  1. Right. I don't think Beane would have had blinders on about what we still needed to address if we had won. The gameplan for the offseason should have been the same regardless.
  2. McD's like 50 and has been coaching for 20+ years...he had to learn to squib it there and that we didn't need to protect the sideline? That's what's scary to me...I don't think it was a learning thing, he just flat out choked in a big moment. He did it vs the Chiefs the year before too. If it's a learning thing and he didn't know any of that, I think that's pretty scary too. I still think people are actually way too easy on MCD. #17 left his blood and guts out there and our coach was unprepared and wasn't up to the task. He talks big about preparation and work ethic but I don't see that at a championship level from him. Hopefully we'll still be good enough and with JA magic we can still win it.
  3. I mean I think Beane did what he could to address it...but the biggest problem with 13 seconds was McD. That hasn't been resolved. We just have to hope another big game doesn't come down to his in-game management again.
  4. Are there any Youtube videos of him holding set to "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor" that I can watch?
  5. Their gameplan contributed to that. Also, McD has been given many years and really an abundance of resources in terms of signings and high round draft picks to build a D that can come up with a big stop or two and he simply hasn’t done the job. He hasn’t been up to that task or been able to adequately manage a big game and it’s hurt us so badly in both of the last two years.
  6. I think this is pretty accurate. He was a good coach for where we were when he came on board in terms of helping to build the culture. I do. think he's a liability for us now though in terms of game management and I'm terrified of having anything come down to his call/strategy in a big game. It's just an opinion because we'll never know for sure...but I'll probably always believe he cost us a Super Bowl this season. Not even just the 13 seconds, but I thought we really got conservative in the 1st half of that game But sometimes with a great player like #17 leading the way, you can overcome those liabilities and still win it all, and I'm just hoping we can do that.
  7. Haha I don't think that's real with McD here
  8. Honestly, I don't know what the right answer for any of this is. I don't necessarily like the idea of people being "forced" into positions...but on the other side I don't see how people think absolutely nothing is wrong and there isn't any kind of bias whatsoever when we literally have what, 2 black head coaches in the entire league?
  9. Bring back Bates! We need the production and depth on the o-line.
  10. Do no NFC teams want to win? There's such a great opportunity for a dark horse to make a SB run in that conference and it's like none of those teams want to land any impact players.
  11. I'll believe it when I see it. I still think there's some posturing here.
  12. No! We need to keep him, he really helped gel the o-line at the end of the season.
  13. Its really a 3 year deal though. It might be an overpay given he’s not what he used to be but we needed a pass rusher badly. I don’t hate it.
  14. Ohhh I’ve always liked his talent!
  15. Backloaded deal sounds much better if there’s an out after 2-3 years
  16. 6 years/120 can’t be real can it? We got taken to the cleaners if it is. Dudes 32!
  17. Noooo! Ugh this was the one offseason move I really liked.
  18. Is he still tall? That's all that matters, I don't care if he still doesn't know how to run routes.
  19. The trenches have been where Beane really hasn't done great work, and unfortunately it's so important to be strong there. I'm guessing we don't bring in a big-time pass rusher and just hope Rousseau pans out big but I don't see it. He's poured in so many resources into the D-line only for it to be so pedestrian and at times a major weakness.
  20. Hopefully he goes to the NFC. It's getting so crowded with top QB's in the AFC.
  21. I like this move. Wasn’t a big fan of our other moves so far but this one was needed. This is part of protecting #17.
  22. Sweet! This is awesome news. Love the way he was playing at the end of the season, especially in that crucial game in NE.
  23. Truth, but at least he's not over pursuing like #49
