Hmm, I don't really agree with that. I think the Diggs situation was a little more unique. He was seen as a much safer bet to produce like a #1.

I bet he died of his injuries and Maddy Glab has taken over his Twitter to keep up appearances.

It was a widely held view that Diggs was better than what he was producing in Minnesota and that he could be a #1 receiver if he had more opportunities. He was the subject of a lot of trade rumors because of that, and because he was unhappy there. And it turned out to be true. He came here and balled out for a few years and showed that the speculation was correct.

Neither had season ending injuries last year...

People say why they dislike her all the time. She hasn't gotten much better at all. Like, at all. She is basically the same as when she started. She is NOT prepared for every show because she doesn't have the football knowledge to be of value. Her go-to contribution is to repeat everything that Chris Brown says in a longer and more confusing way. She fills her allotted speaking time with fluff and filler words while saying basically nothing. I'm not as annoyed by her voice as many, but it certainly doesn't enhance anything. This particular topic about the question and Josh's answer is a big nothing burger, but everything fans complain about with her is true. Just as you accuse fans of hating her because she is a woman, I think the ones who defend her do it only because she is a woman.

Why is it ridiculous? Everyone states why they don't like her. She isn't good at her job. She provides nothing of value in a conversation about football. Her job is to speak and her voice is annoying. I think it is perfectly reasonable that she gets hate. Many of us gave her the benefit of the doubt years ago hoping that she would get better, but she hasn't.

Shakir is a good receiver and he is an ascending player. But he is an inside slot guy. Yes he can play outside and he does get used that way, but he is most dangerous in the slot and the middle of the field. That limits his ceiling, honestly. Especially with the Bills, who do not have a high volume passing offense. Targets and touches are limited. He is young and ascending, though, so I think that gives him a bump and I'd put him ranked in the mid 20's somewhere. There would be more productive receivers below him in the ranking, but they are guys on the descent or who are productive because of their situation rather than raw ability.
