Cool. We still need a RB2. I like Johnson and like the versatility he brings on ST. That said there is nothing remotely about him that is a RB2 in this league IMO. And 54 of those yards alone came from the Dallas game, where the Cowboys absolutely REFUSED to tackle any RBs. Good depth player. Wouldn't want him as "next man up" if Cook misses time.

Isaiah Hodgins Expected to Be Non-Tendered as RFA
BuffaloBillyG replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Guy was so good the Giants spent a pick to select his replacement in the draft and he could barely get on the field for a team with nothing in the WR room. He would likely be competing with Hollins and Shorter for a roster spot, and they each add more value as a ST in addition would that WR 4/5 role. -
With the WRs in this draft coming out, paying that much for a guy like Ridley in FA is just a horrible idea IMO. This is how bad teams stay bad.

Dang. I'm a Dane fan, but that looks to be a HUGE overpay.
-
Someone will vastly overpay. And I'm betting it's the Jets.

Brandon Beane has about a third of his tuna club left over from lunch. Rumor is Chris Grier is eyeing that as well.

Well, got a depth WR so far. I think the Bills have several close to or at vet minimum deals sent out. Players/agents will wait to see if anything else comes up before 4. Later today I see a few value signings. Maybe Jordan Whitehead at Safety. CEH for a RB. Perhaps even a cheap EDGE guy. Nothing big or splashy.

Not the "Mack" most Bills fans hoped to aquire today. But not a bad signing. Vet that wouldn't likely cut into a rookie WRs snap count. Can do the dirty work (a Sherfield/Kumrow hybrid). I am ok with this. Shouldn't cost much.
-
Discount? I doubt that. One thing about Poyer is he doesn't leave money on the table. This is backup money for a fading vet with a looooong history of injuries. At that rate it's not even a guarantee he makes the final roster.

Glad he found a job. And in a year Beane has touted finding more explosive players....glad Miami's secondary just got a whole lot slower.
-
Meh. Ok signing, but didn't think LBer was a pressing "1st signing in FA" type need. Hopefully, this is just depth and not a reflection of where Milano is physically.
-
I'll say this. If Beane had wanted to keep Davis as much as he was saying last year he would have found $13M AAV. That's a lot...but not a crippling amount. They were ready to upgrade the position.

Good. Let Mahomes get his nuts grabbed twice a year for a change...

So, we can sign any FA out there and we're spending the early hours of FA on extensions and bringing back our own guys. Tells me we are NOT looking to be aggressive in the least. To the draft ..
