If anyone wants to say the NFL isn't rigged, please re-watch that game
MJS replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry, can't give the defense credit. They gave up 33 points, including two long TD's, one to end the game. They gave up over 100 yards and a score to their RB. Also over 360 yards and 2 TD's to Brady. So no, I am going to give credit to Allen and nobody else. -
Refs aren't always going to call PA. That's why it's important to have some big, physical receivers who can make plays even when defenders are mugging them. We have some good receivers, and Gabe Davis is bigger, but we don't have a guy like Evans who can go up and get the ball and play really physical.

Keep crying about the refs if you want. That might help you sleep at night? -

Ball spots were off all night in favor of the Bucs. Lots of other little things. But the refs were not why the Bills lost. The Bills playing like crap for more than a half is why they lost. It was fun to watch them come back, at least. Allen is a warrior.- 563 replies

Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Second Half thread

How come the Bills don't try to block the field goals? They just stand around and let them kick it. -

Once for 5 yards. -
Same. I've been tempted by past games, but I am fully on board now.

That's the problem. They don't blow. Good receivers. Knox is a good TE. Singletary is a good running back. I'd also argue that each offensive lineman starter is better than the sum of their parts. Daboll and the oline coach need to go. -

They move the ball up so Brady has enough room to kneel it. -

Good stop. Offense has to do something now. Can't keep putting everything on the defense. -

They need to get Allen on the move more. -
I only care about the score. Win it 2-0 and I'll be happy.

They really need to pull out all the stops. No more dumb stuff. Do what you are good at. Every player on offense should be angry and willing to take it out on the Bucs. -
What happens in today's game that are "small wins" for the Bills?

I only care about winning the game. -

I think that poll is too simplistic. Not even going to answer because it is WAY more complicates than just the caliber of players and coaches. -
When does chasing the almighty $$$ overcome the sanctity of the sport???

"The league" is 32 owners. 30 owners would have to sign off on their team having no shot to make the Superbowl. The commissioner works for the owners. That's why fixing games on a widespread level is not a thing. I watch every Superbowl, but there is no additional draw for me to watch those two teams. It's a detraction for me, honestly. And I'm certain that there are tons of people who are sick of seeing both Tom Brady and the Patriots in the superbowl. -
Bill Belichick has done the same exact thing.
-
Yes I have. I was at the Saints game. It was the only thing I didn't enjoy. Really annoying to have speakers blasting nonsense into my ears all night.
-
I don't agree. I think the team has good leadership. They just all need more experience, and they are getting it.
-
Exactly. Teams are treating a game against the Bills like a playoff game, and celebrating it like a Superbowl win. The Bills were clearly not ready for the increase in intensity that opponents are bringing them this year. Hopefully, this is valuable experience for the future. You can't just get to the top. You have to consistently earn your spot there. Fight and claw your way back up. It makes what the Patriots did over the last couple of decades that much more impressive. Every opponent they faces brought their all, and the Patriots still clawed out victory after victory. Bills aren't there yet, but they can get there.

It's not bad luck. They aren't starting caliber QB's. They are brought in to be bridge QB's. Fitz is light-years better of a QB anyway. Tyrod had a nice run in Buffalo, but he has not been the same since he left. Fitz has actually gotten a lot better since leaving.
