Better put away all the rubber mats if they bring him in...

Stevie wasn't special. Fitzpatrick wasn't special either. But they had a special connection. That's what brought Stevie success while he was here.

Lamar Jackson continues to be severely overrated. His MVP last year was so weak. Who would take Jackson over Allen for their QB? Heck, I'd rather have Burrow, Stroud, and Love as well. Obviously Mahomes. He is a good player, but he should not be in the conversation as one of the top 5 players in the entire NFL.

Cuts, Waiver Claims & 90 man roster depth: A study
MJS replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets have been able to acquire decent talent, especially on defense. The problem is they never seem to keep them around. They let then walk in free agency, or they trade them, or they pick the wrong players to keep, etc. They always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot. They've had high draft picks for forever, so they always bring in talent. -
Other Teams Cuts That Might Help the Bills
MJS replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Zach Wilson would be a good backup. Zappe too. -
Jones has seemed fine to me. I think he would be good depth. But I think Andreessen has a higher upside. If it came down between the two of them, I'd choose Andreessen.
-
He has been decent. I think this means they want to keep Andreessen.
-
He has a big arm. Can be very accurate. He is mobile. He seems like a guy who might be a resurgent QB a few years from now after he gets some of the mental things down.
-
You're getting down voted, but Zach Wilson is clearly superior to Mike White. Mike White is just a guy.
-
This guy? No way. He's got that growth mindset.

Who won last year?
-
Solomon and Grable are draft picks plus they've shown plenty of upside to be rosterable. They will make the team for sure. Ingram is the 4th corner. Who makes it ahead of him? MVS I think is the 5th receiver. Not sure any of the others make it ahead of him. We'll see with Andreessen. I see him as a 50/50 chance to make the roster.

I'm just giving friendly advice. It will help you not get "attacked".

Well, you asked a question with a very easy to find answer. Discussing that season is fine, but maybe you could have provided more to the discussion yourself if this was something you were interested in talking about.

I don't think so. There are a few overly optimistic posters, but I think there are more overly negative ones. Gunner is one of the ACTUAL realists. He is positive when warranted, and negative when warranted. His opinions are not clouded by emotional outbursts one way or the other.

Plenty of QBs will come available after cut downs. No need to trade for one.

One site has the Jets favored to win the AFCE
MJS replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I could see the Jets getting to 10 wins, as well as the Dolphins. I could also see them disappointing and only getting like 8 or 9 wins. We'll see. I think the Bills will still win the division, though. I see 11 wins for the Bills. Of course, this could be the year that the Bills disappoint, and the soft reset takes its toll. The division should be interesting. But the Bills are still the AFC East champs and the other teams have more to prove. They have to take it, and it isn't going to be easy. -
Well, it must work because they spend a lot of money to get these endorsements.
-
That's why you need bigger receivers. The refs aren't always going to call holding or pass interference.
-
Ok. We can add division wins for 1968 and 1969. That still has them in last place, though.
-
Oh, gotcha. I misread. I thought they meant the Colts had 4 and the Jets had 2.
-
The Colts have 6 according to that list.
