Mahomes is getting the ball out very quickly this year, with great results. When he is forced to hold onto the ball more than 2.5 seconds he has not been very good. This is not the same Chiefs team as last year. They are running the ball more as well. This is a huge game for them. They will be supremely motivated. They are last in their division and everyone has been talking negatively about them, especially their defense. They are going to want to make a statement. I'm excited. I think it should be a good game. They got some good pressure against Washington. Their QB slipped away time after time. He was pretty elusive in the pocket. Mahomes can do that too, though....

Dawson Knox ha been on a really good streak extending from last season, actually. His past 13 or 14 games have been pretty solid.

Diggs sets new Bills and NFL record(s)
MJS replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I understand the logic, I think it just doesn't make sense to credit a QB with zero points for a passing TD. If anything, the QB and recievers should split the points. QB's often (not always) are doing 90% of the work. Dropping back, reading the defense, delivering the ball accurately, and putting the ball in a place for the receiver to make a play and get in the end zone. Statistics like these don't accurately reflect the game we watch, a game dominated by QB's who contribute big-time to scoring. Yet our scoring record book is littered with kickers who play one of the lowest percentage of snaps of any position and who, while important, are nowhere near the level of value of the QB. Anyways, not a big deal at all. Just interesting. -

Diggs sets new Bills and NFL record(s)

Not saying Bass hasn't been impressive. I just understand the record. Like, kickers are always the highest scorers but that never makes sense to me when you look at the actual points. Maybe it's looking at individual scoring events, like every extra point and every field goal counts as a single score. Not the points. -
Sure, but Hill did have 172 yards against us in the playoffs. He was a big factor.

I don't understand the Bass points thing. Is that just for kickers? Josh Allen scored 32 TD's (passing and rushing) his first 20 NFL games. That's 192 points (6 points per TD) and I'm sure there are quite a few QB's who scored more than Allen in their first 20 games, which means they had more points than Bass too. So what am I missing? For instance, Mahomes had 62 total TD's in his first 20 games, even including that game at the end of his rookie year that he didn't score in. That's a total of 372 points in his first 20 games. -
This dude has proven over and over that he is a me-first player. He is not going to add positively to the team chemistry and culture here. And his best days are behind him as a player anyway. He will try to get as much money as he possibly can. The Bills do not have cap space.

Criticized by whom? Just Chiefs fans? Because everyone else on the planet thought it was justified.

Beat the Bills in the Playoffs = A Curse on your Franchise?
MJS replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They already have a locker room of criminals and low character individuals, so I don't think they'll mind bringing anyone else in with off the field issues. -
He could have his leg snapped and never be the same. I don't think it is wise to offer hall of fame takes until a player has significant seasons under their belt and have achieved something. Mahomes is close because he has already taken his team to two Superbowls, winning one, and he has been an MVP. He already has some hall of fame worthy accolades. But Herbert? Not even close. At least let him take his team to the playoffs first.

One Bills Live with Chris Brown and... Maddy Glab?
MJS replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, I liked Murphy, although he went downhill over the years. I like Tasker. I loathed Donald Jones. I like Chris Brown. I have defended the show a lot over the years. Maddy Glab just doesn't add any value to the show at all. I don't see how anyone could say she is doing a good job. Now, when she isn't a regular and just comes on the show for her short, silly segments? Fine. Whatever. But it's a train wreck when she is expected to talk for three hours about NFL football. She rambles worse than Tasker, and it's always just to restate what Brown says. 100% of the time (unless they are rambling about their personal lives). I don't care if she is fired or not. Just don't ask her to do what she clearly can't do. She can't talk about football live on air for 3 hours straight. For short, specific segments she is fine. -
Sure, but I think most people would say they were a lot more active and better at sports and physical things when they were in their 20's vs their 30's. I know I was. Part of it is just lifestyle. I was a lot more active then and had a more active job. Once I got a desk job I went downhill and was a lot less active. And I had kids so I was not as free to just leave and go play sports with friends or even work out as much. People have some recency bias. Beebe is one of the fastest in NFL history.

One Bills Live with Chris Brown and... Maddy Glab?

I like Cover 1, but they are a little long winded and annoying for me. They provide great breakdowns, but their constant chuckling kind of wears at me. -

Donald Jones was almost as bad as Glab, but in different ways. Did you ever listen when he was doing the show with Murphy? It was just so painfully obvious that he put zero effort into it, and I'm pretty sure Murphy came to resent him because he was carrying the show completely by himself and he'd constantly say passive aggressive things to Jones. It was bad. My favorite is the Locked On Bills podcast with Joe Marino. He provides some great stats following games and has a great primer for the next game each week. It's clear he knows the NFL really well. He was very negative about the Bobby Hart signing because he knew about his past performances. He does his homework. Tasker has been all on board with masks and vaccines and everything from the beginning. He talks about it all the time. He's not as boisterous about it as Chris Brown, but he has been a full supporter, at least that's how he came across to me. -

In this case, and probably this case only, it has nothing to do with gender. Glab is just legitimately bad. I gave her a chance. I even bore with her in the beginning knowing that she was new and telling myself she might get better. But no. She has not. Some say she has an annoying voice. I've got no problem with her voice. She just never provides value at all on the radio show. -
Josh Allen good under pressure, bad when not pressured
MJS replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way to beat Josh historically is to drop into coverage and take away the deep stuff, and contain him in the pocket. Easier said than done, but if you can do that it burns him up to just take the short easy stuff. Eventually he tries to push the ball down field. Sometimes it turns into amazing big plays, though. So this makes some sense to me. Although he was pressured a lot week 1, and had to evade a lot of pressure week 2. -

One Bills Live with Chris Brown and... Maddy Glab?
MJS replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't listen to the show with Maddy Glab. All she does is repeat what Chris Brown says, but in a way that makes it twice as long to say. She provides nothing of value. It makes the show unlistenable for me. Steve is a little discombobulated and has strange things to say, but at least he isn't just a parrot repeating everything he hears from others on the show. Hope he returns soon. Anyway, thanks for the heads up that she is still on the show today. I will not be listening to it later.- 103 replies
