions, which requires trying to see what needs all sides have... But I can also get dragged into arguing with people who come off to me as bad actors. It's probably a lizard brain thing.

Gabriel Davis - Post TD Celebration
Motorin' replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is pitching the ball a football move, thus completing the catch? Still not sure exactly what the catch rule is now. Watched some old Bills games from the 80's and early 90's recently, and it was a catch if a player had possession of the ball for a single micro second while both feet were down. There were plays in one game where the defender knocks the ball free like .2 seconds after the wr caught it. Since both feet were on the ground it was immediately ruled a fumble. -
Number changes on the horizon with new rule proposal?
Motorin' replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never understood why wr's and rb's couldn't wear single digits. But wr's wearing 20-40's and rb's wearing 80's don't make no kinda sense. -
Potential Hint to Draft Priorities?

A 1st round CB will most likely start, pushing Levi Wallace to cb 4.
