Stop that narrative. Not this year. Yes McD and co were outcoached. But just because Reid and Spagnola are the top tier, the clear number ones. It was still a very good showing by McD, Brady and Babish. Just not enough.

At what point do we start blaming Beane ?

1st round picks - besides Josh! - have been duds. But he has done a great job elsewhere and in FA. As much as I can't stand the sight of Kincaid right now, I give it another season for sure to prove himself. Elam though, damn. And Worthy has proven way more useful than Coleman. -
Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
Jerome007 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's heroes in some games. And tonight there's Elam and Kincaid. Damn. -
Yessss. I was actually surprised that we knew quickly that Rapp was out. Let the Chiefs plan in the dark

It's been a weird season in that ALL receivers have had supbar numbers, except Shakir. Yet Josh is a legit MVP candidate. Both together make no sense ha ha. And besides Kincaid, Ty Johnson should be used more, he is a legit WR! -
Anyone else here going through "The Calmness?"
Jerome007 replied to We'reWalking's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. You and I have been feeling EXACTLY the same. Edit: except for the "window" While I didn't feel it was closed, you never know. You just have to make the most of your opportunities! -
I'm in the same mood as with the Ravens. The Bills CAN win and I sure want them to win, no inferiority complex at all, but it's basically a 50/50 proposition. So come game time, I'll be a raging combattive madman, but till then I find it hard to get fully into it. On top of playing well and the refs not screwing the Bills, luck has to be there, converting 3rd downs, etc. I really hate to say it, but it's so hard getting to the Superbowl that I'm more shocked now that Tom Brady did it 10 times than I was back then! That being said, GO BILLS!!! Just one before we die. It's the year to do it!!!

I love Josh doing it but other teams have started using TEs and other players for it. They don't have to risk Josh every time! There's been some trick plays too. Maybe not a 4th down but on 2nd and 1, why not. And Josh could take the ball and run off tackle. He's done that before in obvious "QB sneak" plays.

This win against the Ravens was all runs and a Dink & Doink offense. The Ravens threw way more deep balls. Not all of them worked, but the Bills didn't even try any. And it wasn't the first time this season. Yet... they keep on winning. But let's be real: yesterday it was the D causing turnovers that won the game. The offense had a bad 2nd half. It IS weird that with a canon arm QB we see no deep passes attempted.

Yep. And it's crazy! We see hockey players missing weeks and weeks. Boxers and MMA have to take 90+ days off any contact in training... and in the NFL they play the next week! Hopefully, they really monitor these guys.

1/19/25 Division Round Playoff Post Game Thread Bills vs. Ravens

One catch for our TWO top receivers (on paper)... how can that be. It's been like that all year, no unique to this game. Yet the offense is clicking and scoring ha ha. It still makes no sense. We can dream that against KC and in the Superbowl, somehow, Cooper and Samuels become threats again. Kincaid too, while at it. BTW there was no deep pass attempt by the Bills! At all! The Ravens did try some and succeeded in a few. Josh is too good to just dink and doink all game. -
I also get your point. But 1(2) catches for a top receiver, or, for TWO top receivers... how can that be. It's been like that all year, no unique to this game. Rapp was making plays before that. Milano, Bernard and Johnson did their part too. Not the same as the first Ravens meetup was it.
-
I cared ha ha. The goal is indeed to win. Yet he can be, and should be, a big part of that. It is quite weird. The Bills have a crazy good offense yet Cooper and Samuels are MIA.

Quite a few top QBs have NOT won a SuperBowl. I certainly not want Josh to be on that list! Lamar? Meh. I'm not rooting for the Ravens

Both QBs had very average stats, even running. Of course Lamar had 2 turnovers. Regardless, my point is more than stat freaks forget about things like WEATHER. -

And the crazy blitzes were working on defense in the 1st half. Why drop them completely in the 2nd half? -

The "mistakes" by Lamar were caused by PRESSURE. The fumble by Andrews by a heads up play by Bernard. Only the drop by Henry, and of couse the last one by Andrews were purely mistakes. -

Brady called a GREAT first half. But yes, he sucked in the 3rd quarter. Bad. I don't get it. BTW both teams barely made their QB run. Which is very surprising. -
I don't like many players on that team, but he is one of them ha ha. Sucks for him. Great for us. I'll take it
-
Has Bills D turned the corner with Milano back to almost normal?
Jerome007 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Milano has been a GREAT spy against Lamar in the past. He'll need to do that again. Still, the best D against the Ravens O, is the Bills again controlling the clock with long drives and running game, as they did against the Broncos. -
Yeah, that rubs us the wrong way. Yet, Bills fans invade much better than they get invaded ha ha. LA moving to Arizona barely changes a thing for the "homefield crowd advantage". The LA and Bengals teams have almost half the crowd rooting for the visitors all the time. It must get tiresome. GO BILLS

This Bills O-Line is Super Bowl caliber!!!
Jerome007 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel I can be one that can say " I told you so" when the Bills signed McGovern and drafted Torrence. Everybody was keying on that magical WR, but it starts with the OLine. And I expected these moves would deliver. It went even better! Brown has also exceeded expectations. I mean, he was good. Now he 's great. He and Dawkins are maulers. McGovern to center was also quite the move by the coaches. Morse was amazing at pulling, super fast for a big guy, but his push in run plays was below average. The constant addition of a 6th lineman is awesome, Anderson is sure doing his part, and I expect copycats (frequent use of a 6th Olineman). No salary cap for coaches, right? Pay Kromer and Brady to stay! -
Wild Card Round, Broncos 7 Bills 31, GAME BALLS!
Jerome007 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was the D with the most sacks against the O with the least allowed. OLline delivered, big time. Joe Brady planned well but the run game is also a credit to the OLine. Now pluck the ravens!
