  1. Many posters don't seem to understand the Bills organizational structure. McDermott does not report to Beane. Both McD and Beane report directly to Terry Pegula. So all these calls for Beane to replace Frazier or Dorsey and so forth are just nonsense. The coaching staff is McDermott's call, not Beane's.
  2. Everyone knew at that point that he was headed for a Cam Newton-like career. A shame really.
  3. The bias of this coaching staff against rookies seems to get worse each year. Elam would effectively be a "second year guy" by now if they had just let him play and learn throughout the season. They are finally starting to see the light with Cook. Maybe Dorsey will even dial up a pass to him this week.
  4. Wait, aren't you going to include his skinned knee in 8th grade?
  5. He'll be gone well before 14, I think.
  6. I think you are on to something here. But is it the Cool Blue Raspberry or Glacier Freeze flavor? If we can figure that out, I think we can confirm Hyde's return date.
  7. He'll be 31 next season...not sure that's the path they need to go.
  8. I'd be shocked if it's held in a college stadium. 1) NFL has specific standards for stadiums around locker rooms, lighting etc. Of course major college is top notch too, but it's not NFL 'certified'. 2) The NFL will want this to benefit one of the owners or NFL cities, not a college. 3) It's one thing for Ann Arbor or State College to host 100,000 people for a game with a significant chunk of them being students and 'locals'. But for this game it would be 100,000 out of towners. Imagine the logistics and hotel capacity challenges!
  9. Good review except I disagree on Edmunds. He had the pick fall to him late but otherwise he was a day late and a dollar short on most plays.
  10. junior year slump...this was year 3
  11. Why not? Call-ups for the playoffs are unlimited.
  12. Maybe someone has already suggested this...but I'd like to see the responders on the field who attended to Hamlin be recognized before the game on Sunday. They were faced with the ultimate "critical play" and did their jobs, apparently, about as well as anyone could do it.
  13. I hope it's Marlowe. Might be J. Johnson.
  14. I think the stressor with Everett was more "Is our brother going to be paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life" by two days after the game. (thank God he was not). Different situations of course but both very distressing.
  15. I have girls too. One played ice hockey, one is very into Equestrian. We know hockey has dangers but let me tell you nothing is more terrifying that your kid riding on the back of an unpredictable 1500lbs animal as it jumps over hurdles. She had a serious concussion once and has hurt her shoulder as well. Yet...I wouldn't dream of trying to stop her from riding. It's her passion.
  16. For anyone criticizing or questioning why the Bills (or at least, most of them) would fly back to Buffalo...remember they planned to fly back tonight, not stay in a hotel. Consider the 53 active players + inactives + coaches + trainers and equipment and press...must be 100 people. How are you going to book rooms for 100 people, surely at multiple hotels, and move all the stuff and deal with the fact no one packed to stay...and for what? They cannot go to the hospital. They want to be near family and each other and pray and wait for news. They're in an unprecedented situation as a team and will deal with it as best they can.
  17. Snortin' Norton and the Morning Circus Band circa 1991...I still have the CD!
  18. Eh, maybe. Guaranteed money for a few high end QB's isn't the end game there.
  19. Yeah, his point makes absolutely no sense.
  20. Dobbs >>> Willis at this point in their careers. Dobbs will give them a shot vs. Jacksonville, although I think the Jaguars should win it anyway.
