Difference between Jackson and Taylor

Under the right scenario I'd take him at 21. The risk/reward ratio is worth it imo. -

And that's a fair criticism, one I thought of myself before I posted, although I think Jackson will be better as a runner and as a passer than Tyrod, but their styles are one in the same. If you want a rhythm pocket passer, I don't think Lamar Jackson will ever be that guy. -
I'm right there with ya buddy, just stockpile as many picks as possible, hopefully stockpile picks for 2019 too. We are not just one piece away, we need as many picks as possible.

Kyle Lauletta (Richmond) the target?

We're picking 21.... Just saying. -

If we did draft Jackson, I'd want to take advantage of him as a runner, I think it'd be a mistake not to. Run option, spread offense and of course sprinkles of a pro style offense. I do think he'll be way better than Taylor, but I don't think he'll ever be a 4,000 yard passer, he may get you 4,000 yards rushing/passing combined, maybe he could grow as a passer as time goes on, but forcing him to be a pocket QB early in his career is a really bad idea. -
They're pretty critical of White, Falk and Lauletta too. Outside of the top 5 they seem to have nothing nice to say about any of the 2nd round and lower round QBs, which makes sense, they'll be right most of the time, but at least 1 maybe 2 QBs drafted in the 2nd round or later will have a successful career and maybe 2-3 of the 1st round QBs will bust completely. The key is finding which guy is going to fall through the cracks.

You seem to be fixated on Rosen and Darnold though and I just think that's wishful thinking. If the Browns take Barkley #1, Darnold and Rosen could both be gone at #4, so Barkley is not an option at #1. What about the Giants? Eli Manning is a billion years old, I do not see the Giants passing on Rosen, they're way too smart of a franchise to do that. Once again, who do you like? You have these delusional thoughts that we are going to somehow trade up for Rosen or Darnold, it's not happening. Our only option may be to sift through the 4th, 5th, 6th best prospect. If we can find a journeyman veteran to carry the load, we can groom a prospect behind him for a few years. Cousins, Brady and Garropolo have one thing in common, they got to sit for a few years. Rudolph or Lauletta behind Keenum for 1-2 years is our best chance. In an ideal world we could draft the top rated QB, but that's just not how the real world works. -

What do you do when Darnold and Rosen go 1 and 2? Do you just give up and not draft a QB? I'm curious. -

Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garrapolo, Tom Brady, Derek Carr, Andy Dalton etc. were not highly coveted players either. Rosen and Darnold will be gone, let the scouts do their homework. Case Keenum mentoring Kyle Lauletta would not be a bad situation to be in. -

I like him as a RD2 option, I prefer Rudolph but I do like Lauletta. I'm not a big fan of trading up, I think Rosen and Darnold will be gone anyways. Browns would be stupid to not take Darnold and likewise for the Giants if they pass on Rosen. If we stay put, I like Rudolph. If we can trade down, I'll take the extra picks and draft Lauletta. I think he would be a great option behind Case Keenum, we'll know more after free agency. -
Bills need all 8 picks in the draft to get better.

This draft is critical, we are sitting on a gold mine of picks, a draft loaded at pretty much every major weakness we have QB, DT and LB. -

So you view him as a 2nd round prospect? You don't take a QB in the 2nd if you don't feel he can be the guy. I think we field a better team with Rudolph + 7 picks versus Darnold/Rosen + 4 picks. -

Just seems like really strong language to be using, nobody knows, not even pro scouts or NFL GMs. I'm agnostic towards Allen, Mayfield and Jackson but I won't flat out say they won't be a franchise QB because I don't know. In the right scenario I'd take any QB in the draft if the talent to draft ratio lines up. I wouldn't just that out take a top prospect off my board and say he sucks or won't be a franchise QB. -

I don't mind that you have an opinion, but to state it as fact is highly annoying. Please don't be the TBD version of Mel Kiper or we can't be friends. -

I'm not going to put you down for having a different opinion, I have my reasons, none of which you countered with anything of substance. -

I want Rudolph at 21. He's going to rise up draft boards and should be within striking distance, we likely won't have to move. It's not that I think Darnold or Rosen aren't worth it (they are), I just think Rudolph is a franchise QB and we can keep all of our picks. Smart, awesome size, mobile, great deep ball. Listen to this guy in interviews, the way he handles the press, he is a professional and sounds like a 10 year vet. Any issue Rudolph has can be corrected, he can be taught and is teachable. -
Mason Rudolph is the kind of guy I want representing our city. Will he even be there at 21? Guy regularly hits 35-40 yard passes with ease, moreso than any QB in this class. Listen to him in interviews, he's smart, any faults he has can be corrected.

Lamar Jackson on why he chose Louisville ...
Victory Formation replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, he did not come off as very smart in that interview and um I'm not sure if he can handle the mental aspect of the game and um I think he has a lot of anxiety. (Kidding, I think he'll be better than RG3.) Give me Rudolph at 21 or Kyle Lauletta in the 2nd. Not interested in anyone else. Don't think we should move up either.
