  1. I think the offensive line will be their top priority this offseason. They should look to the draft for a running back. They have plenty of extra picks as of now, rookie running backs can be very impactful and they are very cheap. Get some players to grow with Allen. If the right guy is there, get him.
  2. Forgot about that season. Yes they were good but clearly things fell apart. The haul that they got out of both players was worth it to me. Both players were going to need big contracts, Mack's being massive. With Carr getting paid, they can't have another massive contract on the books. Tough decision but one that should be made. Don't know why so many were surprised by the moves. Yes but Mack got a massive contract and they have Carr's contract already. Instead they'll have a few players on rookie contracts. Makes it much easier to add more pieces.
  3. If you are an offensive player, you have to believe you are going to beat your defender and have the confidence to go right at them. It's a different style of coaching, not my favorite but still a style of coaching. It's to try to get both players to play with more fire. It works for some and it offends others. I've experienced coaches like that and if you don't have the same type of mentality, you are likely to dislike them.
  4. I’d need more details to give a better opinion but I’ve known plenty of 16-17 year olds that could’ve used some constructive criticism and a good kick in the pants. Anyway, he now has the draft picks to bring in multiple talents instead of riding on one guy on defense. An overhaul of that roster is needed.
  5. People constantly blame him for the conservative playcalling but you play to your roster’s strengths. We were a better defensive team than offensive team in each of the last two seasons. I think he’ll be more aggressive with a more consistent/reliable offense. Being more aggressive isn’t always the right call.
  6. No I think they’ll look to draft one. Not too high as there is nobody worth drafting high but a mid round pick would be ideal.
  7. Very few coaches reach the super bowl. It’s been a while since he’s coached. People can improve as they see things from different perspectives. I think he deserves a chance. Mistakes are made and people can learn from them. He has plenty of draft picks to work with and he’s not alone in building this team. Fans don’t like him rebuilding a team that hasn’t seen the playoffs in 16 years. They weren’t close to being a contender haha. Don’t understand the enormous amount of hate tossed at that situation.
  8. I don't know why people are shocked Gruden blew up Oakland. It's been a long time since they've seen the playoffs. He's had success in the past, let the man work. It will be a process that will take time. They really weren't close to a contending team before those trades. Now they have three first round picks to try to jump-start their rebuild. Fans get too caught up with the immediate effects with some trades.
  9. Mayfield has been good but has by far the most talent around him on offense. I'd like to see what all of these players do after their team's invest more in their offenses.
  10. Scratch TJ Yeldon off of the list. Don't want any part of anyone in that locker room. Give me more players that give it all on every play like Kyle Williams. None of these drama queens.
  11. Some players develop at a slower rate. Glad he played well this year. Hoping for a 2 year $14 deal. Gives him a chance to stay at a reasonable price but also to build on his solid play and earn a larger contract.
  12. They took a chance on a guy that had 9 sacks before his injury last year. We can get out of the contract without much harm. Gotta take some chances, no GM hits on every single player they bring in. He was hurt this year too, he had 4 sacks in a rotation while missing games. What'd you expect for a 7 million dollar player. Players will be paid a lot more money now with the cap rising, 7 million isn't much for an edge rusher. Just wait to see what the contracts look like this offseason.
  13. We aren't interested in developing another rookie QB. Focus on Allen! He's the future. Veteran mentors who have plenty of on-field experience are important.
  14. It’s as if some fans have never seen a player improve. Plenty of players take time to grow, especially at receiver. Fans just have no patience today.
  15. Certainly an option to look at but with a class as deep and as talented in the draft at DT, I think more focus will be on adding veterans to our offensive line. We should be adding more youth to the d-line IMO. That being said, we have a lot of cap space and I would support the decision based on what his talent would bring to this team.
  16. I like the mindset but I think Edmunds is fine where he is. Just needs to keep developing. Took a nice step forward yesterday. I think adding another young linebacker is smart. Hopefully bring back Alexander to help a rookie learn perfhapd? Same thing as they did with Williams and Phillips this year. Harrison Phillips had 33 tackles in limited play this season. Keep improving the front 7.
  17. I think you need to be a little more realistic. You have selected some of the top free agents on the market at their positions. Buffalo isn't going to draw all of them. No team ever does. They will have to find some lower profile players as well and hope that they fit well here. Like Jordan Poyer.
  18. Obviously the draft process will reveal a good deal about these players. Oliver is gifted and looks to be the penetrating type that we need
  19. Stats are the only thing that matters to some fans, especially with the fantasy football crowd.
  20. Not surprised at all. The cap keeps going up. Players will get paid more and comparing the salaries of an NFL player to a baseball or basketball player, they should. E'Twaun Moore makes about the same per season in the NBA. It's time the more dangerous sport of the three starts compensating their players better.
  21. Cannabis does cause harm, but the harm comes from heavy long-term use and is mostly linked to mental health – lasting physical harm is unlikely, while poisoning or death is unheard of.
  22. Just bring in more guys that can catch. Give me players that can catch and get open. Whether they are a number 1 or not, I don't think that really matters with Allen. Just get a guy that can catch and I think Allen will make him look better than he is because of his down the field passing. I never thought Jordy Nelson was a true number 1 receiver but he put up those kind of numbers because Rodgers threw the ball down the field to him making big chunk plays.
  23. Offensive lineman in FA over any other position. I'd rather go into the draft eyeing the strengths of the draft instead of forcing a need. Plus, Dawkins and Teller could see a jump in their play with solid veteran play next to them. Time to spend some money!
