  1. Not all day. But they did keep a LB or dropping Dlineman frequently in the middle of the field. I hope they keep that Chan style 5 wide/empty set in the gameplan for the Pats game. TE or slot guy drags the middle open if josh wants to run. He didnt need to today but I like that new formation. We ran it like 4 or 5 times. Daboll trusting the kid more and more.
  2. If u have directv just call in and tell em youre temporarily moving to rochester for a month and taking your dish n receiver with you. Pick out any Roch ir Buff address from whitepages.com and have them change your installation address on your account to that address. Obviously you aren't going to move any equipment but they don't know that nor do they care. In a few minutes you will begin getting Rochester locals and can watch the game. I have done this on many occasions. When you call DirecTV you need to ask for the dish movers program. Make sure you tell them you already installed the dish on the house, you just need them to send a download to your receiver so that you can receive the Rochester locals. I got around blackouts forever using the same system.
  3. I thought the Brownies were taking Saquon 1st and then best available qb at 4. They hit homers with Baker and Denzel Ward though, both game changing players already playing at a high level. I wonder what the Jets and Giants woud look like now if Cleveland had grabbed Saquon first.
  4. Hauschka last year won us two on his own, if he kicked lights out in the past two games we would have won them both (that includes kickoffs which should be touchbacks) That right there is your difference.
  5. Foster gets more separation than most receivers in the NFL. It was his ball skills that have held him back, yet he's made the best catches of the year for us. If I were Foster I would get an apartment near Josh in the offseason and train with him every day. Those guys need to get timing and speed down so Josh can get used to Fosters speed and tendencies. Throwing deep varies from one receiver to another because everyone runs differently. We will draft a WR high, put Zay in the slot, and Foster can be the WR3. Like Tasker always says, there are a million guys that can fly in a straight line (Listenbee types) but in order to make it in the NFL you have to be able to stop dead and catch balls underneath sometimes. Seems Foster can do that, and he's bigger than most burner types. Hard to believe he had less than 400 yards in his college career.
  6. I spelled his name wrong I think, but this guy has fully morphed into Sully. Everything negative, pretends like he speaks for all the fans in his articles, acts like this was supposed to be a winning season, you name it, he will criticize it and tell you how bad it is. His radio spots are unlistenable, honestly this dude is worse than Schopp if that's possible. So for the 3% of you that miss doom and gloom Sully, there's a new sheriff in town.
  7. And before this season here I am slamming Alabama's players as being overrated and generally failing in the NFL (mostly true) because the system is more of the strength than the individual players. Right now Foster is one of the best deep threats in the league, and if Wallace pans out it might take some pressure off Beane to draft a corner high. Taron and Levi could both be excellent long term pieces here. Would be huge.
  8. I like the idea. And we should get Rex to come in and be a guest coach. And we ONLY do Onsides kicks because who the hell would see that coming.
  9. One year deals are easy peasy. Throw some incentives in there and of course you keep the guy. He's got Jerry Hughes disruptiveness, but without the pyschopathic gene. LB's that can rush, cover AND tackle are gold. There is zero chance the Bills let him go, it's not like we're deep at LB anyway. Was this a rhetorical question post? Yeah, I fell for it..... He reminds me of Fred Jackson, who still had himself in great shape and was a huge team asset late in his career. (you know, until Whaley felt that Booby Dixon was a better call)
  10. Shaq Mason RG from the Pats and Daryl Williams the RT from Carolina. Those dudes will need big money and I think we're going to target both of them. Draft Tyler Biadasz Wisconsin, best center in the country (Stanford has a very good center also, wonder what Harry would think about him) Now you've got a frickin Oline baby. I say Foster, Zay and McKenzie can be your starting three WR's if they keep developing chemistry with Josh. They all get separation and they seem to all be doing well with ball skills which wasn't really a strong point for any of them in the past. Burn some picks on TE, RB and best player available everywhere else.
  11. Yeah Groy needs to really step up against the Jets or we aren't gonna roll them like last time. We need to draft the best young center in college football, whoever that is. No good ones in free agency coming up this offseason. Love flashed some edge skills in preseason. Beane trying to figure out draft and FA needs, this move makes sense to me. Special teams too maybe for Love replacing Holmes?
  12. Like when we popped the Jets last game playoff chances with Rex. Strangely satisfying.
  13. Tough to game plan for his runs when Josh doesn't game plan for them either. Its pure improv, with very little called runs any more. Kiko was spying all game, it didn't matter. The kid is a true double threat.
  14. Not if they watch the tape. He's not even a good red zone target any more. Someone will bring him into camp next year with a prove it deal, and he won't prove it.
  15. i did actually. And I just heard he released Holmes and KB so.... Mission accomplished
  16. Overall I like our coach. He's obviously awful at challenges, (I think we've lost all 11 red flags except one) although that call isn't made directly from Sean, he has to approve whether or not to challenge. He's hopefully learning to be a better game caller with clock management, play calls that match the clock situation and location on the field etc. I think this stuff all comes with experience--he's not even through his second year--and we all know this year is about PATIENCE. We're #2 in the league for penalties right now. It seems like every special teams play we run there is going to be another yellow flag on somebody, and we've seen how some of these other penalties can change games very easily (yeah Jordan Phillips, you may have cost us that game fool). Sean talks about discipline as a cornerstone of our team culture, but it's not translating to the field. We have a lot of undisciplined play still, and it's costing us dearly. Just take this week, channel some Marv Levy and put extra focus on special teams. Listening to Steve Tasker on WGR yesterday he was out of his mind with the way special teams is being coached and played on this team. From hitting McKenzie with TWO of our own guys on a punt return (game changer) to losing huge chunks of yards for blocks in the back, our special teams is a mess. Get it fixed Sean. Seriously, we have a legit punt/kick returner for the first time in a very long time and we can't even let the guy fair catch the ball much less legally block for him once he does. This reflects directly on the coach and he gets a D grade from me, not just for this past game either. (in honor of Tommy Boy, I'll give him a D plus) Secondly, please cut ties with your Carolina past completely and release KBenjamin. Everyone knows why, we all see the lack of effort, ineffectiveness. It's not funny any more. You aren't retaining him, we're developing a surprisingly good WR core here and all four of our WR's need to develop their chemistry with Josh. Zay, McKenzie, Foster and even Deonte might win a spot in camp next year. These guys are playing hard, getting separation, making plays and have a future with this team. KB has none of that. Send a message to the team and the fans that you practice what you preach and do what's best for the team always.
  17. I've wondered that too, but it seems there are very very few bobbled snaps by the NFL holders, and punters are used to looking the ball in and catching bullet snaps. As an aside, we must have set an NFL record with three different punters and four different qb's in the same season.
  18. Go watch the ALL 22 from last week. + 70% completion if you don't count the penalties. Solid throwing mechanics, great pocket presence. Cmon man...
  19. It's all about game speed baby. Its why McKenzie and Foster are here to stay and RayRay is out. Foster always separates, the question was ball skills, high pointing, getting contested catches, etc. Imagine running that fast and catching that Josh bullet coming at you 9 feet high. greatest grab of the year for us.
  20. We almost lost him for the season on that silly read option to the left near the goal line at the end. If his foot planted there his knee was going full Willis McGahee. I know he can run but the kid is 6'5 and should be running north/south, not sweeps. He doesn't have the Russell Wilson/Mahomes body and the risk is pretty high for an injury if they keep trying that stuff with him. NFL hits aren't like college hits. Come on Daboll, figure something else out. Hey maybe use Chris Ivory or a running back that can hit a hole on time and with forward momentum? Sorry for the thread hijack. sincerely, a worried dad
  21. Best two guys on the field defensively for us this past Sunday. Lorax was even hammering tackles on special teams. Both must be retained if they still want to play.
  22. Yeah unlike throwing a punch at someone's throat like Fournette did. The can was an empty thrown at a guy with full padding, a facemask and helmet on who smashes into 300lb men for a living. I'm pretty sure he'll be OK. I wouldn't have done it, but it was one helluva shot and I'm glad the guy had the balls to do it.
  23. Sabres rolling up the wins, UB kicking ass today by 30 points and now heading to win the MAC championship. Bills at home, off a bye week, got the new rookie QB back with some experience under his belt, team playing the best ball it has all season. Pretty much everybody healthy (Shaq?) and some new faces like Teller at RG and McKenzie/Foster speeding up our offense a bit. Playing against Marrone, Hackett and Dareus as they embarrass themselves in another city like they did here. Yeah I think it's going to be a great home win for us at the perfect time.
  24. Obviously the draft will hinge on what free agency lands us in March but remember there are a handful of other teams out there with just as much free capital to spend as we have. I think we'll sign the Carolina Panthers RT and possibly Shaq Mason for RG but will be taking the best Center available in the draft because the unrestricted FA Center's coming up this year are weak.
