  1. Yep. They are backups for a reason.
  2. He wasn't even that great of a blocker. Hey, Gabe Davis is a good 3rd/4th option. You just don't want him as a 1 or 2. If we can get him back for cheap, it wouldn't hurt.
  3. Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G, Daniel Jones, Jake Browning, Marcus Mariota, Andy Dalton, Jacoby Brisset, Gardner Minshew, Cooper Rush, Zach Wilson, etc. Russell Wilson at this point (even though he is technically starting, but he is basically a backup level QB now). Tyrod Taylor is still maybe above average as a backup. I was actually really hoping the Bills would sign Zach Wilson as a backup. He is athletic and has a big arm. He is a good kid and would probably really benefit from being with a strong organization and Josh Allen. I think he would be a good backup.

    Jimmy Ciarlo

If he makes it, it's because he shows up and makes plays on special teams. It would be cool if he became a core special teamer.
  5. Actually, one of his pre draft concerns was his arm strength. But he does have a little athleticism. And it still appears to be an issue: https://forum.chicitysports.com/threads/tyson-bagent’s-arm-strength-is-still-a-glaring-issue.102375/
  6. You are using your knowledge post draft to say they should have drafted one high in the draft. Cole Bishop was still highly thought of then. And he has barely played, so maybe wait to see how he does this year and don't write him off from a single preseason game.
  7. They drafted one high last year!
  8. What did he average in the elimination games, which is what I actually referenced? And how many TDs?
  9. Some teams have performed that badly in regular season games. It sucks to watch, but that is football. Sometimes the games suck. That's just baked into the nature of the game. Fans aren't entitled to a high quality performance by their team. The NFL itself does everything it can to provide an exciting product, but that doesn't always happen, especially in preseason.
  10. My issue with Diggs was his playoff performances, particularly in elimination games. He was terrible. Elite regular season WR, but a ghost in the playoffs when we needed him most. That is a problem. To be truly elite, you need to show up in the playoffs when it matters.
  11. So did Nathan Peterman. He was a preseason superstar. He isn't really above average as a backup. Maybe average at best. But that's fine.
  12. No. Not even the drought Bills were that bad. I had flashbacks of watching the 4th preseason game back when we still had those and just how silly and useless those games were to watch. They were meaningless, and this game was meaningless as well. Well, you should know the risks when purchasing preseason tickets and going to those games. Buyer beware.
  13. Sure, but we've known this now for years. That's why you are getting sparky comments.
  14. Good pressure by Landon Jackson.
  15. Jackson completely gave up on that play.
  16. None. But I'd want an elite pass rusher.
  17. All the fringe guys are playing, haha.
  18. Hamlin and Andreasen not having good games so far.
  19. He's actually a good tackler with a low missed tackle rate, so no, not looking like Hamlin.
  20. Hey look! They are calling holding this game.
  21. This is why they focused on the crappy teams. Good teams are just too boring because there is very little drama, starting jobs are mostly set, etx. The Bills would have be EXCELLENT content during some of the drought years. Or can you imagine the Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie years on hard knocks? That would have been good.
  22. McDermott as a defensive coordinator brings a lot more pressure and blitzes, though, especially in key situations. But he doesn't call the defense, usually.
  23. What a motivational leader that guy is. Makes you want to run through a brick wall, doesn't he?
  24. So... where's the other $600 million that was spent? Those extensions only add up to $637 million.
